Thanks so much for this video. I just upgraded from the 9 to the 23 so there’s a lot for me to catch up on!
this is S23 ultra, so not all functions is included in S23
They are minus the 200mp mode
This has been the best and most informative video on the s23 ultra camera. Thank you!! You've gained a new loyal subscriber!
Man thanks! I had noooo clue what settings to adjust as I'm a noob to taking good photos/vids. Appreciate the help!
Thanks--really useful tips. I went to the Galaxy Store and downloaded the Camera Assistant. Glad to have it.
Good video, but wanted to call out that the "Quick tap shutter" in camera assistant actually affects the speed the button press for taking a picture so that the camera takes an instantaneous pic instead of the slight delay before taking a photo.
Very informative and understandable..Kept my attention the entire video..(unlike most other youtubers)..Thanks alot fam 👌🏾
THANK YOU !!! Just purchased the G S 23+ so this saves me a lot of trial and error!!!
With the auto tracking on for photos, you can still press and hold it, then the brightness pops up to adjust ;) Great video btw
Great video just to let you know you can have auto tracking on and exposure adjustment tap for auto tracking and long press for exposure 👍
Awesome info brother. Thank you so much!
Great tutorial! Thanks!
Another well detailed explanation of camera operation of S23 Ultra
Great video, very informative, very helpful
Excellent, thank you 😊 👍
Great video! I have subscribed as a result! Catch up soon!
Thank you , Appricate the tricks of the trade
Thanks for this video. How can we shoot slow mo videos with 120 frames?
Very informative video, just got the s23 and hoping these settings can help me get better photos... Theyre pretty mediocre right now 😅
Amazing Video! ❤❤❤
Ive got a few summer concerts coming up do you think this camera will be a good option when using it to take concert shots ? Thankyou.
Hi, excellent and helpful video. Could you please tell me how to disable photo preview in the gallery app.
I did it on my S21 ultra and can't remember how now.
I googled with no success.
Cheers
Masterpiece.
Great video
New subscriber here, covered everything I needed to know plus some. Thank you.
Thank you for watching
great video
I want to be able to stop the "refining" image processing(turning it on or off in the settings) In every mode it uses it. When after you take a shot then view the image you can see it processing. IMO that processing over boosts the shadows way to much!!!. The only mode it DOES NOT do it is in PRO mode!. In PRO mode what you see on the screen while taking an image, is what you get(NO processing when you view the image). Oh and i would also like to have the 200mb [3:4] added to PRO mode as well, for the reasons mentioned!!
Omg yes. That refining thing sucks. It yellows all my photos
From that sentence at the end, you think the processing is the problematic thing ? You don't know phones enough to make those guesses. You definitely will be able to when you get a LOT of useless phone info. Here is why you can't do 200MP photos in Pro mode: Pro mode has an option called RAW+JPEG. Slight issue. The RAW used here is Quad Bayer RAW which is just unachievable with full res. What happens is the phone is pixel binning, as usual, but what happens is QB RAW will take the data of a minimum of 4 (Quad) pixels that will be binned down into 1. Issue. At 200MP there is no possibility for binning without lowering the resolution. Also Samsung won't bother adding the code to make 200MP available if only JPEG is selected so they just said RAW won't work in that res why bother making it available for JPEG? Why bother when 50MP is already infinitely enough?
Hello TechGuy maybe you could answer me this question:
the video compression on S23 Ultra is HEVC, all the way from 30HD to 30 8K. Is this the problem I have with You Tube and Whats app, this format is not compatible? Everything looks jittery, to not to say unusable!
Thanks, Yorg
For capture speed is not necessary to put on balanced . You can activate burst shots and that's all.
You can still lower how bright the photo is with auto focus mode by holding instead of tapping.
Hi,am currently using samsung galaxy S23 series, camera assistant option is not available in my phone ,I don't know what to do right now
Hi dear S23 ultra blogger, I was take this mob 2 months back and trying to adjust camera settings for photos or videos but still I am not getting any clarity expect moon capture..so please mention me and reply about this. I m not getting good clarity in evening and night times and in day time photos was too dim in colour..
