- The rat race is OFFICIALLY ON!
We are in the barn, in the fields and on the roads.
This is Jess's first real experience with harvest, and she's learning that nothing is easy, and mistakes happen.
But no matter what, she can run into the barn and get cheered up pretty quick.

That lamb is like “I have claimed this human.”
That lambs mom is thinking STEALER! That's my baby lol.
I love how that little lamb comes running to you and making such a big fuss to see Mama Sandi!!! Too cute!!!
You probably dont give a shit but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account?
I stupidly lost my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Ares Hudson instablaster =)
@Sincere Archer thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Sincere Archer It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out!
@Ares Hudson Glad I could help xD
When Jess was petting the lamb, my four year old said “That’s a little lamb, and that’s Mary!”
THAT'S adorable!!
This comment tells me the gracious upbringing that the 4 year old is receiving..! Bless you..!
My gosh that sounds ADORABLE
She can be called Mary then?
Awwwww awwwww 🥰
21:45 would make such a great calendar picture, you could have a working farm calendar with a mixture of pictures, of regular daily farm life.
The fact that Jess feels bad for what she might have done actually impresses me as to her quality of character. You’ve done a good job raising her, and Jess, always care, but you’ve got to eat, girl, you’ve got to do that!
You can’t get rid of her, she is so precious
I think Sandi said she was a keeper!
It’s a boy isn’t it?
Jess everyone accepts youngsters make mistakes the important thing is that you learn from them and don't keep making the same mistakes over and over again
The more I see of Jessica, the more I respect her, and I already had a ton of respect for her. What a great daughter to be proud of. Be extra careful around all of that dangerous equipment.
Thank GOD for ALL Farmers around the World. We Humans couldn’t Exist without each of you.👍
She melts my heart the way she comes running when she hears you
seeing you be upset about the noodles but then immediately going to improve them is amazing and inspiring to me! i would've given up but you didn't and i really respect that! I love your videos. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Sandi: I just can't keep falling in love with these lambs.
Speckled lamb: Nuzzle, cuddle, cuddle... tries to get milk from Sandi's ear.
Sandi: He's so friendly, like a puppy.
Sheepishly Me subscribers: This is another keeper!!
I love that little guy. 🥰
He just bolts to you when he sees you.
"Dog" is a great name for him.
Your daughter is lovely.
You have a wonderful family. 👨👩👧👦💙💖💙💖
combining general farming with your sheep farming vid is a good idea because we get a better idea of how complex and demanding the whole operation of your family farming is. Big compliments to you all, I care for you guys and thank you for you hard work and to share it with us. I’m a retired lady of 74 and born in Iowa but never lived on a farm. My dad commuted. Here, I’m now on Vancouver Island and call myself an arm chair farmer, ha. Huge thanks, and stay safe!🦌💌❤️🐑❤️☕️❤️🇨🇦❤️🐝❤️🌾❤️🌽
Lambs running up and down is soooooooo cute
_lampedes_
ZOOMIES!!😍😆
You guys have got a great girl there. Not too many times do you see an 19 year old girl with grease on their hands. She is a keeper
"What happened?"
"I dont want to talk about it..."
XD Don't worry Jesse, we have all been there!
Rite of passage.
I think #3 is more attached to you than Billie. She is just adorable. She really is a puppy. I do hope you can keep her. 👍🏻💕🇨🇦🥰
Yes she is a good girl
Awe, watch that precious baby wag his tail when Jess is playing with him/her.
Employers take note. These parents are raising a farm girl who already has mad capabilities. Jess will make the best employee you ever had, and count yourself lucky that you are able to attract her to your business.
What a gorgeous farm video. It has all the beauty this farm girl could ask for. Love the changing colors, but the frost that causes it all was so lethal for your crops! Yikes, what a push to get things done! Tell Mark his bean field is really nice. I didn't see one weed out there in it! And Jess, the fear of disappointing someone is so scary, but look at all you've learned this past year, it makes my head spin! Thanks for the great video Sandi, the cuddling was awesome!
I'm going to say once again how impressed I am with Jess and her ability to handle everything. Her knowledge of the machinery she operates as well as the whole process of planting and harvesting is impressive. Sandi, she has obviously been taught well by you and Mark. I love your videos, your family, and your entire farming operation (days the city girl from Cleveland, Ohio). Thanks for sharing a part of your life with us.
Well hello neighbor 👋🏼I’m from Cleveland too! 😁
Hello neighbors, Sandusky here
God bless our farmers they work harder before 6 am, and stay later than most people even think about. They also have a heart for others because they feed the world.
