Hi there...Im writing from Portugal, congratulations on your channel, i love UA. I have a question if you can answer me or help. I saw a video about adding 8 adat inputs to the Twin, so my problem is that i have my Apollo quad firewire connected and im using a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 usb as Adat extra inputs...They are connected Adat in to out and Out to in on my Apollo quad Firewire. Its working fine but my question is about the clock. When i set the Ua Apollo Quad as master i can ear pops and digital picks sometimes... and when i set the focusrite as master and Ua Apollo as Adat sync Slave is working very fine, no more clicks or digital annoying sounds... So its the focusrite scarlet 18I20 better clock then UA Apollo Quad firewire? Or there is a trick to do to prevent this and use my Apollo as a Master clock?Thank you
Hi Lucas, clocking often requires experimentation to find the right combo. Seems you've found the right combo for your situation. Quality of clock has nothing to do with experiencing clicks and pops. The differences in clocks are far more subtle than that. Hope this helps.
I use an apollo twin thunderbolt on Win10 with a Z170X UD5 TH mobo with a startech adpater. Everything works great in Reaper. No crashes. Nice But a Big Commitment / Money investment to only be Abel to use UAD/your Plugins With the system Waves Digigrid is Letting Third Party Plugin Companies with there interfaces so you Can Use Plugins From Other Vendors and Still Take advantage of DSP Power
It's not really the same. Waves is basically playing catch-up to UAD in this area. Focusrite did a thing on their website that explained something that USB isn't better for audio then usb 2 or something like that i can't remember exactly what they wrote.. EDIT: Found it. I Quote! "Firstly, although USB 3.0 offers greater bandwidth than USB 2.0, it will deliver no round trip latency benefits over USB 2.0. This is due to the architecture of the host computer driver stack and its handling of USB audio (isochronous) data. A good analogy is to think of it as a drainpipe and a tennis ball. The tennis ball is the data and the width of the pipe signifies available bandwidth. With the drainpipe set at the same gradient, letting go of the ball at the top of the drainpipe will see it arrive at the bottom in a given amount of time. That's your latency, the time it takes to go from end to end. USB 3.0 offers a much wider pipe, which in terms of the analogy, means that it could allow a greater number tennis balls (more data) to travel down the pipe, but the balls would not travel down the pipe any faster. This is the same when comparing USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 in terms of the way they transfer audio data. "

Probably because fab was working with 14 dsp chips for live recording vs the 4 in the quad you’re most likely using . Need a lot of horse power to run that many studers, especially in 96. I’m surprised you didn’t just get uad errors.

The singer Is Called DEDE BIRD and the song name is "Sun kissed lover"
Can’t seem to find her ANYWHERE. How can I get a hold of her music??
Nice acting.
UA: cause everybody spend $900 on a interface just to use it as a monitor control/talkback
I was thinking the same thing, but then Fab stated that each UA unit is added to the total sum.
Delay, Compression, Back Rub...
oh cool more work and renaming everything again that would be great if the business had enough economy to have an assistant . Because i really really really ! love labeling for hours and hours everytime ...the more you can change the more time the system forces you to waste and the less money you have the possibility of making..a track sheet would be great one document on one page i can open that has all notes instead of thirty hidden micro predefined options hiding everywhere. I would like to know how to work it not how good it is Ive ALREADY BOUGHT it. and I dont need to hear anything recorded on any of these videos ever how does the routing work not how great is it
Backrub!

"ssssss - ccccccccc" a lot of sibilants in recording! They just clog the top of your voice and can be heard in the mix is nasty!
'no latency'
uad plugins have more latency than any other plugin i use, from my experience
i use an apollo 16 mkii over thunderbolt 2 at 96khz, running in console
any configuration i try is unusable in the real world
Hi Sam, could you submit your issues with Customer Support? We'd like to learn more about what you're experiencing and see what we can do to help. Thanks!
sure, can you please help me with some information for this thread: tracking 6 channels with a Studer A800 on each channel in console (UAD rec) @ 96khz will induce how many milliseconds of latency? I think then you'll see my problem
Probably because fab was working with 14 dsp chips for live recording vs the 4 in the quad you’re most likely using . Need a lot of horse power to run that many studers, especially in 96. I’m surprised you didn’t just get uad errors.
sam steeno you dumb. Get DSP.
this video has zero technical details its an infospam
Fab is so full of himself
what are you using to link to the control rooms????
