- Paul Malin is the voice of MXGP. We managed to get in a quick bench racing session while at the Trentino round of the World Championship. It is one of the most exciting seasons of MXGP in recent memory and the addition of the points for Qualifying has added a whole new dimension to the battle for the world title.
Paul also has a heck of a story in his own life, but that will have to wait for a full episode of the show next time!

I think Tom Hunter and joe are going to rock outdoors be cool to see Hayden bring some speed and join them
Levi gonna step up too
rj hampshire has the speed too but he needs to be more consistent if he wants to be a contender for outdoors
@@didickcheeseburger couldn’t agree more I love rj Florida boyz💪
You know how nice it is to see somebody who's not a hater
@@didickcheeseburger finally got to catch up on fox 1 rj was so solid first moto three downs in the second moto isn’t going to win this championship I hope he can get some clean starts and stay upright should be a good contender for the title this year 🙏
Hey Jace, you spelt Champ wrong in the thumbnail :)
And you spelt jase wrong too. I guess we all make misteaks haha
Mistakes bro ; )
@@shawntblin5423 it’s ;)
I honestly just read over it and wouldn’t have ever noticed it if I hadn’t read the comments
no chmap is australian for champ
I definitely see vialle up there battling for wins and being in the championship fight. That being said right now I see hunter as just being straight up faster and at least in sx has shown very very good consistency.
Dont discredit shimoda and his 2nd place effort last year. He can hang too
I expect Tom do good, I don’t think it’s going to be a walk in the park though. Hunter’s obviously going to be great as well. But I think everyone is sleeping on Justin Cooper this year. He was great in 2021 against Jett and only just lost the title, and he’s been doing fuck all this year while everyone else is racing SX. He’s going to be the most prepared and ready for MX, all the extra time testing and training gives him a huge advantage in my opinion.
But will he have the race intensity there🤷🏼♂️might take him couple rounds just to get the intensity back
@@RBS176 that’s true! But I’m thinking being on Star Yamaha he’d have the most teammates to train with which would help build intensity and recreate race scenarios. Surely better than Hunter who as far as I know trains alone.
I think cooper will win the championship
shit i forgot about justin cooper lol. for sure he should be in the title fight. i imagine hes been training for outdoors a lot during the sx season so he should be ready this year
cooper is rider 450s
Been thinking this since he come into supercross, has decent starts and been doing good considering its his first year ever doing sx, he will be a problem! Hopefully hunter can sneak one in and move up to 450 before he gets too comfortable 😂
Hunter on 250 right?
Correct, he's riding 250s
Im not sure if tom vialle will be able to put it all together and win it all in his first season in the us. Our tracks break down a lot different than european tracks, our riding style is different, and our tracks get a lot dryer and harder than european tracks. I think he can contend for wins, but it will be a process to adapt just like cairoli couldnt quite put it together that quick (but to be fair it is the tail end of his career, however dungey did a lot better after a 5 year gap) gonna be a fun 250 class this year, no longer the jett class and its all up for grabs
cairoli was retired and didn’t even really go out to win or get top 3s, he was jus out there to be out there. and at 37 years old ? he would’ve did way better in his prime js, but tom is young and a 2 time mx2 champion, i foresee a couple wins this outdoor season.
@@hinksGz i addressed everything you said and gave cairoli credit for being the end of his career, yes i believe vialle could get some wins but i dont see him winning the championship this year, but i would most certainly put him up there next year depending on how well it goes this year for sure, but i think adapting to an american riding style and track breakdown will take some seat time when the gates drop
Deegan will get podiums in outdoor!
Na
How? There's 6 or 7 guys that are faster than him.
Yes why not
Excuse me, but Deegan ran the fastest lap at Nashville faster than Tomac on a 450. Outdoors is his domain. We'll see.
