- Full English dubbed version of Wei's kingdom CG cutscenes.
Thanks to KOEI TECMO for providing lip synced translations without sacrificing too much on accuracy.
In comparison to my translation efforts (which were essentially direct translations without re-arranging the wording too much), these were done very professionally as you'd expect from a company. So if you weren't able to understand bits of speech earlier, you should clearly be able to do so now.

God what a beautiful ending. Wei is my favorite of the three kingdoms.
I really like how each faction has their own happy ending. Koei did an excellent job showing the good side of every kingdom.
Real Life Cao Cao wasn't a bad guy, actually there's no bad guy at all

Looks like Dian Wei finally gets to do some farming with Xu Chu. There was a mention of that in DW7.
Better story sure, but the hypothetical path of Wei... Is just glorious. I love Cao Cao and his What If Ending. It symbolized hope and driving toward a stronger and better future for humanity. It was well done
Whether you hate Shu or Wu. You couldn’t possibly hate Wei. Such a heroic kingdom.
That first cutscene is so powerful. In an age of chaos and everlasting dynasties, Cao Cao truly wanted to put an end to it all and bring peace and order to China. I truly believe he would have fulfilled his goal, had he not lost, at the battle of Chi Bi. I admit though, I love the drama between Shu and Wu during Fan Castle and Jin is just so awesome. DW for life.
I love that they didn't showcase Cao Cao as the villain in this game. He was the greatest man of the time, but thanks to the ROTK novel, everyone sees him as the butt of Liu Bei's benevolence. Gawd how I hate benevolence.

Okay that's it...I am going to go buy this game right now..walmart here I come..
-Everyone has R1 musou and air musou
-Everyone has their own EX weapon, no shared ones
-New rage meter, basically Musou Rage from DW5, and while in rage mode your musou acts like in DW5 too
-Free mode is back
-Ambition Mode, basically DW7:XL's Legend Mode
-New weapon system and return of 5th weapons
-Weapon Affinity (basically rock, paper, scissors style mechanic which gives you either an advantage or disadvantage over officers)
-Character abilities similar to Warriors Orochi
Oh, and different paths for Story Mode (historical and hypothetical).

The Nomad bends one knee to the Emperor, and she gives her respects to him. "I await your word, Your Divine Highness."
Emperor Xian: "I have need of your opinion, sage." He takes a drink from his wine goblet. "Of the one in my service, Cao Cao. Will he be a danger to my position, and can he be trusted?"
The Nomad pauses for a moment, then speaks. "If you will allow me to summon the spirits, then I will ask them of this man, Cao Cao."
The Emperor merely nods.
The Nomad stands up, and makes a show of lights and spirits to show the Emperor. In reality, she does not need such things to speak with her agents around the courts of the Han Empire. After a while of this facade, she makes a show of fatigue, then drops to one knee. "The spirits tell me that this man, Cao Cao, is one that you must be wary of, for he is one filled with ambition. However, he possesses great ability. Perhaps one that can cleanse this land if given the aid of an impressive figure."
Emperor Xian: "Such as myself, sage?"
The Nomad: "I would think only the heavens would make greater candidates, Your Divine Highness."
Emperor Xian nods. "Then I no longer have need of you, sage. You may leave."
The Nomad: "You humble me, Your Highness. May we meet again." She gets up, bows to him, and walks off.

The Nomad blinks twice and places a piece on the board. "We can't win all of the battles, Brother. Heavens know that you've won at least two games out of...well, a lot."
Cao Cao places a piece on the board. "Three games. I still don't know how you do it."
The Nomad laughs lightly. "A lot and lot of practice. But my point is that even the mightiest of giants will fall over one time or later. It's all a matter of how he picks himself up and continues stomping over the countryside." She places a piece on the board. "Also, I'm sure you were doing what you thought was best. At least you didn't hit me like some of the eunuchs." She shudders and mutters something about filthy bastards.
Cao Cao places a piece on the board. "I don't deserve your kindness, Suan."
The Nomad: "Brother, you're the one whose united so many valorous souls to fight for you. You deserve much more than you think."

Historically Cao Cao was more of a socialist.
When they announce DW8:Empires, i hope it gets a western release.
DW8: Empires has been announced, the Japanese release is on September 25th.
We can expect an English localization sometime after the PS4 localization of DW8: XL Complete comes out

Ive been a DW fan since dw2 for the ps2 release. And out of all of them none sit higher than DW7/XL for me. 7 (nor any) was not meant to be 100% on par with Romance but its *miles* better than this convoluted mess of a story.

Feel sorry for Xu Shu :( He was forced to serve Cao Cao, although he wanted to be a strategist of Liu Bei's forces
Well, in terms of the Hypothetical Path, it's implied that he is working with Cao Cao of his own accord. Xu Shu there wants to prove himself better than Zhuge Liang, it was something to do with seeing Guo Jia.

historical based on history, this game probably not completely accurate compared to the novel of three kingdoms but you get the gist of it.
Hypothetical is a IF scenerio. e.g. what if you did this method instead or that etc

No offense, but please don't compare romance of the three kingdoms with actual history. The novel is absolutely biased towards Shu that is sickening.
Even the game is more accurate to the history than the novel.

What's the difference between historical and hypothetical?
redhare57 historical is what actually happened during history. Hypothetical is "what if" this happened during this fight. What if someone important survived.
Example being like in DW4 where everyone is alive. But basically new stages and stories.
