How has your experience been with this car? Love it, Hate it or eh?
@@Drewlicious Its been good, I use it most days to get to work etc. I love the smooth V8. Running costs are high and the repair bills have been higher than I would have thought. Overall I am enjoying it :)
@@CarsofGlasgow Thank you for that. I knew the running/operating cost would be higher than average for sure. What scares me is the repair cost on the most basic repairs yet alone something above average repair. Does your car break down much or how often per year do you need to take it in for repair? -Not including regular maintenance of course. Thanks!
@@Drewlicious Mine has need 4 tyres, brakes all round, a new Amp for the stereo (which was expensive), fan belt was changed as well as some welding on the exhaust. (On top of regular maintenance)

Have a 2002 w 40k on it. Having work on it now. Timing belt water pump etc. plan to keep it for a while
Why so many problems for a car with only 40K on it? My 2006 SC430 with 89K on it doesn't have those problems.
@@killseacocks it’s not a problem rather a preventative maintenance as suggested by Lexus. Replace the belt at 90K miles or 10 years whichever comes first. I have an 06 with 70K miles and I’m about to replace the timing belt, water pump. Better safe than sorry
Can't believe this car has 120k miles; it looks as if it has 100k miles less. Very well taken care of.

I always wanted a Lexus SC430, I was looking at one for my second car. But I instead overpaid 40% on a shiny Mitsubishi Eclipse... Trust me worst mistake of my teen years!

They didn’t make more because they were underpowered. As a result, check out how much parts cost lol since no one has them the few parts that are out there are over priced.
It's not a race car or sports car. It's a luxury cruiser so it's not underpowered !! Parts are expensive for any car that cost $70K,foolie !!

@@christianarreola9659 10k is for the cheapest high mileage ones u imbecil. These easily average 20k and up. Either ways though it's a better car than you'll ever have 🤷♂️
underpowered? Yeah, I guess. A 2006 Camry V6 makes almost the same hp, but with less weight, so it accelerates to 60 faster, and takes way less gas (regular instead of premium). And yes, Lexus parts cost 2X what Toyota parts cost. But the big difference is that you can get a Miata with a retractable hardtop for the same $$$, but it is more fun to drive, and actually has more truck space with the top folded down.

It has all the practicality of a Mazda Miata, but with half the fuel economy, and none of the driving fun. That's why the prices of those cars are so low.
