- Just a quick video on the different sounds older boxes made, mostly from the early to mid 90’s
I don’t really like this video because some of the boxes are incomplete/don’t look how they look now so I may remake this video. Also I have more older boxes to include!
I love these vintage alarms
Had variety back then
This was awesome

@@jp-alarms WHICH ONE
Shorrock 170.
I like how 1 has a kinetic soundbomb sound to it
Yeah that was a Ventcroft Sound Bomb 1 in that box I think.
I miss them
I like how the phone numbers are so old that the 01 isnt on them
Nice! I like the boxes with the bells in them! Nice collection! 👍
Thanks! I think bells attract more attention when ringing and it makes it sound more genuine than just a car alarm sort of noise! Although I do still really like piezo sounders etc
I like the shorrock, would love to find one one day.
Thank you for your burglar alarm,

Thanks very much!

Love them!
Great idea!

I vote no 7
That's a lot of vintage alarms. I like that.
I think that made Princess Holly cry
Nice 👍
I love alarm compilation so
0:04 my school Fire alarm
The first one sounded almost like Für Elise!
You seem to know alot about bell boxes. I wonder if you could help. I have a bell box on my house that is white with a blue bottom (not a lens, just polycarbonate). It looks similar to an ADE Sonade 2000. But at the bottok right of the white part, it has a built in always on comfort led. Do you know which one it is?
Hmm, I would need to see a picture or video of it!
Sorry for the late reply. I thought I replied to this when you first posted it but obviously not! 🤦♂️
Where did you get all these classics alarms (love the vid btw)
Thanks! A lot of my alarms come from the bins at my local alarm companies, because when they take them down from buildings, they let me have them for free.
Other alarms I have removed from buildings or are bought from eBay.
Thanks!
@@alarmmuseum can you post any to me in ireland
@@alarmmuseum where are the bins
@@LC_sirens_and_Sounders where are what bins? I’d ask the company if they’d let you take the alarms in the first place! They are not always in a bin that is accessible or outside the building
0:00 is that a sound bomb?
Yes hi
Yep, a Ventcroft SBI
@@alarmmuseum cool!
Oof, those first two actually hurt my ears
I think the old 90's alarm sounded better and more scary.
Didnt know shorrock put strobes in
0:45 Wait... THAT'S THE REDIFFUSION ADASTRAL!
Yep! I can’t remember why Shorrock had that as their logo.
Right so my alarm sounds like the new abbot one. Its 2:50am rn where i am and the alarm went off without anyone in my house realising but i did. The outdoor alarm is right next to my bedroom window and unfortunately my windows were open at the time. My dog set the alarm off. When the it went off i dont think i have ever been in fear of my life ever like i would rather be in a near death situation than have the screeching sound of one of these burning my ears whilst i am asleep
That happened to me once! Although it didn’t wake me up!
I like alarms but I only have my actual house one and a texecom 1e outside
The siren ones sound like emergency services
There still around in Ireland because I do see them on the house walls
Oh wow beautiful looks great :)) i need dome help i made a new video about a pir is it ok if u can tell me some facts about it i barely know one thing lol thanks a lot mate
Thanks! I don’t know anything about visonic stuff as I don’t collect it! I’m not interested in all that new stuff
@@alarmmuseum ah ok thank u
0:01 sounds like bulgarian railroad crossing
0:41 My school fire bell!
Surprised you havent got the British Telecom Alarm box sound... (1989-1991 model) that system was bane of my childhood
What one is that? for some reason I can’t seem to remember what BT used.
@@alarmmuseum I'll need to head to my parents at some point, it's prior to (I believe) the merger with ADT, 1990s , the key panel was green, it had Fire (🔥) Police (🚨) and Ambulance (⛑️) on the top of the key panel, panick button (white casing, single button, with white strips boarding the sides) speaker (4 slats speaker box for the landing or hallway ) red eye sensors , and Alarm box for the outside of the house...
@@sausagesauna291 I know Telecom security used the Arrowhead/Advantor DSS-680 and 685 panels but I don’t know if you’re talking about them as they are not green. I believe they also used Ademco Microtech Galaxies.
@@alarmmuseum I'll take a look once I visit my parents on Sunday , it's definitely green! (If I could only send you a photo!) It was truly the bane of my childhood
@@sausagesauna291 do you have any other way you could send me a photo if you want?
My mum was asleep and i woke her up
Burglars! Robbers!
I want a 90s alarm box
You can occasionally find them on eBay or try to visit your local alarm company to see if they have anything they recently de-installed and haven’t thrown away yet or have a look in their bin! You never know what you’ll find!
On my house we had a alarm with a bell and it hadent been used for 50 or more years and one day it randomly starts ringing so we checked the alarm pad but that was broken so we had to stab it with a screwdriver until it stopped and there is still plastic laying around from it. It looked like this 0:50
Where can I get these especially the first 5 sounds
The best way to get these is off of eBay or for free from a local alarm company.
@@alarmmuseum for free omg, I'm in ireland so I don't know, I can ask them
How much would you want for the box at 0:00
i'd sell you my blue tombstone for 1k @JP fire and security systems
Lol
Sorry, I’m not selling it
Some sound like emergency vehicles
That’s a lot of type c’s
Sounds like railroad crossing bulgaria
i love the sound of Security Burglar alarms,i have a one video in my Channel....
Thanks! Me too. I’ll have a look at that video
Can I hook a real Bell to an SAB with a tone generator?
What do you mean by bell? As in a mechanical ringing bell or a bell box? You shouldn’t as tone generators/inductors generate the alarm sound for the speaker/piezo. A bell would need a 12v output (if it is 12v).
@@alarmmuseum Yes, sorry if it was unclear, couldn't find the way to say. Yes a mechanical bell, I just can't seem to find an SAB Module anywhere with a 12v output.
@@Pepsiman1610 most SAB modules will have a 12v output. When I say SAB I mean an old SAB you’d find in an old bell box. Not a modern SAB with a tone generator like one from a modern bell box!
@@alarmmuseum Yes, thank you. I have been searching everywhere for an old SAB but nobody seems to have one.
@@Pepsiman1610 yeah I struggle to find them. Most of mine are in boxes I have taken down or got from alarm companies
0:35 Fireman Sam anyone?
0:01that my alarm but my on hi vol
What’s the Newton abbot alarm called???
It’s a Gardtec/Gardiner Technology Novagard 3C. It’s fitted by Sound & Visual Systems
@@alarmmuseum Also I just saw this today, it was like a type k bell box just had rounded off corners that made it look like a D shape and it had 6 vents on each side with a blue siren on the front. What is this? Does this have another name type like type d bell box?
@@valentinoschristofi as far as I know there is no such thing as a type K box, but it sounds like you might be referring to a box that possibly is made by a company called maximal but I don’t think that is true: ua-cam.com/video/r53cn47pbhM/v-deo.html there are 2 versions: type h (horizontal) and type c (vertical)
@@alarmmuseum I mean type c
@@alarmmuseum there are also type s which is a rectangular box a type k which is slanted at the top and another one which is a square which I can’t remember
