Why am I sitting here smiling like an idiot? Forget race, a generational gap was bridged and a genuine friendship was formed. I'll be starting a petition for them to have their own channel 😂
My face hurts from smiling this hard and from ear to ear 😂 so I feel you. The respect and honesty they have and naturally bonding over everything really got me grinning 😁
Imma join you🤧💞
YES.
I'm so choked up. Many barriers were overcome after their honest and open conversation. It was a beautiful interaction.
Miss you Grandma OK. You and Zoey have turned a lot of frowns upside down.
God bless!
I agree, they deserve it
We need to see a “Grandma OK tries Ghanan food for the first time” featuring Isaac’s cooking
Yess
This would be so cute!
Issac is young I think Ramen may be his best dish 🤣 at least it was mine at that age. Maybe they can just follow some recipes
Ghanaian * :)
i'd love that
"When I see food, I forget about everything else"
Same 😂
In Korea this is my reaction also. I will probably never go back to a western diet after living in Korea!
Glad to see all the like minded people 😂 . Foodies unite!
Food, the Universal uniter, lol. 😋
So true. I inhale mine 😄
100% of my attention, lol
Them bonding over food and them complimenting each other with their whole hearts while laughing together made me so happy. I’m proud of Grandma Ok for being so open to discussion with people and opening her mind and heart to them, seeing them as people no matter where they come from and who they are. She is the sweetest, how can you not love her?
The most wholesome thing about grandma OK is that she makes being nice seem easy.
And truth is, it shouldn't be hard, she's a lovely example of how to do it. Brb, need to go call my grandma
Being nice IS easy - it's the easiest most relaxing and invigorating thing in the world. Perhaps, it's other people's reactions that are sometimes not so easy. If you think about it that way, it changes you perspective a little... :-)
The thing is is that being nice is easy people just have started to think that if your not going around cussing everyone out and fighting people then you are a nice person
Yup, gonna do the same thing! Gotta go grab my ouija board... Lol just playing! Hope your grandma is well!
@Dante Spardason It's spelt exorcise. I would have thought you'd know that?
I legit had a moment with these two strangers at my local bar a few weeks ago where we had a few shots for all the grandmas out there. They're the best.
I felt so sad with Grandma worrying that her great-grandchildren would be discriminated against if they were to be interracial. It's a travesty that we still live in a world where this is such a real issue.
Overall her whole interaction with Isaac was so beautiful, touching, poignant and fun to watch.
I have to confess I'm a bit in love with him for being such a sweet and thoughtful guy and as always when I think i cannot love Grandma OK even more there she comes proving me wrong.
my nephew is biracial
he's only 9 but kid gets picked on so much, people say all kinds of racist slurs
its sad
@FIGHTFANNERD9 I'd rather say no to racism including yours
@@x.mono.x4011 i don't know if it shockes me the most because I'm Brazilian or because as an anthropologist I understand that is all about sociocultural and political issues.
@@x.mono.x4011 I hope those who bullies that kid fry to death, how can they even say such things to a freaking *9 YEAR OLD KID* !?
Istg human beings don't have humanity most of the time..
@FIGHTFANNERD9 shut up
When Grandma pulled him closer to her for the pictures🥺♥️🥺🥺🥺♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I knooooooooowwwww...she's like "nope, I want hugs!!"
omg yesss!!! that whole moment with the awkward hands and arms like they just wanted to be closer and she just wanted to hold him!! i'm laugh-crying so much, that was super adorable and that photo is just precious!!!!!
almost cry in the end )))))) it was sooo generesy cute!!!
Zoey, you being discriminated against while abroad is extremely sad. I am so sorry you had to endure that ❤
I know... so sorry Zoey. We're not all like that, but that doesn't erase the hurt you felt. It touched me that Grandma OK was saddened that you had to go through it alone--me too.
I am sorry too, that I wasn’t there. I may or may not have dislocated a man’s shoulder after he was harassing my friend. 🤷🏽♀️
There really are ignorant ,rude people all over the world, but thank God they are in the minority. The majority of people are usually very nice if you give them the chance
I saw that video she talked about with the “N” word stuck on the kid’s back and some people just secretly took it off, but one group stopped the kid and told him something like, “Look, if your friends do this to you, they ain’t your friends.” Was great to see, because these are very don’t get involved cultures. So for someone to try to help the kid that much...
do you have the link to it?

I feel like its the parents responsibility to educate their children about right and wrong, no child is born with hate, they learn it as they grow.

