I know I am super late with this but if you overapply icy hot, tiger balm, or rub A535 you can neutralize the chemical burn that is what hurts by dabbing the area with olive oil.
What Geoff said about having injections in the roof of the mouth is so real. I unexpectedly had a wisdom tooth out in March, and in the UK they don't typically knock you out or give you gas for it, and I swear to God it was probably the worst thing I've ever felt.
I always found it strange that they just knock you out in the US for dental stuff, it kinda makes sense. Local anesthesia for wisdom teeth extraction is how I had it done as well but honestly it wasn't bad. I couldn't tell when they finished
@@francisco.segura I think I'd be more inclined to ask to be knocked out if I had to have 4 out at once, and having one out sucked hard, but I'd been in pain for 9 days (somehow my bottom gum has separated from the tooth at the very back and the top wisdom tooth was irritating the flap of gum. The flap is now a permanent fixture but it's not painful now), and I just needed relief. The dentist wanted to make an appointment to pull it and I remember saying just to get it out right there lmao
@@emeryking1739 lol I get it, I got two taken out at a time, they added local anesthesia and I remember I didn't feel the bottom extraction at all but I definitely felt the top. For me they had to cut open my gums and pull the tooth, I think they broke it in pieces to extract it lmao. The second day is honestly the worst
