@@superjlk_9538 google search printed sheets of Pokémon cards there should be a machamp one or others; what this means is that they are the real cards but uncut, so this guys dad either had the tools himself or found someone (most likely this) to cut all of the cards for him. Assuming his dad or someone he knew also worked in the company that does the printing, but basically look at the stacks and how even the holos are compared to everything else that’s what gives it away the most

The problem is with that set of Pokemon cards is that kids all over the world collected them and it's unlikely you would throw something like that away. So the only thing that will boost the value of the base set is if most of these kids damaged their cards leaving only a few thousand in mint to near mint condition.
Those hollows are at the very least PSA 7. Guy definitely has a couple 8's and possibly a few 9's. These hardcore collectors don't give enough respect to just how durable the cards are, let alone make mention of how well the edges, surface, and centering was on a large majority of this guy's cards. I'm sure they're just worried of the market crashing but that doesn't change the reality of the situation. This is just one person btw. There are for sure many more people just now hearing that their old Pokémon card collection is worth a good amount of money as of right now. I just found out that base set Charizard's have jumped in price since I lasted checked ebay sales 2 or so years ago. I've recently realized I don't just have regular base set holo starters from the 1999 base set. Instead, I now realize that they're all in fact shadow-less. My friend growing up had a dad who worked for tops and he would get tons and tons of free football and baseball cards and sometimes even the pages without the cards even being cut out . There’s no way this guys parents dropped 13k on boxes back then and it explains why he has so many specific cards.

Base set unlimited was overprinted into oblivion, when the boxes spiked it was obvious there would be a correction. Compare it to ex era, those have actual scarcity.
There is no way that: 1) This was a kid's collection 2) The person who owned it just forgot about it Even if it was a kid with rich parents he wouldn't have collected this many and keep them in such good condition. It probably was an older guy with a lot of cash that loved collecting, who just loved pokemon to much. Other then that forgetting about something like this when it was such a huge collection that would require a lot of time to acquire is implausible. Something bad must have happened to him down the road and there u have it. Free cards.

Dude around 15 years ago local flee markets where FLOODED by these folders filled with holo's. Most kids moved out to college etc.... My parents gave away all my pokemon and magic cards because they figured it was for little kids.

And like miz said, there are only so many psa 10 charizards in the world, I believe there are around 120 in the world, and would be impossible if this guy has 111 of them. MAYBE just a couple of them 1-3 are indeed PSA 10s, but PSA 9 at best. But yeah, even if those few couple were 10s, they could have just been compromised due to being stacked and all cards rubbing against each other like that lol. But still, even if they were PSA 9 or even PSA 8, this dude is sitting on a goldmine with all those thousands of holo cards.
