Video is Titled : This is how you do a very advanced stance mix up with Chun - Li in Street Fighter 6

This is so good! Thank you, I didn't know you could cancel the stance exit animation
Man Chun definitely has more stuff than the surface shows. This character will take time to shine in the hands of pros
definitely
I saw Oil King doing this in some replay VODs, but wasn't sure how he was doing it. Never knew about stance cancelling right away by inputting it again. Great find!
I think is best chun li have in this game which is very much. Thanks for sharing!
This guy forever dropping gems!
Love your content on chun, very detailed and i like that you use your voice to explain. Ive seen some other content and while its informative sometimes just reading the words cr mk 5hp plus this plus that can get a lil overwhelming.
I’ve been on SF5 and now SF6.
I migrated to Chun in 5 from Ken. Ken looks awesome now but I can’t leave Chun.
With saying all of that how have I only just found your page????
Subscribed. You’re extremely clear. And I will work on your teachings. Thank you.
Diamond Chun who randomly came across your page and I just want to say thank you for all your work, man. Chun has it harder than anyone else in this game, in my opinion, so our dedication will have to be that much more intense. My goal is to hit Master, and however difficult that may be with Chun, I'm glad I have fellows like you on this journey as well. 🤟🏾
I can assure that the execution barrier to do two 214 motions with 110 frames of advantage isn't something that will make you have to work exponentially harder than other characters
@@MDToboggan I'm sorry, do you mind telling me your rank and what main you use before I take your opinion seriously? It's usually the Gold and belows who use the braindeads or UngaBungas that try to pass judgment like you did. So I'm curious.
@@Saxandfifths I just hit plat 5 with Cammy and I just did my placement matches and got plat 4 with Kimberly. You're also the one passing the most judgement since you believe your character is what's holding you back compared to other people who play so called Unga bunga characters, Chun-li in the grand scheme of fighting games in general isn't that hard in this game and I guarantee you have to work literally the same as every other character aside from like Honda.
@@MDToboggan I actually never said she was holding me back, as I'm steadily moving through Diamond. I hope you play better than you comprehend, cause I said she's arguably the character you must work most on to get equal returns compared to others at the highest level. Even Pros like Punk, Brian F, Mago, Nephew, the whole Topanga squad, Daigo, iDom, JUSTIN WONG, Mura, Sako have ALL said she's likely the hardest to master in this game.
I've been playing SF for 30 years, mained multiple characters, including multiple variations of Chun and this is the hardest she's ever been. Having used many characters to at least a Diamond level, I feel I can confidently say that Chun is top 3 most difficult characters to use in 6 so far, with 'Sim, Blanka, Dee Jay, and JP (Kim to a lesser extent) being in that conversation as far as playing them at the HIGHEST LEVEL. Not the general public/casual level that 99% of players will never surpass......
Until you go into Ranked WITH CHUN, and actually try to execute High-level-- keyword "HIGH-LEVEL"-- Chun strategies at Diamond and above, please know that your opinion means nothing. Especially when you're just a Platinum Cammy. You trying to minimize Chun's stance cancels and its intricacies down to a couple of motions is hilarious. 😂 Scrub talk.
@@Saxandfifths lol I could probably get Diamond with Chun-li in a week buddy, she's way harder in 5 from her basic bnbs alone like late sbk and stand light normals into sbk, and she's not even the hardest character in the game as Dhalsim and JP are both literally harder tham Chun-li. JP is easy to rank woth because people don't know the MU, but that doesn't mean he isn't more difficult. Also they're referring to her being difficult for people like rookie to gold not diamond anybody in diamond shouldn't have a problem playing Chun-li, I could easily get diamond with Cammy and I guarantee with the same amount of games or fewer I could get diamond with Chun-li
Underrated channel. Very good tech.
First saw this on Japan's pro Moke(もけ)'s rank matches in late June.
Bro thank you so much, I didn't know you could cancel out of the stance canel. This is amazing tech. Subscribed :)
Yesssiirrrr I’m so glad someone finally made a video ab the stance into stance I found myself doing this randomly when playing against some friends and they weren’t ready for it ☠️
This is great! High execution but not inhumanly difficult, I’ll definitely need to lab this because I’m on my Ranked run to Master (trying to reach Diamond now) and I need more options, hehe. Thank you for this! 💪
Just keep at it, usually if you play enough you can reach master. I have a dozen of videos on chun li tech and combos if you need more. She's a difficult but very fun and rewarding character to learn.
Oooooo I’m going to practice this to elevate my Chun-Li gameplay! Good stuff!
Started learning Chun-Li last night, your videos are wonderful
this is super awesome thanks a lot for going in depth! i’ve seen pro player sako use this tech as well!
thats why i think chun-li is the best character of the game, I've been watching a lot of videos of techs and even after 2 months people are still discovering new chun-li stuff
Well, I found some stuff about her that definitely could use some fine tuning in the next balance patch. Which is what my next video is going to be about.
Chun li main rejoice. This looks so powerful, thanks for sharing
Loving the videos man. Liked and subbed. Picked up chun yesterday after bouncing around the cast wondering why I’m not falling in love with the game. I’ve now fallen in love with the game this character is a blast. Will be watching all the tech.