Jess "outstanding in her field" is so cute 😍
I have watched this video over and over again. What a sweet little lamb! 🥰
Even my 10 year old said "her hair is down!" Hahaha 😅 it looks great. Fresh hair color always feels so good 👌 glad you could squeeze in a tiny bit of self care time 😉❤️
Your interaction with Jess is something I never had with my three. Something wrong with my upbringing that was never transferred to me. It is a delight to see some good interaction between a Mother and Daughter. Something I wish I had been taught in my own upbringing, but never had been given nor shown. Thank you for showing the laughter and love, it gives me hope that there’s going to be a good future for Jess.
No, Sandi, not all men turned off, I actually chuckled at the delicate way you framed your activity. Wishing you all well with the harvest.
I love how EXCITED that little lamb is to see you! Kinda hoping that you'll decide to keep it but only time will tell.
Lamb 🐑 is the sweetheart and just loves her so much it’s adorable 🥰
I appreciate the fact that you share the good and bad and the long ars hours that go into farming. People just don’t understand all the work that goes into growing our food. Thank you all.
OH MY GOSH YOU HAVE TO KEEP THAT LAMB THAT LOVES YOU!! ALSO YOU SHOULD NAME HER PEANUT (cause of her color) AND THEN HER AND BILLY COULD HAVE BABY LAMBS......HOW AWESOME AND SPECIAL THAT COULD BE!!! 💗💗💗🐑🐑🐑💗💗💗
I agree peanut is adorable. And just think you'll have a new you for the group that she can stay living with you till she's old and gray. But it's not very common to have a lamb be that friendly all the time
She is keeping her!💙
Ashley Hall I will vote for that ✅
Peanut Billy
(Sounds cutter when Jan say it... Lol)
@@sophieandwayne thanks
Such hard work 😓 and the timing of everything! WOW 😯! Such a cute lamb to take away the stress for a few moments. Thank you, Sandy for turning on the camera during times that you could update us💗🤗!
2023 here now just found this one hope you kept that little baby lamb absolutely beauitful❤
Eventually Sandi will breed the friendly into her sheep as she keeps back more and more friendly lambs... And then how will she ever sell any?
petting zoo
i dont see a problem with that lmao
Jess you are such a role model for so many young girls who think farm work is for boys. Keep showing us footage of you behind the wheel and wrenching on equipment.
I am just such a softy, when a an animal chooses you they chose and love them back is just part of who we are.
Love seeing more of Jess. She’s so sweet and funny
Didn't Jess want to go into Agricultural Business?
This gives her some HANDS ON Experience!! Your doing Great Jess! Keep up the good work!!!👍👍🌾🌄
I forgot the thumbs up
You should name her Joy, she brings you so much joy.
Yep... Working for dad is hard because you want to shine😍😍 Yep... Baby lamb is a keeper. Always a lift when you go out in the morning and she comes running over... Makes it all worth the effort. Great vlog today.
Farming, dust til dawn!! Thank U Farmers 4 everything u do to keep food grown and coming in!😆❤👍👍
That little lamb is sooo cute!! I also wanted to throw this out there to Jess.. unless you make mistakes, you won't learn how to handle problems on your own in the future ❤️ last winter I got my semi truck stuck in the snow in the mountains of Utah. My boss told me what I'm telling you, and now I use my mistakes as learning experiences! Thank you, for always showing the good and the bad, your videos always bring warmth to my soul 💜
You got to keep that dog, oops sorry lamb
I saw where someone else commented that #3 was a quad that you delivered and saved. I also think it is the one that you stuck straw up her nose to get her to breath. She imprinted on you with your sweet voice encouraging her to live and the way you talk to them when you are giving them a bottle. I love to watch because you are so caring !
I really hope the particular loving lamb is a girl that she might consider keeping.
It is female...so there's a decent possibility. Now, as far as being kept for breeding, I would guess that the lamb's genetics might play a huge factor.
@@nermalsturf And her average gain. That is what I am praying for.
She's a quad so we all need to cross our fingers!
@@stephanieellis5399 she's only a twin. Her twin is colored like her. And Sandi commented on another post that she is keeping her.
@@juliasturdevant9289 if you go back to when they were born there are four purple 3's (purple means quads or quints). Two of them were taken off mom and put on the machine. Practically, she's a twin because she shares mom with her sister. Technically, she's a quad which will be one of the factors that will affect daily gain, as will the fact that she was on mom and not the machine. These will all be factors that Sandi will look at when choosing replacement ewes.
16:50, I absolutely love how she hears you and comes running through the creep feeder to get to you, I’ve replayed that part over and over, lol. She is definitely a keeper! 18:12 mom is looking at you like sure be the favorite, I’m the one that has to do all the work feeding her and teaching her, but noooo, Aunt Sandi comes along and with her it’s all fun and games and I’m the one with the sore swollen teats. Lolololol.
