Back in my day (the 70's) we could go through Needles tunnel and drive over the bridge, you ended up near Winter Park. Is sad to see the tunnel is no more.

I went part ways up that road for a geocache many years ago. I was in a stock Subaru Outback.

Drove the whole route in the late 80’s the needles eye tunnel wasn’t open for long 😢
