PSA: Currently the Mossie wing bombs have a bug: They will not release in multiplayer if you spawned on the ground, but they work fine in SP (or for MP air-spawn, I think). BUT: there is a workaround. You have to press the left-side fuel jettison button (open cover first) while you are holding the bomb release down. Hopefully they will fix it soon.
and the placement of controls and gauges. the placement of the rate of climb indicator is below and behind the gunsight is just one of the oddities, but it adds to the charactor of the Mossie. its like they forgot to add something after they finished the build and thought... "oh, yeah we'll need that to make it fly... just jam it in where you can find a place... the pilot will figure it out."
1:20 I hope we can switch that off and move behind the thing ourselves. Still trying to complete the download via 3rd world bamboo line in that country the Mossie helped to liberate back in the 40s.
If I wasn’t flying 4 hours a day in school I’d fly it more lol. Don’t wanna chase away what I have to know for the mighty Cessna Skyhawks for the mossie.
when you talk about setting the fuze, you dont show where to set it, ... watched a couple of time that part and I dont get it. where do you set your fuze ?
@@CasmoTV ok I thought those two bottom switches were for bombs too. I was searching for a 4 way switch or something. But I get it now. Don’t have the mosquito yet. Will look if it’s available in the 2 weeks trial test before buying it. Thx.
For fighters it's "Weapon Release" I think the default binding is RAlt + Space. For the Mossie it's different. It's under "Trigger Button (Release Bomb), again I think the default binding is LShift + Space, but you can make the bindings anything you want.
With WWII bombing, while you try to use the tables and perfectly match the angle, speed and all other parameters, the more reliable way is to just watch your speed and feel when you some drop the bombs
Actually aiming just under the aiming reticle works the best. So as the aiming reticle passes over the target, release once the bottom of the circle passes your target i.e. just under the reticle. The center dot is for guns really.
Is the ability to do a VMC roll modeled? Its been years since I've flown a twin, but it would be interesting to see if ED put that into the module. It might be a cool video if they did.
I’ll do the best I can here, but this what I think it’s for in the WWll era. I assume a nose setting would be more like an instantaneous fuse and tail would give a delay, since it’s a little propeller spinning. Finally, arming both may give redundancy. That’s my best guess.

There are a number of switches (small rotating knobs actually) that turn on various lights. Two on the left and two on the right where the engine ignition starter buttons are. The easier option is to turn on the UV lighting, switch on the right side, third from the left bank of switches I think, you will find it. It takes a short moment to activate, then your dials will glow in the dark. There is also a UV lap on the left that you can adjust for brightness. In the end it's eyeballing, practice and experience... I just had a flight dropping bombs in multiplayer and they dropped ok. Well, they were not on the wings after I did my bomb run anyway.

Nose fuse: explosion at the impact
Tail fuse: explosion after perforation
