Castle Care-Tech Euro MERiDIAN 44+ Intruder Alarm Panel Demonstration
I’ve been meaning to film this panel for years 😂
System Components:
-Castle Care-Tech Euro MERiDIAN 44+ End Station 2.5 Amp G Standard Box
-Castle Care-Tech Euro MERiDIAN EUR-021 LCD Keypad with built-in tag reader
-Kinetic Security 16ohm extension speaker
-Generic magnetic contacts - unknown brand
I did want to get a realistic system up and running with this panel, as I have the devices that would have been installed originally with this panel by Sound & Visual Systems Ltd, but I can’t currently access most of my alarm collection at the moment so that won’t be happening. I may film my other one (Euro MERiDIAN 28) in the future but at the moment it has an issue which means detection devices don’t work on it.
Thanks for watching

    • @alarmmuseum
      @alarmmuseum Місяць тому

      Do you have a fire alarm panel? If you don’t, wiring just the fire alarm devices themselves to a plug is very dangerous and will damage your devices. You’d need a 24v DC power supply (such as two 12v sealed lead acid batteries wired together) if you have no panel. If you have a panel, you wire it from the plug into the 230v input terminals - live (brown) into live, earth (green/yellow) into earth and neutral (blue) into neutral. Make sure you put a 3 to 5 amp fuse in the plug. If you’re not confident wiring a plug or any of the other mains wiring, I recommend seeking help, as it is dangerous if not wired correctly! In terms of the plug wiring, the right way up and the pins facing away from you, the top pin is earth, the right pin is live and the left is neutral. There’s normally a diagram showing which one is which somewhere on the plug, but if not, have a look online.

    What’s the battery make/model/type? Thanks

      @@tonycummins1251 it doesn’t matter what make the battery is, but I believe inside the panel, there’s space for two 12v 2.1ah sealed lead acid batteries (connected in series to make 24v). I recommend Yuasa and Yucel ones, but any good one will be fine.

    I've just moved into a house with one of these. Just trying to figure out how to use it. This video helps.
