  • Two Warminster sky-watching veterans revisit 'Star Hill'....
The late 1960s saw the Wiltshire town of Warminster become famous for sightings of unidentified flying objects - UFOs - mostly seen by sky-watchers who flocked to the area hoping to glimpse alien spacecraft.
Cradle Hill, to the north of the town, became their primary sky-watching site but some discovered an alternative dark but quieter area to the east of the town. They named it Star Hill and it remained a favourite sky-watching location for over a decade.
Half a century on, Star Hill is virtually forgotten in UFO history - but two former sky-watchers take a trip down memory lane.

Been to Warminster many times over the years, including the odd visit to Cradle Hill. Read about Starr Hill in Arthur Shuttlewood's Warminster books, but never made it out there, so a treat to see it now in your well presented video. Many thanks for posting.

Lovely to see again, I love the area and had an interesting experience there and also while staying overnight at Stonehenge car park. My interest in UFO's have always remained, although working more with making films of paranormal investigations these days. Thanks for sharing :)