Please let me know about this
Compliqué !
Yeah I've got a Galaxy s23 + ultra and One UI version 5.1, which I beleive was released Feb 2023....but no Camera Assistant. It's late March so I can only guess Samsung are staggering the release of such features based on region ?
I think Quick Tap Shutter does something different than making anywhere on the screen a shutter button
How do I text to quit looking reversed in video. I've tried change selfies as previewed setting.
ZOOM IN mike.. if you narrate your videos live.. best to turn this function of..
I recommend everyone to record 8k 30. This serie S23 is the first year when this mode looks great. It is VERY easy to convert 8k 30 to 8k 60 in Topaz Video Ai, but you need GeForce card. The convertion to 60 fps or even 90 fps gives spectacular results. 8k 60 is amazing.
Thx for the info mate😊
I make hour long and longer videos. If I video in 8 k, it can take longer than a day to upload them.
Or 6:52 you can use the stylist to take the picture or record video
Does this still apply in 2024? I can't even see the "Good Lock" app on the Galaxy Store (on the S23)!
If recording a gig I definitely would not have Zoom-in mic selected, it almost ruined the sound when zooming in and out.
Would like to see a video for the S23 like it says, not the Ultra
Make sure you get the update on Camera Assistant or some of the items will be missing
I find your video difficult...I do walking around outside videos on my Samsung galaxy s23 what settings are best.. hope you can help me
I've noticed that my camera flash is dimmer than my regular flashlight and it's killing me. I can't seem to increase my camera flash brightness anywhere. 😪
i want to shoot slow motion videos but the quality is so bad. on my 14 pro it looks so much better. maybe its my settings? can someone help?
If I double tap the on/off button like you said, it doesn't turn the camera on, like you said.
when should i use Full screen at picture and video? i like a lot full.
Me too Arthur. I like full screen content myself. Full screen pictures will be cropped but the end result can be very eye catching, especially in ultra wide mode. In video I find it best to record in high resolution and 60fps at 16:9 ratio and then crop in to full screen on my video player. With the quality of video on my S23 Ultra even this cropped full screen video looks fantastic and immersing. Arthur you really can take pictures and videos as you want and choose. We really are lucky to have such fantastic flexible devices with so many options onboard to choose from.
When using expert raw, I use the 50mp option. When I take the photo it looks good, but as soon as I export the raw photo to lightroom, it comes out really dark. The fix is to bump up exposure all the way to 5 in lightroom. Why is this?
change the color profile to Adobe color, that should help
@@bharathnb08it still comes out dark. I have to manually toggle exposure to 4+
I don't get why you leave HDR10+ OFF 'coz videos with ON look fantastic compared to OFF setting! Especially in low light condition.
If someone wants to take a video during a concert, front row, with those awful strong bass sounds, that normally end up giving a frying noise to the recordings, ruining and make the song unlistenable, which mic and settings we should use, in order to not hear them? Thank you!
in pro video mode you can adjust the mic levels to help a bit...otherwise use an external recording device and add the audio to video in post.
@@user-lx7os1fc9c Not really, but I'm confident your words will definitely help somebody else one day. Good luck!
@@showmeyourkitties-starring198 Thank you so much, I'll definitely try to adjust the mic levels next time!
So far I only watched 1 and a half minutes of the video and there's already two things I don't have on my camera that you have. I have the S23 Ultra. Maybe it's defective.
I don't know a lot about cameras, so this might sound stupid, but is the 200mp camera really just for outdoor photos or landscapes? I ask because the pictures I've taken testing it out around my house have looked much worse than the 50mp and 12mp. They are blurry/fuzzy in comparison.
Depends on the lighting I have a 23 ultra and I can agree it can be a tad bit fuzzy in low light
You need good lighting to get quality results with the 200Mp mode. By good I mean bright outdoor light. Sunshine is a bonus but it isn't essential. Indoor shots do indeed look poor as this is not what 200Mp mode is for.
