Rafil yeah I just let it sit there, it eventually started the rebuild which didn’t take long at all. Just keep in mind that the larger the hard drive, the longer it’ll take for it to start.
When you rebuild the data base does it keep all the system updates you did previously or does it revert back to the build you purchased the system with?
Hello bro, I bought ps3 super slim which is jailbreak and preloaded so many games in internal HDD and recently it appears on screen that it cannot be loaded system file or corrupt and which option will help me to get out with out loosing game data
I read all 369 comments and some said it was in "preparing...please wait" for 53 hours to 8/9 days, others say to be patient, but never give specifics. I have tried 2 Restore Default Settings - it freezes at "restoring default settings do not turn off system" 3 Restore File System - it freezes at "preparing, please wait" 4 Rebuild Database - it also freezes at "preparing, please wait." 6 System Update - it freezes when I press x So I am left with deleting all of my PS1 and 3 data for Option 5 "Restore PS3 System". I literally worked my ass off to unlock Dr B and everyone in Tekken 3. DAMMIT!!
And I even tried downloading the 4.88 file from the site, which didn't download, so I went to a secondary site and downloaded it as USB/PS3/UPDATE.PUP And...SONOFABITCH!!! They actually misspelled it. It should have been labeled as "PS3UPDAT.PUP". It's missing the "E"!!! I had to rename it because the secondary file had a 488 on it. Damn...I literally just destroyed my PlayStation because some asshole included the typo. And this is literally after I just fixed my PS4 using the USB file known as "PS4UPDATE.PUP" I honestly don't think it would have mattered though. Fix & Replace on the site has a delay message and redirects you to the 488 Update and the PS3 store went down I believe. Good luck to whoever is out there.

N when I'm walkin n fart on something it doesn't act right n Butters laughs all late, or when I shoot my bow to break stuff I have to donit 5 or six times before it pops up n shoots the arrow, sometimes it even happens when in battle... any suggestions?

I was just hesitant to give it a full reboot/wipe since I had RDR Legend Level 5 rank 50 and all that saved and didn't want to lose it. But when I heard R* changed servers and everyone was wiped I was ok with that so I rebooted. worked a charm

If I remember correctly, I rebooted it again into safe mode, then tried option 3 (where I wiped everything out)then tried again. It eventually did rebuild the system files but it still wont read discs :)

My system took 5 hours before it even got started and after that didn't take long to finish the process.
