Google Pixel Watch 3 Review - ALMOST Everything

- This is the pixel watch 3 and not sure if you've noticed but this is actually the first Google Smartwatch that I review. Yes, I did have the first two generations and I will admit that I did my best to try to use them, but a few things just didn't work out. The first watch in particular was a gigantic leap, not just for Google, but genuinely for wear OS. This whole idea of actually creating a smartwatch around the Fitbit was just genius. That watch alone set the standard that all others are following when it comes to specs and performance, but the compromises in taste were the problem for many. It only came in one size, which didn't include me, and the battery life was just atrocious.
The Pixel Watch 2 was built on that same platform and a ton of improvements, but dragged some problems with it and introduced new ones. The materials got cheaper, which I have no problem with when it came to the aluminum, but the display was my deal breaker. A Fitbit that favors runners, but then struggles with Polarized sunglasses should simply not exist.
It wasn't until this third generation and the introduction of a second size option that I was really compelled fully commit, so much so that I haven't taken it off ever since, which yes, means it even replaced my Galaxy Watch Ultra. It really didn't take much for me to notice this was overall a far better experience than I was expecting, though yeah, it's still not perfect. i got sold my samsung galaxy watch 6 classic LTE fir the Pixel watch 3 45mm LTE. The pixel watch works so much better for me. best choice ever. I am also getting 4 Days battery with AOD off.

good vid! I'm yet to pull the trigger, the watch looks amazing but the lack of bands and price of existing options really makes me pause...
You can get the bands everywhere. Not the official versions maybe, but does it really matter?
Spigen has decent options. 3rd party bands will be the way to go
Sadly Bands Matter. I bought the 46mm with sport band and it's super uncomfortable.
There is a huge limitation on bands. I have never seen anything like it.
I still adore my Google Pixel Watch 2! ❤⌚️ I don’t believe it lived up to the negative hype that surrounded it! In my opinion, it’s still an incredible device!
Same I got mine about four months ago and I really enjoyed too. Battery life is pretty good,screen pretty good. Haven’t had any problems.
Especially after the wear OS 5 update :D

My Pixel watch 3 45mm LTE lasts 2 days consistently. I use it for the basic stuff. Check a couple emails. Check text messages and reply to a few. Always on display off. Tilt to wake off. Vibrations and pings and dings off. It lasts almost twice as long as my Pixel watch 1st Gen LTE. Definitely glad I skipped the 2nd Gen and went with the 3rd with the bigger watch I've been wanting
Of course it's going to last 2 days if you have the aod and tilt to wake off. It's basically not doing anything at that point. Kind of pointless as a watch, too.
@@Gravageyou can tap to wake it up and why do you need your always on display on? It's a smartwatch not a real watch.

@@Gravage My Pixel 9 pro XL is always on me. I still use it for the major stuff. The Pixel watch 3 does everything I need it to and more
5:03 I agree with this but unfortunately, since Google (and Samsung) started to make it possible to skin WearOS, this is just not going to happen. Sure, some manufacturers (like Mobvoi) might have a vanilla-like interface, but everyone now is using their own skins, which in a way makes sense because it gives the watches a consistent look, but still. Aside from that yes, the Pixel Watch 4 needs even less bezels, a sapphire screen and a second button below (or above, depending on how you use it) the crown.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 is the first Google smartwatch that the speaker actually likes. He didn't like the first two generations because they were too big and had bad battery life. This third generation comes in two sizes and has much better battery life.
The speaker likes the hardware design of the watch. It has a minimalistic screen with very small bezels and is made of polished aluminum. The only thing he doesn't like about the design is the band mechanism, which is difficult to get on and off and makes it hard to find third-party bands.
The display is gorgeous and has 16% smaller bezels and a brighter 2,000 nits display. It is also water resistant and has a speaker.
The watch is powered by the Snapdragon W5 gen 1 processor and has 2 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of storage. It also has LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a bunch of sensors for tracking health data such as heart rate, oxygen saturation, and skin temperature.
The speaker says that Wear OS on this watch is exactly what it should be. It is easy to use and has a rotating crown that can be used to scroll through menus and select apps. He also likes the fact that it has Google Assistant.
The watch is very accurate when tracking fitness activities such as running, weight training, and cycling. It is also compatible with Peloton bikes. The speaker says that it is even more accurate than the Apple Watch Series 10 for some activities.
The battery life is good, but the speaker wishes it lasted longer. He was able to get through a day and a half of use with an hour and a half of workouts, but he doesn't think it would last through a marathon.
Overall, the speaker really likes the Google Pixel Watch 3. He thinks it is the best Wear OS watch on the market and is very accurate for tracking fitness activities. However, he does not like the fact that it is difficult to find third-party bands and that Fitbit data is not transferable to other platforms. He concludes the video by recommending the watch to anyone who wants the best Wear OS experience and doesn't need to switch away from this watch for more intense activities.
Thought u can do health connect to sync yr data to google fit? However, Garmin doesn’t.
I am using health sync to sync all my data to Samsung health(ironically)
The most underrated feature of this watch is the sleep tracking. It can record your nap or sleep whenever. I'm a night shift worker and it helps a lot in tracking my sleep.
Some watchface creators try to imitate the awesome design to implement on other watches. They fail because of lacking hardware capability.
It’s a watch for Android fans only.I just couldn’t image reading content on a circular display.

Only one thing though - I believe the blood oxygen sensor on this one only works when you are sleeping and measures it when you’re asleep. It does not have an on demand feature at least not yet.
lack of bands is a deal breaker …. what about selling an adapter?

I used an Apple watch as wel as the Pixel watch 2. The first one is actually quite ugly, the second one was okay though Google Calendar didn't work properly on it; Calendar only showed birthdays and no other events.
However, a smart watch is nothing for me and isn't even a real watch. I don't need a device that basically does the same as my phone and send me messages all the time. It can't replace proper watches like my Longines and Omega.
The first Pixel watch and the second generation looked exactly the same. So I'm not quite sure what you mean by the first one was ugly. My calendar works just fine, so you probably didn't set yours up to sync all of your calendars in the settings. I wonder if you even had the watch at all, or just borrowed one for five minutes.
So it means you’re not the intended user. If you’re just using your smartwatch for notifications then you haven’t really looked at all the things your watch could do. I’m a runner, it’s nice to be able to leave my phone and keys behind in my car because my watch can stream music and guide me on my run, while still being able to take calls and messages should anything happen. I can also lock/unlock/start my car so now I don’t need to run with keys. When I get home I can unlock my house and disarm it without taking out my phone. If I go somewhere with Apple Pay, I can just tap my watch to the kiosk. Same when I went to Disney world, just tap my watch. For flying, I link my foreflight account to my watch and have step by step directions and info right there on my watch for navigation.
Like I said just sound like you didn’t know how to use your watch if you’re just using it for notifications. It’s not supposed to be a real watch more of an assistant

The Pixel Watch still isn't quite at the level of the Galaxy watches, but I'm still impressed with it.
Got to get yourself a Huawei watch, I'm getting 9 days of battery life.
I think people want third party apps too, Huawei watches don’t have WearOS
