    Describe Oleksandr Usyk in ONE word ☝

  • @TrueRed1983
    @TrueRed1983 2 дні тому +48

    Please, no mention of robberies, or close fights, 116-112 was fine. In fact, the only robbery was the SD in the first fight, should be two clean UD wins to Usyk. I’ve had it about 16-8 Usyk, with a knockdown in there, over the 24 rounds, and I think that is a very fair reflection of who & where both fighters are. Usyk is literally twice as good in every department. Fury talks the walk, Usyk walks the walk. One masquerades as a master boxer, the other is a master boxer.

      Well said. He was robbed of a KO in the first fight too.

    I actually don’t blame Fury for thinking he won when he’s got Frank in one ear and Spencer in the other. Those two ARE deluded and are making it harder for Fury to accept the loss.

    Andy Clarke is so bloody good at breaking down fights. Himself and matt Christie are brilliant journalists (someone like me who hasn’t boxed… not at any good level anyway) just genuine, never no bias and just a big fan of boxing. Merry Christmas everyone

      @jayg7273 День тому +1

      I'd agree but he got this one badly wrong. In the review show he accused people of creating a narrative for the first fight and then made his own narrative that was completely wrong. Andy and many others in the media lied to Boxing fans in the build up to the fight and said stuff they knew wasn't true.

      Puts the talksport boys to shame. Andy takes his times, chooses his words and doesn't compromise himself for the sake of being entertaining. Wish there were a few more like him.

    Merry Christmas gentlemen. Thanks for the epic pods you’ve provided this year.
    I had Usyk by 4 Rds. Maybe you could make an argument a round closer. But the right man definitely won. I think Mann people have dismissed that clean body work from Usyk.
    I think the conversation about Usyk being one of the best heavyweight’s is dead. He’s one of the best boxers of all time. Period!

  • @goricaj1
    @goricaj1 День тому +14

    Fury couldn’t go after Usyk like he said he would because he actually feared getting tagged and tko’d. Funny how a middleweight got into Fury’s head lol

    • @TrueRed1983
      @TrueRed1983 День тому +1

      @@goricaj1 absolutely, rent free. Totally bamboozled him in & out the ring. The 10 second public workout, the 11min face off followed by his implosive rant, Fury was just mentally drained trying to figure out ways to appear in control. And you’re right, so wary of getting chinned he actually fought scared, fought with the air of a man that was just happy to go the distance and not get ironed out.

    here's what I know for sure: Usyk threw more punches and constantly responded to attack with attack, and Fury threw spinning punches, like in MMA, and constantly held Usyk with his hands and constantly hugged, + he should have raised his shorts even higher, to his neck, ahahaha

    Not sure it’s a good idea to allow a boxer to think that he has won two fights that he has actually lost. Surely it’s better to accept that you lost and acknowledge what you need to do different to win next time?

    Had usyk nicking it by a round. The TNT commentary was horrifically bias, almost impossible to listen to at times thought Ade’s first questions about the scorecards and the Dubios nonsense took the shine away from the main man at the end. Give usyk his flowers

    Usyk clearly won the fight and it wasn’t close. I’m so tired of this narrative. These are supposed to be professionals. The guy that said 9 rounds to 3 for Usyk is right and it’s refreshing to hear someone who is honest

    Usyk waits out for the Dubois/Parker fight and then fights the winner and becomes a 2x Undisputed HW. He then may even flirt with going back down to Cruiser if an Undisputed chance is available to close the circle and become 2x CW Undisputied.
    If he does that, the argument is over. He is the greatest boxer of all time.

    Random, but I'd like to apologise to Andy Clarke for taking the piss out of his washing machine/boiler issues...our washing machine just randomly pissed itself last week, no repairs under warranty till after new years...had to fork out for a new one. Talk about karma. Anyone know any journeymen plumbers in case the boiler bricks it in??

    Give it 18 months months it wouldn’t surprise me if Usyk Fury 3 happens if he gets past AJ.
    Still back Fury to beat AJ but Fury looked slow as I’ve seen him Saturday night, AJ got Speed and power over him and lived a much cleaner life even in defeat but AJ looks a nervous anxious wreck in a big fight, Fury was still in there fighting on Saturday night even tho he came up short.
    Rob if you see this, what I will say Usyk is getting the short straw by having to fight Dubois again for undisputed with Usyk taking the harder fight to set up a possible undisputed for Either Fury or AJ to walk into. Surely some sanctioning body outwith the IBF will call a mandatory or they all willing to sit and do nothing as long the Saudi cheddar is going to the sanctioning bodies? Dubois getting the IBF is well thought out by the brains behind the operation, fury loses to Usyk and they’ve still got plenty to set up when it seems doom and gloom. Usyk will keep bashing up Brits and make another 150m

    Usyk consummate professional and amazing fighter but this era is the most overrated era in history. Fury beat a 40 year old walls who had been repeatedly KO’d in the past and couldn’t even hurt him then ducked the rematch. The best c level wilder after getting dropped 1000 times by him and other mediocre guys. Then he gets schooled twice by a guy half his size and with 10,000 more total fights. It’s time we just admit fury was never as good as we thought he was. He was a B level guy.
