you could have been using the auto shotgun since it's in CSS and CSGO/CS2 as the Leone YG1265 and XM1014, respectively.

There is a great mod for SG and MP5 that fixes the animations to be like other l4d2 animations. L4D1+2 remix by Querentin, aside of all base weapons it also was made for sg and mp5 with model tweaks to make them 100% inline with l4d2 other weaps.