Here ya go! 😊💜
Grandma OK really looks like she low key wants to adopt everyone in these conversations. I love it.
I agree with grandma. He laughs beautifully.
Very fitting considering his name
"Wanna hang out?"
"No, I'm hanging with your granny."
If your grandma is grandma OK, that’s just inevitable. We all wanna hang out with her. 😂❤️
Granny & grandchild have a special relationship. So sweet. Granny wants to feed children always.
Please lend me your granny, I need granny love.
@@namitales the
I hope Isaac knows he's her grandchild now. One of us! :) This was lovely and I hope they get to have a meal together some time. It would only take 10 minutes for them to finish eating, and everybody would be happy! Haha.
she genuinely liked him, no pretence
Issac has such a charismatic and lovely way of speaking! Grandma Ok is so lovely and you can really feel she means everything she says. Great video
I took a deep breath at the first question then sighed in relief at her answer. We need more Asian grandmothers like her.
Same I was so scared
She obviously has an opinion against racism and even apologised to Issac for her behavior to the solider she met when she was a kid, so I fully expected her to not like the relationship only because of the hardships that the child might face in life
I loved watching them bond about eating. You should invite him back and try Ghanian food together!
That's a great idea!
*Ghanaian
Good try tho👍🏽 ☺️
Grandma Ok, thank you for your honesty and kindness to this young man. This almost 75 black American grandma really appreciates you.❤
I truly love Grandma OK. She is a national treasure. She should be like BTS and be the Global Ambassador for Elders and Tolerance
omg please yes!! how great would that be, BTS for the youth paired with Halmuni OK for the elders, UN please we need this!
He absolutely has the most warm and genuine smile. It warms my heart so much to see them laugh together.
He is so wise for one so young. I wish him the very best, and I hope he knows that he is making the world better just by being himself
“When I see food, I forget about everything else. I chug it up.”
I felt that😂
This video made me smile a lot and laugh along! They're so adorable, both of them 🥰 I love Isaac's laugh omg, like Grandma Ok said, its adorable! ❤ The picture in the end just completely melted my heart!! 🥰
Issac is so adorable
There's absolutely nothing else I should've been doing with the 9 minutes of my life than watch these two beautiful humans converse 😭🥺 this was sooo cute! For a moment I forgot that the world we live in is not perfect. This has been the best video I've seen all year. I loved them so much ❤ this is the type of content we like.
I love how food make them more closer than any other subject
From what I've heard, there's a good few villages out in rural parts of Africa, and a few countries therein that need relief aid, but I'm pretty sure the charity commercials you see are all filming the same village from different angles; even looking at a whole continent, that level of poverty CANNOT be that common
It's also focusing on specific events where it's extra bad, like when a civil war disrupts things, or the famine in Ethiopia, which was a big deal in 1984 but even now is happening again in Tigray due to the genocide
Rural Africa? You mean rural parts within select African counties. Thinking of Africa as one country seems so ingrained in western minds. It's a deliberate propaganda that's taken root unfortunately.
@@Theoanno7 that's what I meant; I agree, they don't really teach you anything about the rest of the world in American schools, especially anywhere in Africa that isn't ancient Egypt
Or South Africa, if they teach anything about Apartheid
It’s literal propaganda. The same could be done in almost any country in existence with proper editing, especially in the US
@@kissit012 Have you seen videos of some parts of West Virginia or even LA ?? The west loves to compare bad areas of their countries to the third world but it’s almost as bad in some parts
Okay, so that was the issue that Grandma OK had (where it cut off in Part 1) about interracial relationships that I had hoped was the case; her concern was about how racist people would treat her biracial great-grandchild if her granddaughter married someone Black/African-descent. Seeing the rest of the video in full context was needed, but also cathartic seeing through their interaction what we should see everyday...how very CONNECTED humans are to each other, no matter how vastly dissimilar our cultural experiences are, because the universal thing that binds us together (should we choose to utilize it) is our humanity and showing love to each other. That translates over no matter where you come from on this planet. I'm sure that this experience leaves an even greater impression on Grandma OK, speaking to a foreigner/African for the first time, and in her own language. Isaac is very intelligent as well as a truly beautiful soul, as is OK, and watching the two of them bond made my heart feel good. People like them are the ones who save me from becoming a full-out misanthrope.Great job with this series, Zoe, and please keep this going!