@@archieakira4237 Thank you.
@@neilmcguinness4422 Thank you.
@@ScentJunkie03 You are very welcome. 👍
Video stabilization makes the video more shaky and it crops in
One zero make a difference i will take you through when i get some free time
I just ordered a 23 ultra. Please don't tell me I have to hop around on one foot and spin with a grin to take a photo.
Your video makes my wish I got the s23 ultra? But I'll upgrade in 2025 -- s25 ultra. You know.
Realistically speaking you would use these "Ultra" feature once a year.
I wish there was a way to set main camera to 8k 30 fps, but see other 0,6 3x ans 10x too, but when touched it would be max that is available there like 4k 60 fps.. Right now seems to be no way to record 8k and quickly switch to other cameras without changing menu settings at the top. This really sucks and is wrong UI design by Samnung. Just record at 4k60 everywhere where 8k is not possible...
8k is 33mpx video that's why only the main sensor is shown the others are not high enough.
One Correction: Quick tap shutter doesn't take photos when you tap anywhere on screen
What button are you double tapping. I'm lost
I might be showing my high level of n00b here, but I would love it if someone could help. I'm new to Androids, and just got an S23U a week ago. Today I went to an event for a family member in a fairly well-lit indoor setting. I tried taking photos (200MP, using 4x zoom and 6x zoom) of a family member that was fairly far away at around 50 feet or so. All of the photos I snapped of her were atrocious. Was this a me issue or a camera issue? If so, what did I do wrong and what do I do to make sure at future events my photos don't come out looking this awful?
My video calling doesn't work? Only Google and I hate it!!! I have gone into settings there's not even video calling option to click there
How come I dont have a camera assistant on my settings?
You have to download it
Uhd and 4k is same?
Exactly the same
For my country Good Lock isnt supported 😂
s23 ???
This is an 23 ultra
Wrong title... You are working with s23 ultra not s23
Its not s23 its ultra
Improve your viewers pleasure when capturing video: Turn the camera horizontal. Notice, every TV screen, monitor screen, movie screen, computer screen, they are all horizontal. Capturing video vertically, a.k.a. portrait mode, cuts off the left and right one-third of the screen, remaining is dead center of the screen a stick video. We observer out world considerably more horizontally than vertically. Video's captured in portrait mode makes the viewer think they are looking through a keyhole, or they are wearing horse blinders; again that is not how we see our environment. If you were watching a movie and the wide screen had a narrow video dead center on the screen with the left and right cut off you would not enjoy the video. Same with your viewers, they do not like it. Using a real camera more than 99.99% are horizontally orientated be it video or stills. Videos captured in portrait mode produce stick vides which become spatially disorienting for your viewers.
So so true.
Lying title. In the description of the settings for S23, author has S23 Ultra in his hand, which has a slightly different menu layout and possibilities 👎
For a guy that is giving camera instructions I can't believe you can't hold the camera still. You have the shakes and should have used a tripod. I am getting seasick. Bye.
so many wrong information...i just stoped watching man, pls review what you said and many parameters are explained wrong
I noticed the same thing, but I also learned some good new things too.
Thumbs down. You should definitely test features first before making suggestions.
Samsung camera app is crap. Install Gcam for better image quality.
My S23+ is trash from the iphone 13 max
like all cell phones, the cameras use an 1/8th inch square sensor chip, incapable of doing anything other that a poor imitation of a real camera. Simply, phone makers use software to emulate a real camera, and the more software used, the poorer the image in reality, since it slows the process and cannot under any circumstances make up for the f2 +- aperture and lack of ability to change focal length and multiple lenses available on real cameras. Makers simply play on the lack of technical savvy of the consumer...which you help along with these videos.
Its not that bad as long you don't zoom in photo. I prefer dslr bigger sensor apsc size or full frame
