Good video. I see so many crashes because of rear suspension bucking riders into endos and faceplants. Those types of people definitely need to understand the relevant injuries.

Hey guys, can you start adding credit to original videos from now on including this one here that's mine? 🤨Regardless, he did have a punctured lung too, amongst fracture in collarbone and fingers. I agree with your comments and have been rinsed countlessly for helmet removal, but hindsight is 2020. It was a split second decision with factor of slightly looser helmet and the fact he made a funny comment as I was doing it - signalling I could go ahead. Regarding for cause of the crash itself, it wasn't the seat, but skill and lapse of concentration. He was never meant to jump anything that day and only roll over features.

I have a friend that broke several ribs and punctured his lung in what we think was a low speed crash. That scares the crap out of me.
My question would be, is chest protection in crashes like this useful? Is this something that something that we should all be using or is it just an "anti-shark medallion" or volcano insurance?
(Full disclosure I have not been bitten by a shark since I started wearing my medallion. Best $5,000 I ever spent).

I feel like the general consensus is patient comfort nowadays, right? You won't necessarily make a spinal injury worse by manipulating the patient slowly such as removing their helmet? This is not a definitive statement but a genuine question. Thanks!
