However, the Automatic Repair Loop nonsense is ridiculous. I'm wondering if a Win8. Series DVD is required and suggest that Windows 7 IMO was better. 😆 Technicians unite!

I have a hp victus gaming laptop.....my windows 11 did an update and locked my pin due to a security update and it won't allow me to use or reset my pin....it throws error code and says unable to recover try later and it's a brand new computer 2 months old! During the reset process, the system is restored from files located on the computer, and if some element of Windows was previously damaged, a process error may occur.

Force restart your computer, start the process from the beginning and at one of the steps select cloud download of files to get a new Windows from the Internet, but not local download from files on your computer.

@@ipMalik i tried every other method including downloading and installing from cloud also. But it didn't workout in my case. Shift+power this solution only gave me the new windows 11 os. I reinstalled windows 11 by pressing shift button along with power button. Now the problem is if i turn on power button not pressing shift then it will go to recovery screen. If i press both power button +shift then it will go to windows.

It’s been a year, but my Asus laptop automatically downloaded an update, but it won’t install. Blue screen, on for hours: “Keep your pc on until this is done. Installing update 1 of 1…” tried shutdown, restart , F9, etc. nothing works, same screen all the time. Suggestions?
Try pressing and holding the power button on your laptop until it turns off.
If this does not help, turn off the laptop, remove the battery from the laptop and after 5 minutes insert it back.
Then turn it on, and if Windows does not boot, enter the recovery program and find the Uninstall updates section in the menu.
