I love metal but I always avoided the "screamo" side of things but this song is so fucking passionate it feels like the emotions they're conveying could only be expressed in this form. The way this song just touches every thought and feeling in such a harmonious way to how I feel it is amazing.
You said exactly how I feel about MMF and Like Moths to Flames. I swear almost every other band that has clean vocals with screaming in it just seems to me like they were in a board room and they said " well sign you, but you need to have clean vocals in it." These two bands seen so legit to me though. Like they just wrote the songs how they knew they could express them not just to have clean vocals with screaming.
That's exactly what I try to convey to people why I love heavy metal. Metalcore was always the best mix of melody but heaviness. The screaming is so brutally honest and expressive. It makes me feel more connected to the song. But even I need a break from it and listen to a wide array of other music. But when you find songs that lyrically connect and the way they convey the emotion hits, it's other worldly really
Not all lyrics fit because this wasn't a romantic relationship, but... to the woman that used to be my stepmom... You proved me to me that demons exist. A disease on my soul
This song describes how I feel to a T because my ex-gf broke up with me a couple days ago and got with another guy 2 days later, who she basically cheated on me with prior to that and she never trusted me. It really speaks about that. :"I gave you all of me. Put you first in line, such a waste of time." -> I always put her first and honored her but she did nothing of the sort. "You are a sick, sad waste of a human being." -> Her for doing that.
Chelsea Grin added cleans to one of there new tracks and Woe is me and Memphis are both Post-Hardcore. In Post Hardcore the screams and cleans are about 50 /50. When it comes to Metalcore and Deathcore It can really be what ever the band decides. When there's bands like Breakdown of Sanity and Parkway Drive under Metalcore or "New Hardcore" even when they do both pig squeals, screams, and blast beats its hard to tell them apart by ear however the lyrics are clearly in different mindsets.
i give this to the one person who compleatly stole my heart who f**ked up my mind and has never left scince sadly we are only friends and now im not sure were even friends any more
Metalcore - No cleans, metal music, lyrics about life and society. Deathcore - No cleans, heavier-metal music, lyrics about death and religion. Post-Hardcore - Cleans, metal music, lyrics about life and society. That basically sums it up. Though it is arguable that I am wrong and there is a bit more to it but that is the raw just of it.
What do you people want to bet that the people who disliked this video labeled the song as 'screamo'. Thumbs up if you hate people who confuse 'screamo' with post-hardcore.
like seriously? this puts all other post hardcore music look like justin beibers girly ass. haaha. keep showin us tht this is how its supposed to sound. ;}
"YOU WERE BROKEN......!!!!!!"

James "screamo" is an acquired taste. i loved the riffs and drum beats, so the vocals i just kinda learned to enjoy

This whole album spoke to my heart. And I’ll always love and thank MMF for having my back and dragging me forward..
Not all lyrics fit because this wasn't a romantic relationship, but... to the woman that used to be my stepmom... You proved me to me that demons exist. A disease on my soul
this fits ME. thanks guys. you put a lot of passion and emotion into your music, and thats what makes it so much better than it would be without that.
Had to come back to this song 😢 the new music around just doesn’t hit the same as these guys 👏🏾

To my dad.
i wanna scream this in the face of a couple ppl :)
The use of cleans is what distinguishes it from Metalcore. Metalcore and Deathcore are only different because of the lyrics and whats put into them.
Jax Sandler metalcore and death core are very different and lots of metalcore has cleans
Last good album they made wrll atleast fir my taste support to the change of artist though
Don't get me wrong, there old stuff is nice and challenger was pretty good
But nothing will never touch the hollow