@Slpn9t1 yes definitely. Let's hope it's a crazy battle for positions . So we all win 🏆
i dont see why tom vialle wouldnt be considered a favorite for outdoors. hes got 2 mx2 championships in 3 yrs so maybe hes not up there for sx yet because its a discipline hes not too familiar with but outdoors is right up his alley. hunter was a shoo-in for sx but hes got his work cut out for him outdoors this year. i expect jeremy martin to be a threat too if he can stay healthy. and based on last year jo shimoda. it should be a good year for 250 outdoors
If you look at the statistics mxgp transfers normally don't do good their first year second years where their speed goes crazy these track breakdown differently than Europe
If he wins 1 moto, I’ll be surprised.
Deegan will be in contention. He's fast and doesn't fade or get arm pump...Hangtown moto #1 win with ease!!
He's going to be running outside the top 5 all season and you fanboys are gonna have to dream up new excuses.
Deegan be doing well to get in top 7
Deegan hasnt even won yet, he hasnt shown pure speed yet, he's been consistent tho. People love over hyping him and IDK why🤷♂
@@seanhaberman4619 that's a bad take considering he's trained for Motocross his entire life and for Supercross he's only been outside the top five three times
@@seanhaberman4619 starting from Houston he placed 4th, 4th, 8th, 3rd, 7th, 3rd, 3rd, 6th, 4th. You sound like a hater based off of the current statistics.
The yanks love riding the same tracks every year. Euros always struggle the first year
The euros ride the same tracks every year😂 your point?
@Nathan Campbell ahhhh rite thats it then mate
@kylereece575 wtf are you on about😭 You said "yanks ride the same tracks every year" as if the euros don't💀😂 so what's your point?
"Ahhh rite that's it then mate" do you mind making sense of that? Lol
@Nathan Campbell yes Nathan if they both ride the same tracks like you say then .
I back down
I apologise for being in the wrong .
Erm yer 🫠
Tom Vialle… no chance… big tracks, higher speed and that KTM 250 never has it against the star 250 or HRC 250…
I will bet you right now Deegan will beat Viable on a regular basis. This is USA soil not European soil. Your dead wrong fellas.
We will see in outdoors, vialle will blow the back doors off everyone on a 250f even most privateers on a 450. Your forgetting USA soil is nice and grippy, super smooth and hard packed. Come to Europe and do one ride because you wouldn’t do a 20 minute moto
All hes gona do is loose
The yanks are reaching with this one 😂
Deegan is going to be dreaming of top 5s. Kid doesn't have near the speed of any of the top guys. He's on the best bike and still gets blown away every weekend. There's at least 7 guys in the 250 class that are going to be 2-4 seconds faster a lap than Deegan at every race. It's gonna be great to watch you fanboys struggle to make excuses all summer.
The reason why Deegan is beating Vialle right now (and other rookies) is because HE HAD A SUPERCROSS TRACK IN HIS BACKYARD SINCE HE WAS ON A 65, not many people have that luxury. Vialle is a 2x time world champion, he will be ahead of him outdooors
Vialle will wax the entire 250 field outdoors. catch you at the end of the season when hes the champ ✌️
Or his 3rd in points behind hunter or cooper.
i expect vialle will be a top contender for the title but i think it should be a tight fight. justin cooper, hunter lawrence, jo shimoda killed it last year, jeremy martin [if he can stay healthy], and i wouldnt count out some other fast outdoor guys that could have a breakout season like rj hampshire or levi kitchen. theres gonna be a lot of outdoors talent at 250 this year
Did you watch the race
@@GARBO96 Yup first race on a tracks hes had little no no experience on, held off the “title favourite” for 5 laps to get his first moto podium. ran pace with deegan whos rode that track his entire life, pretty good wouldn’t you agree?
@@RogerT-kt3zd no. he's a two-time world champion and he's getting beat by a 17 old. It was deegan's first season ever riding Supercross and he beat him in that as well.
Im surprised if a former world 250 champ doesnt win at least a moto there first year. If he runs top 4 on a weekly basis and wins a moto or 2 this year. I think he will be a contender for a championship next year.
"BUT I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND WHY THEY BRING A WORLD CHAMP OVER AND START THEM IN THE SUPERCROSS SERIES" wait till the outdoors there first year. ggeeeezzzz.. vialle will be coming into the nationals with how many nagging injuries from this supercross season...