Farm kids always have more maturity than their city counterparts, Jess you are doing a great job!
She is so adorable. Jess will be learning by her mistakes. Hope she takes it all in stride. Love this video. That family photo is beautiful.
So cute and adorable 🙂. Jess has an adorable personality, just love her.
That little ewe lamb is adorable! So personable and affectionate. We had a little bottle baby like that and she was fun to have around.
Yes, the mid west just had a major wind storm about a month ago. It was a derecho and it Tom out most of the silos and much of the corn crop. They are trying to salvage it now that they are harvesting. But it doesn’t look good. Many of the barns and other out buildings were damaged along with a majority of the silos. It’s been a rough crop year. Hopefully yours will be better
Wow! It has been a hard, hard year for farmers and ranchers down in the States. Good luck, with hope for the future from Canada.
Jess anything mechanical or electrical will breakdown at sometime or other and it doesn't matter how much maintenance you do or how observant you are !!
So don't sweat on it too much, and just put it down to sh** happens and the drill was lucky you noticed something wrong when you did !!
All the babies running the length of the pen and through the little gates is adorable.
Hang in their Jess..
On a very much smaller scale, winds have taken down some or all of our corn. When that happens we can still pick what we can. If unfenced, the dog (English Shepherd) picks a few ears a day, shucks them in the yard, and feeds them to our chickens. I don’t know where she got the idea.
Now THAT'S an awesome "dog trick"
OMG.. LOVE the English Shepherds! I used to have one growing up.. one of the best and smartest dogs we ever had. His name was Duke. After he passed away , we got another one and her name was Duchess. Duke was the best though of the two. When Duke was young and before Dad got transferred (USN), we used to have a horse (LadyBird) and about 4 cows. Duke and LadyBird were like buddies and would herd the cows together. I still miss them both to this day. Would love to have another English Shepherd again one day.
We had a feisty Yorkie who really took to herding sheep 🐑!! She was a first class little ankle nipper and was not afraid of Beelzebub himself!! How we miss her!!
I can't get enough of watching the lambs running and jumping... it's too cute... reminds me of watching schools of fish and their sudsen full school turning on a dime to head in another direction 😂. Lol.
Thanksfor showing us how intense and stressful harvesting is, all coming on at one time
I went back and watched the first lambing video to see the sweet little Cookie be born. Her mom had 4 babies and you had to literally bring one of them back to life. Is she the one you saved? And how sweet is that she really loves you!
I've never seen a lamb that was so tactile and climbs right into your lap as quickly as possible. She is so adorable.
I hope it turns out she can be a breeder because she's so sweet.
I have fallen in LOVE with a sheep. The same one that you did. I think it is so cute when she hears you calling her she comes running like a puppy. She is so CUTE. You have to stop with the cuteness overload. I will say a big thank you to you and your sheep since I found your channel when I am having a rough day or feeling kind of down I can come watch some of your blogs and it lifts my spirits. I especially like to see all the babies running back and forth while their mama's are eating, and the babies playing what I refer to as "king/queen on the mountain" where they are standing on top of an adult that is laying down.
That scene 21:45 with the machines in the field as the sun is setting. Epic
That was a beautiful picture of the combine and the bucket with the sunset.
The fact that lamb comes to you so eagerly just makes my heart gush. She should be kept and named Brule~
That name certainly fits her coloration and sweetness. I was thinking latte because of Sandi’s love for them.
@@npknscrb oh yes a very good name as well!
Okay, first, you must name that pretty little lamb Maisy! ( she lightens your days during the corn issue). Jess is killing it, good for her. Loving the combined lambing and crops videos! We regular people certainly take for granted how hard our Farmers work to keep food on our tables. Thank you for all you do Sandi, Mark, Jess and your helpers 😘😘
Little Buttercup with her pink nose and loving nature is so precious!!
The machinery needed for farming is amazing. Each one is specific to a task. A large investment for sure. The little lamb is a cutie!
Instead of nipple confusion, the lambs got mommy confusion. So sweet.
I think you have a new keeper... I think your mom!!! ❤❤❤❤
She's cute. You should keep her and call Caramel or Cappuci.
Edit: Jess, don't get yourself down. Planting is second hardest thing to do on farm. First hardest is spraying crops.
I suggested the name Caramel as well! It would go well with her other sheep, Popcorn, lol.
If that baby lamb is a girl don't get rid of her..... you just can't Sandi. We love her and she loves you so very much.
May God Bless the Farmers!
