hi Dougie, I'm working in a SharePoint Online Admin role from 5 years and I had wasted so much time not trying to advance my skills, this video was so informative for me and I think the next steps would be to either learn the Power Platform or the SPFx, or should it be both? Which path would have more scope in future? and how should I plan my career path? Hoping you could provide some guidance, thanks.
I personally believe there is more opportunity with power platform but also SPFX has its place. It depends on your knowledge of programming already i guess. If you can write JavaScript SPFX should be easy to adopt. Hope that makes sense
@@Dougie_Wood I did love coding, had some experience in VB and other but it was all in my academic years, more than 5 years back, now I have to restart my passion again, can you ley me know what are the certifications available for SharePoint and other relevant techs. Thank you so much again
A lot of people have different interpretations of this role. Often I see it as a contractors type role, someone who comes in to help scope out an implementation of a SharePoint environment.

You need to reduce the amount of items in your view. You could apply a filter to only show documents from this month for example.

To be a SharePoint developer you should either know how to produce either low code or pro code solutions.
Low code = power platform
Pro code = SPFX