I actually saw this in CEO and started trying it out, blocked someone's EX reversal with it after doing the overhead earlier in the set and it felt sooo good.
Thanks a bunch for finding all this tech
Also i think i have seen one or two chun players go for the latter mix variation
Still it's good that it is available in video format to learn now
Wow this is sick!
Thank you for the tech!

I was looking for good stance overhead setups. You're the man.
I think I've seen xyli do this set up. Either way great video giving additional context!
urgh this is so cool. thanks for putting this out there.
Amazing guide! thank you so much I'm still trying to the combos but qbc+P>LK is kinda hard for me to pull out but I'm still trying cause i enjoy playing her since ages.
still desperately waiting for Chun-Li's Alpha costume. :)
Itll be awhile before i can manage this with chun li but it sure is some cool stuff
I've done that cancel and canceled it but never thought to use it in a corner setup or look for a corner setup
Thanks for saving me the lab time brutha.
Thanks. I 've been seeing MOKE doing this I was actually wondering why he cancels the stances for low . now I know.
I saw a lot of replays of valmaster doing this effectively but couldn't figure out how he got so much OKI. Turns out half of the stancce animation can be canceled, thank you! I feel like there are a lot of animations in this game that are MUCH longer than the moves actually are, like pretty much everyone's wakeup animation is actionable MUCH sooner. They'll never fix it, but I wish they would. I have to memorize frames of animation instead of using the animation itself to tell me when I'm actionable which is the animation's entire point!
The recovery bar (small bsr above the character) in the training mode indicates when you can act during a moves recovery. As soon as it turns green you can cancel the recovery of that move. But yea you are right. You still have to learn the data for every move seperately.
That's 🎉 what I'm talking about yeah!
ooo this is grimey. i love it
I demand more chun li videos now
Thanks so much for the info! Chun li is my main so I’m looking for all of the help I can get!
Much appreciated, this will help a lot, since most players just love to mash reversals when they're cornered, and with this, we have this cover too.
Keep doing such great work bud, It's really great all the insights you're doing.
thank youuuu i will be using this
Was already aware of it but thanks anyway
Bless you brother
# chun follow up after tensho kicks corner
This is horrifying to consider 🤯
nice, thanks
so dirty! I'm stealing this
I did the stance mixup against a blanka (totally on purpose, totally not because I was mashing), but forgot to actually attack and died.
can you make a tutorial about chun li neutral game (tools, decisions, air game, etc)? i feel so much difficulty while i play her in neutral, and i think is that my most issue because her is the only char with i have this problem :/
Yes, I was thinking of making more beginner focused guides for her soon.
hey i think it would b a great video to make a matchup chart on tier list maker
might be too early for that one, but definitely a video that I might consider doing.
why not just block in stance against the reversal? can't do the cancel into throw ngl
As someone who’s new to fighting games, what’s the difference between this and just walking up for oki and threatening stance HP, throw, block, or a low instead? Is it just a trick to show that you’re going into stance?
all options are meaty, you select between overhead, low or throws while still having the option to block if you read a reversal from your enemy.
The thing about this setup is it seems like you are commiting to offense on oki but you can still decide to not do anything which makes it more likely for the enemy to mash out.
@@king_lvr in theory, if the opponent knows this trick, then it doesn’t really have any benefit over our usual oki, right?
@@notnotricharmander well technically in both examples they have to guess. So yea, simple oki is still good enough.
@@notnotricharmanderwell you can't threaten stance HP and throw at at the same time without the double stance cancel since you can't throw while in stance. Also this is completely autotimed, stance HK, throw, lows and highs all hit meaty without any manual timing. Walking up and just doing these moves raw requires you to perfect different timings for each option.
There’s a reason Chun li doesn’t have a throw loop…. She’s too busy beating you up to even bother with all these mix ups and combos.
Her new mix up stuff is cool, but I'd genuinely prefer the easy damage throw loops provide. Easy stuff tends to be more consistent and it would be super good for her cause she has amazing walk speed which makes shimmies very easy to do.
For the easy one, why mash jab whiff instead of just timing the stance mk?
because the whiffed jab auto times it.
whiffing normals are used to auto time the meatys its called frame killing
I'm hard stuck gold 5 right now and I suck at stance =(
maining this character right now is a long-term investment keep at it
its ok you got many years to go the game will be here for a while
It really is a great set-up, thank you for sharing it but why is it that hard to do omg
She really has a lot of specifically hard stuff for no reason. For example, try punishing deejay's crouching mk point blank (she only has 1 way to punish it, try to find which).
@@king_lvr Yoo what ? I litteraly tried every move and the only thing Chun-Li can do to punish DeeJay’s cMK is a drive reversal ? (Is there any other move ? Like drive reversal is really the only move where I had a true punish)
@@pachikujo yes only 1 and it's obnoxiously hard. Micro walk 1 frame into LK then ex lighting legs. if you do it properly you are going to get a punish counter.
@@king_lvr Wow okay that's crazy lol ty for the punish I'll try it if I really struggle against him
I wonder if canceling the stance exist animation early is intentional, it certainly looks janky but I can't wait to try this out
I do think it is. For example if your combos end with medium spinning bird kick you are presented with the same scenario you can pick between stance overhead or stance - stance cancel low/throw. It seems way too conviniently timed for it to be an accident.
No thanks