Right? Makes a lot of sense. I’m mixed, raised by my white mother and she has so many concerns. She’s yelled at store owners for discriminating against my African family. They denied us access but my family spoke French so they didn’t understand the racial slurs. My mom did, and she FLIPPED. She even encouraged me to choose a doctor of color cause she KNEW I needed someone of color to understand me better and make sure I wasn’t treated differently. I never noticed any racism, but she always did and protected me from it. Growing up, I started realizing in how much fear my mom always lived, fighting for my rights as a person of color and calling out racism all the time. I totally understand grandma OK’s fears in that sense and I respect her for saying it, because it is a fear a lot of parents with mixed children or adopted children deal with. ❤️
@@namitales your mom is badass as heck and it seems she has been teaching you well. I truly hope for a world where these aren't concerns anymore.
Because of my own experiences I expected part 2 to be different. This was 1000% beautiful and wholesome and warms my heart immensely. I am sorry for my doubt. GRANDMA FOR THE WIN!!!!
Nice video. I really love that she's having these types of conversations. It's great to see two people talking and listening to eachother without disrespect.
Awwww! I KNEW that cliffhanger would turn out OK!
Omg both of them relating to each other and vibing over eating fast paced was so precious 🥺💘
The ending is so awkward and cute when they were trying to pose for photos, it made me laugh a lot.
And I agree Grandma Ok, Isaac's laugh is adorable, but so is yours! :D
Lol oh my, grandma was going for the kiss at the end lol!!! You know what, it would be really cool if there was a Grandma World Tour, go around places and talk with crowds of people while having fun! I bet that's gonna be a fun adventure! Happy Halloween!
할머니 마음 이 진짜 아름다워요 🥰
I love this series! Please keep these videos coming! Grandma OK is so pure and wholesome!
Am a Ghanaian and am also really into Korean culture..I often have the urge to visit korea and Asia as a whole buh it's the racism that I am scared of because like he said in Ghana we never experience anything like that . But now I watch this i really want to visit korea thanks to Grandma and my fellow Ghanaian brother 😊
Two wholesome af people... my heart is just a puddle by the end of the video. This was so lovely!
everytime i wastch her im amazed....i have a family friend who i learn korean from who is very similar to her and the kindnes...the just amazing amount of kindness in this womans eyes in incredible....i feel loved and im just watching it.
Grandma Ok has the same reasoning my grandmother said to me when I was in high school when I asked her how she would feel if my future partner is Black. I am from Okinawa and she has heard so many discrimination stories and bullying stories that she said that it would be heart breaking to watch the child go through that.
Although I don’t agree that avoiding having mixed race children is the answer, I understand where she is coming from. I remember being shocked, angry, and upset hearing stories of harsh discrimination towards blasian children. I would talk about them, but I feel like it could be triggering and I want to respect others mental health.
Things have improved a lot since I was younger, but discrimination and prejudice persist.
It seems in East Asian countries it is a persisting issue. Hopefully as more biracial and multiracial children increase, this will reduce stigma and improve the situation.
Sending love to all multiracial and POC besties ❤️
He is blushing so hard it's adorable. He needs to take her to dinner. I bet they would have so much fun
WOW, am watching this conversation and it has brought tear of joy. I live here in South Africa and being black i have always had reservations of visiting an Asian country coz am afraid of the treatment i would receive but watching this has given me hope. So South Korea, definitely on my list
I was thinking it in previous videos, that Grandma OK was adorable, but this one confirmed that thought. Her and Isaac are both very sweet. Love your subjects! God bless!!
he looked like he was laughing and having a good time all throughout but you can really hear his real laugh come out when theyre bonding over eating too fast 😭😭 i love when its not super awkward between guests their chemistry is just so great together
omg his legs rocking back and forth, i do that when im excited to it makes it so much better
This video made me 😢 cry. At first I didn't think I was going to like it but, as I watched I couldn't stop smiling. They both were so genuine in getting to know each other and when all the barriers came down they just enjoyed each other's company very beautiful indeed. I can't wait until the whole world is this beautiful. 진짜 감사합니다 🥰!
I agree with you ! :)
He always gestures like he’s trying to explain something to a child or SUPER delicately…it’s so cute 😂❤️❤️. I love them together so much 😍. His laugh makes my day better
Aww! This is so wholesome
I'm really impressed with his Korean! Didn't he say in the last video, it had been like 3 years? He's really good.
Grandma is so kind.
