I love this version! The musicianship is bond blowing. Still, however, I listen to the original by Lata (higher even than this octave) is almost alien in it’s rendering. Shreya’s beautiful voice is like a string the higher it gets the more delicate it sounds. Lata’s voice has a richness that doesn’t lose it’s throaty honey like quality even at it’s highest note. True. Bengali here. I was expected to be learn singing the moment parents heard that I could hold a tune. My niece has been put into singing class to see if she will enjoy it. Singing, drawing, reading and even dancing is highly encouraged. I went for drawing, singing and dancing lessons as a kid. But I chose reading as my calling. Parents and relatives bought me loads of books to ensure I always had new books to read, age 7 onwards.
I may also suggest you to check the videos of K S Chitra, another divine voice of India... Chitra has won 6 times the best female singer award in India.... highest so far... Chitra and A R Rahman together has created beautiful melodies..... I hope you will soon put a reaction video on K S Chitra singing....

True. Bengali here. I was expected to be learn singing the moment parents heard that I could hold a tune. My niece has been put into singing class to see if she will enjoy it. Singing, drawing, reading and even dancing is highly encouraged. I went for drawing, singing and dancing lessons as a kid. But I chose reading as my calling. Parents and relatives bought me loads of books to ensure I always had new books to read, age 7 onwards.
