You guys notice in this episode that Bakugo, Ida, Ashido, Mineta, and Sero aren't wearing their masks/helmets when Class A was trying to get Deku back to U.A. Even Koda and Kirishima took their headgear off mid-battle.
*I remember promising myself that I wouldn't cry going into this and then breaking that promise by the end. This was a lot if I'm being honest. 😅*

First off, it's my first time watching your channel, and you are a delight! You're adorable, I LOVE your Rimiru plushie, and your reaction was exactly what I was hoping for, for someone watching the English dub of MHA.
I started out watching the dub, then switched to Japanese with subtitles. I like both versions, and I read the manga. (No spoilers from me, I promise!)
I have to say, for this episode, the way the English cast and the ADR/script writing interpreted the dialogue was incredible! This is the BEST I've heard (so far) from ALL of the English VA cast. They broke my heart in the best way possible. I teared up when Deku said that if he came back to UA "It would be like I K---- you myself!" 💔😭 The way they interpreted the sheer terror he was feeling on his behalf! I wanted to grab onto him so badly! Like "No no no!! Get that AFO bastard out of your head! Go back to your family and friends already!"
And Bakugo's apology was everything I was hoping for from his voice actor, Clifford Chapin. Just absolutely heartfelt and spot-on for the moment.
I'm also looking forward to next week's dub episode. I'm curious as to how they'll handle the dialogue there, as well. They'd better do something about the selfish crowds or I'll kick them out myself. Like, how dare they?!

First off, thank you so much for your sweet comment, you’re a lovely person 💝 and second, I 100% agree with you about the subbed cast in this episode, I feel the English cast never disappoints for me. In this episode the cast has higher quality voice acting and script writing than ever before, super duper impressive 🥰
I’m not sure if you caught this or not, but Bakugo apologized for everything. He said right after saying Izuku’s name “I’m sorry for everything”. It’s interesting seeing everyone’s reactions to this part. With sub reactors, most payed attention to the words “I’m sorry” and often missed him saying Izuku’s name. I think it’s because the Japanese voice actor says his name a little fast. And now I’m finding with dub reactors that they’re paying more attention to his name rather than the “I’m sorry” part. Just wanted to make that clear just in case if you missed it.
Just a little opinion time now. I love both the sub and dub. I tend to like the sub more, but with the one line where Bakugo says Izuku’s name, I like the dub version more. Personally I think it matches the style of the manga more. In the manga, Izuku’s name is the only text in one of the speech bubbles. It has almost an entire page to itself so it stands out. I like that the English dub voice actor put a tiny pause right before saying his name. It gave me the same sort of feeling I had when reading it.
I love this interesting observation you’ve brought up about the subbed and dubbed versions of the show. I’ll have to go back and watched the subbed after finishing the dubbed.
You’re right, I paid more attention to the fact Bakugo said Izuku’s name than him saying sorry, but I am happy that he apologised for what he had done and trying to be a better person, I love some good character building.
So Deku is willing to rely on his friends, but I'm not sure they actually got to the root of the problem here. His problem wasn't just trying to go it alone, it was also his single-minded obsession with saving people at the expense of himself. I feel that hasn't been properly addressed. The boy has self-esteem issues.