That was wonderful to see. She is an awesome grandma and person. So sweet. My father in law did not want my husband to marry me because he did not want to think of his grandson being treated badly being mixed race. It all works out.
These are examples of beautiful human beings. They are so open minded, so respectful, so kind and so understanding. ❤️❤️❤️
Grandma OK and Issac are BFFs now. Such heartwarming and touching videos. I hope to see more from the 2 of them together.
I love how fluent he is, I love the personality of both, I love all of it
The grandma has beautiful soul, i can discern this by the sincerity, wisdom and kindness in her eyes, she's the type of person we all wanna be. Also i gotta salute this the young dude too, he's strikes me as a genuinely warm and friendly personality with a big heart, not to mention that he seems very wise and socially aware as well, we all could learn something from him. The whole interaction is just so heart warming to witness. South Africa salutes you.
I LOVE when they are both laughing hard admitting they both snarf down food as fast as they can! Lol
Such a beautiful conversation between two beautiful souls. ( I am NOT crying, shaddup)
(Okay I'm crying)
Two beautiful seouls*
since they're in Korea 😆
Somebody please bubble wrap them! This was so precious, and brought me so much joy to see this type of openness. This was the highlight of my day. ❤
Grandma is so modern and i Can’t even sense a hint of generation gap between these two! So cute together ! Love their humanity and respect towards each other.
Beautiful video, excellent content. I have a sweet friend who is half Korean and half Black and she is gorgeous. I’m sorry to hear that the young man and the granddaughter both have experienced racism. I will never understand why people would hurt other people because of race, skin color, culture, upbringing, etc. Makes me feel so sad.
this was so sweet. brings a smile to my face, especially when they took the photo :) as a black person hoping to live in korea in the future, it’s nice to see how we are progressing and being more open minded
I loved this! Get that picture framed! Lol. Your grandmother is so sweet and fun. I thought the gentleman in the video was one of the brightest souls I've ever seen. His laugh and smile made me happy.
Not grandma absorbing his youth at the end lmao
I love his laugh! And, oh, how full my heart feels seeing them hold hands and truly appreciate and respect one another. He conveyed just how all of us out here feel about dear Grandma OK. She is a rare treasure that we all truly cherish! God bless her, and Isaac.
Grandma OK is honestly the best. I love her openness and understanding. And most of all her honesty.
MUST PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS
I love these guys. I'm a white-looking guy who's half Asian and went to Black schools, so this is really interesting to see.
Edit: I just realized she's 81 years old, which is also my grandma's age! I live with her and look after her, so there's another reason why I love this video haha.
He's indeed so cute and he has a stunning smile.
Shes so sweet. The guy is awesome too!
I'm so in love with this grandma. She's awesome.
The photo at the end was beautiful!
This video was almost too much to take! The cuteness of them both is so precious! Somebody bubble wrap them both they must be protected!!!❤️☺️
I’m very happy that, there are people out there who are willing to learn about another race and culture so that we all can understand one another. This literally brings me back to when I worked at another nail salon a month before I started a new place. I was so shocked and surprised that one of the nail techs and a client were speaking to each other like they’re best friends. The customer who happens to be black spoke fluent Vietnamese, which really got everyone in the salon dropped their mouth open in shock and admiration. Everyone was wondering how the heck was she able to speak Vietnamese so well especially without an accent when she speaks. The client said that she moved to Vietnam to live there for 4 years to teach English, math, and Black Culture which was jaw dropping.
This is the most f@#ing wholesome thing I've seen this week, God bless these beautiful people 🌸
Grandma is so kind. She has that grandmother warmth we all went to grandma's house for as kids🥰🥰
This was absolutely great. I love how honest it was and didn’t expect all the racial questions but it was nice because we need more conversations like it. Thank you for not running away from it. Grandma was adorable and I personally appreciate her honest and open mindedness. Isaac had a great spirit and honestly, they were the best duo for this. Loved it.
That's one of my top favourites out of all the episodes. What a beautiful and heartwarming encounter. Sending you love from Africa.
Wow, I want a grandmother like this. She is beautiful. And this young gentleman, I hope his family watched the video and feel so proud of raising a sweet gentle soul. Thank you for this video.
I love this!! I’m black Canadian I speak, Japanese, English, French and Spanish . So it makes me happy, cause my gf is white but my cousins are mix so I always tell them that they should be happy in there skin, it’s what we are born in. Love yourself everyone!!
