We have an equivalent of that in the US and Canada. The US Southern 4501 for a long time in the preservation era was painted in the railway’s crescent livery used on passenger locomotives despite being a freight locomotive that was always black in her revenue service. The other is 385 which was recently repainted green in 2021 and wore that color from for some time on the MCRR. Canadian Pacific 2317 briefly wore the CP’s gray-blue and Tuscan red livery that it also never wore in revenue service; and did so from 1978-1984. The same was also true of CP locomotives 1246 and 1293 in a similar timeframe
