- A motorcycle journey late August - beginning September 2018 to Hovden, Norway and the area south of Hardangervidda.
This first of two episodes includes the travel from Skive area, Denmark to the rented "cabin" in Hovden, Norway and a fantastic visit at the hydro-electric power plant; Vemork.

It is funny and also a little sad to see how we change with the aging. Look at the late supper they have 11.38. Perfect gentlemen, eating and taking it easy after a day in the saddle. Now imaging they all got 30-40 years younger...That supper could have been something completely different :-)

Love to ride from Oslo to Trodla Tysdal in August. Thanks for sharing!
You'll need pretty good tires to ride all the way in to Trodla Tysdal, but by parking the bike in the other end of the lake and use a boat, or park at Kleivaland and hike, you'll at last get yourself in 😁 Men med etternavn Tysdal så regner eg med du alt visste dette hehe 😉

It is not with any company at all. I guess you will be able to find companies arranging tours in Norway, but it is quite easy to do it yourself. Many groups on social media are very generous in sharing experiences and providing recommendations.

Look at the date lol would have been round the world by now
Tho the Norwegian Saboteurs damaged the Norsk Hydro heavy Water plant in WW2, it was back up & running within a few months. They later sunk a ferry carrying a heavy water shipment in Rail cars, again the heavy water supply was only marginally affected. The German Atomic Program really never got off the ground, so all that Norwegian loss of life & Village damage was essentially for nothing. Another wasted British effort.
I'm not sure those who faced the possibility of a Nazi atomic bomb thought it a waste of time. But then, they didn't have the luxury of hindsight!