Awwww Grandma OK in loovveeee you hear me?! He part of the family now. They r the pure cutest! I didn’t think I could smile more after Part 1 lol 🤗
My heart exploded over the wholesome vibes. Isaac has to have a food video with grandma! Maybe trying some of his home food from Ghana? I understand grandma's worries for mixed children, I am mixed myself and the bullying was sometimes difficult I am not going to lie. The world has many categories that need a lot of work, but as long as the kid has a strong support system be it friends or family, I think they will turn out well and overcome the bullying. Some days it will hurt, but to come home or to hang out with people who care for you will help with easing the insecurities away ^.^
Could they be any cuter together?! ❤️
What a nice interaction between these two. I'm glad I was able to watch both parts. They were both so genuinely sweet with each other!
Thanks for posting these.
Being a Nigerian...thus was such a joy to watch..
In not dark skinned....but I'm not European white either ..I'm just light skinned, but you'd know I'm not European...or just think I have a super strong tan, lol
It always bother me personally whenever I see rasicst stuff...cos it's so unnecessary...yet it exists and it hurts
Seeing Grandma OK be so nice and sweet with him was so endearing and Issac and Grandma being so happy...almost teared up at a point...this was a joy to watch and I have more motivation now to travel to Asia for my studies
Bless you two and those who put the video together!
I found myself crying so hard lol... This was so wholesome and i loved it. It's great to see such different people with completely opposite background, age and culture coming together and bonding like this, laughing so genuinely. It just melts my heart with happiness... Thank you
I love grandma OK! She's the best.
Absolutely love grandma.. she is so cute and honest and excepting. It is a pity more people is not like her.
That was so beautiful. At they end they seemed that they had really bonded. The older lady probably hasn't been complimented as such for a while. I hope they kept in touch.
Grandma wanted some chocolate at the end! 🤣🤣🤣
I love you and Grandma so much especially this chat with her and a Ghanaian fellow. So heart felt and real. This is what humanity is supposed to be like. Please give Grandma my love. She is wonderful and so wise. And of course Mr Ghana is also too. Pls have more great chats like this.
This is the best Duo. More Grandma Ok and Isaac videos please 🥰😍
Great video! Both seem so genuine and full of laughter! Beautiful interaction!
And this is exactly what the true purpose of humanity is meant to be.

It's so cute in the end she tried to hold on to his cheeks to take a closer picture!
I can't be the only one that balled their eyes out at the ending pic. It all hit hard, how much a smile, an open mind and heart would be suffice to change so many peoples lives on the daily.
My grandmother died on my birthday back in May of this year and admittedly, I’ve been avoiding videos with Grandma Ok, because I didn’t want to cry. But this series has warmed my heart and yes, I did end up crying. But I allowed myself to feel those feelings and not run away from them. I always called Grandma Ok my unofficial third granny, and it was great seeing her again.
I'm sorry about your Grandma. I'm glad you were strong enough to let yourself feel sadness amd cry.
Such a wonderful friendship blooming. I smiled the whole time these two beautiful people talked and got to know each other. There is no reason for hate for any reason as these two show. No age. No gender. No skin color or culture. This is how I was raised in America. Every weekend my family spent with my Dad’s best friend and his family who were black. I felt warm and loved and happy spending time with my added on family. I am now trying to learn all about the Korean culture as I have about other cultures. I love when we all are friends and peaceful. Thank you for showing this. I love Grandma so much. This young man was certainly equally charming. Blessings.❤️🙏🏻🥰😍😌😊
I would love to see your grandmother meet a woman her age from another Asian country and compare their stories
I wonder how she would interact with a Japanese woman her age. I say Japanese because of the animosity between Japan and Korea.
@@xavierlauzac5922 It's the politics, but in personal situations, Jpnese ppl/visitors in Korea are treated well, like any other tourists, unless the visitors acted rowdy, breaking laws, etc.
@@dionysus4778 I figured as much. Both are democracies aligned with the United States, so there’s obviously going to need to be cooperation.
I just love her seemingly unending love and positivity!
The videos in this series just make my heart burst with happiness! Grandma OK is the absolute best person that has ever existed and i love her with my whole soul ❤ i wish Isaac nothing but blessings and happiness and the same for Grandma OK!
What a wonderful conversation between two caring articulate people. It serves to remind us that there are good people everywhere.
Aaaahhh maaaan this is cute and both their laughter is contagious 🤣🤣🤣🤣you find yourself just laughing too
