This demo sounds better than the final version. Overproduction steals the soul out of music.

agree 100%. You feel more realness and emotion from raw demos than completely compressed and overproduced music. It robs the raw energy from the song.
we love to hear pure instruments and singing like 20 years ago it never gets old and can't be replaced

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate Feldmann, he’s just doing his job but why does Blink still have him? This is the kind of stuff everybody wants to hear
Look at a pic of Feldy looks like the dad from an 80s sit-com when he tries to sneek into the kids school, so he has the "I miss highschool" demo pretty pegged
This sounds like something out of "when your heart stops beating" and I'm loving what I'm hearing here! You can't really hear all those guitars in the final version and that's a shame.
this sounds about like every Blink-182, and +44 and. angels and air waves song probably has something to do with following the same formula

Most of these riffs are in the final product. It's just hard to hear with all the compression the producer uses.

What’s compression? Also what’s “over polished” mean? I hear this used a lot for California and Nine. Older blink albums just had such raw guitars bass and drums.
multibulss6666 compression means, guitars & drums sound muffled & not overly exposed until box car racer
@@greekboy6506 if you still care; compression is the equalization of dynamics. so for instance, if you sing a performance into a mic, you might want to compress it as it brings the low parts of your performance to an equal level of the higher parts (volume). but if you over compress instruments, vocals etc....you get what these feldmann records sound like

this sounds way better than the album version. guitar has a seether tone to it and the drums remind me blink self-titled. should've kept it as is, without all the effects and amped up vocals.

I like Heaven final version, but i can't stop thinking what a more "raw" version would sound, i know the guys are doing what they like and i love California and NINE, but less overproduction is cool too

These riffs are there in the album version but they're all badly layered with overproduction
Sounds more like old Alkaline Trio than anything to me.
I just like the fact the you can actually hear distortion on the guitars. This song is overly layered with stuff in the background.

Wow, awesome. People should realise there is evolution in music. This is raw and emotional which worked in the 90s grunge era. But music is now polished and clean which even isn't a bad thing.