I love the way the lambs go to the owner and snuggle up
I just wanted to say that you're such a good mom! If my brother and I (21/19 years old) make even just a little mistake our father starts screaming and telling us that we are useles... It makes me so happy to see how you handle these situations.
love how you just wiggle your fingers at your little lamb and it comes running. so cute and sweet.
That lamb... is the sweetest thing... to roam the earth atm
for some reason Taffy seems like a cute name for this sweet little lamb .. Oh my gads she is melting my heart !!!!!! thank you for all your hard work !!!!!
So many things to like in this video! Your little lamb is such a sweetheart. She is a definite keeper. As I said before, she looks like she was drizzled with maple syrup. Jess has such a wonderful attitude and is always a delight to watch. All of you have an amazing work ethic. It is both satisfying and exhausting to watch. Sleep well everyone!
That lamb reminds me of my little friend Bub earlier this year. I ended up being involved with lambing of the small university sheep flock in February. I helped to deliver a lamb who seemed to bond to me straight away. She loved me from then on. She was my one friend during British lockdown because I live alone but went to check on Bub and the lambs every day. She would always come over for a cuddle. I was heartbroken when she was taken away for meat. I am personally vegetarian and could never eat one, especially after my time with Bub. But I love to watch lambing and I love that you care for them.
I'm sorry I had to laugh 😅 when the lamb was trying to eat your ear.i t s just so adorable. I could watch this all day and night. Love you and t h e lambs.
To clean up those dirty beans you can slowly pour the bucket in the combine header.
Mom #3 is thinking...there is another one of those lamb stealers....
thats so sweet the way that lamb runs to you she really loves you
Adorable. This is how Stormy is!!
It seems as if, Sandi, you are going to end up with a group of painted ewes in the future...take care of yourself during this busy season.
keep this lil pupp as ur pet. i never saw this kind of pupp in any of ur videos. he is completely in love with u
That lamb is such a little love. 🥰🐑
Great video! The shot @ 21:40 would make an absolutely gorgeous framed photo. The sun was stunning and the silhouette of the combine and cart....so pretty!!
Jess give yourself some grace - I to am a farmers kid and we learn on the job - don't worry about Dad getting prissy he is just tired and stressed as it's harvest time and he is chasing the weather. If he oversteps your greatest advocate will sort it out (your mother) - my mother would raise her eyebrows and that was his warning and us as kids as well and in a quite voice say she is learning, help her fix it and move on and apologies while you are there
This has made me realize what an effort it is to get crops in. How do you ever make a living with all the equipment you need, all the people and all the fuel it takes. Thanks for doing this!
Such a sweet little lamb! Comes when you call!
Lucy! Lucy! Lucy!!!
That lamb is sure the cutest thing! Baby lambs are the best! Those were the best as I remember from the farm!
Very interesting watching you harvest! Jessie is he daddy’s girl! She’s learning so much! Love to see it!
That lamb is so adorable
Jess is so charming! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
Joy ,Peanut,Dutchess & Carmela are all Great names for the friendly lamb she is too cute & sweet she reminds me of a Chloe so so sweet. Jess it was a ruff day but will get better. 😇🙏🐕🐑🐑🦄
Jessica, when the sun shines through the trees like that, it is really nice
Jess is a wonderful worker, and so sweet and beautiful 🥰
Please keep the little lamb 😍
It melts my heart that little lamb
Wow. That corn made me nervous instantaneously with October not even here. That coupled with root hold/lay down + wet weather inbound is a bit nerve-racking. Mrs. Brock, that said and looking down the road a bit, thinking about selling that little lamb would mean the nerves would increase exponentially. That has to be the friendliest, sweet mannered little lamb I've ever seen. Goodness gracious. I hope you keep it. If anything, what a chance to change tough day endings into smiles and a better way to have smiles at the beginning of a tough day you know has arrived. I think you and Jess are spot on. That little lamb is very puppy like in it's demeanor. Fantastic little gift. All the best to you and your family and my kindest regards for one of the best channels available. It has never been short of excellent. Cheers, Mrs. Brock!
It's mesmerizing to watch you do your field work not that I didn't respect the farmer that grows my beans but watching you and your family just makes my heart burst with pride for the farmers across the map ... That Sandy for taking us along 👩🌾👨🌾🚜
Worst day of my life yesterday. The repercussions of it, I will b dealing with for along time. Lamb Stampede and a few minutes with Sandi to pretend my life isnt what it is. Right now Ill take it. Thanks Sandi can always manage a smile watching your videos even in the worst of times.
Thank you for a #wonderful #vlog. So much action, the frost, corn, harvesting soy beans, black beans, #cornage, all the feed is now stored. Take #care. A #wonderfulfamily. Big congrats, from Australia. God does bless you all: with His grace & His Love. Your #viewers do #love you all too👏✨😀
