@@NotValkTCG yo this is prob a dumb question but how do reference tracks work? i understand the concept but how does it equate to completely different melodies and drumkits on two different songs?
@@techromance it is about the frequencies that it highlights or reduces, how wide, the dynamics and how loud it is. It has nothing to do with the melodies or drumkits. hope this helps.
@@danielgarzaromusic i guess i could have been more clear but, i meant where the peaks in those factors would lie on the frequency scale. like how one cymbals peak might be 8000 and another cymbal could have its peak around 9000 same for melodies
You're not mastering - you're using mastering software to mix. Why don't you mix to a stereo track by getting all your eq and Levels sorted and then *MASTER* the mixdown?
exactly, but now in days they mix into their masters for a loud ready mix.. I still bounce my track out import into a stereo track in to wavelab and use izotope there.. mastering inside your session cause micro jitter underneath the hood softwares tap out. using a mastering daw with izotope provides an ultrasound perspective in your music but of course its not for everyone. @@vzbeatz1706 That isn't mastering. From a not boomer. There is a huge difference between throwing it on the master buss and using it as a mastering tool on a mixed stereo track. Try both, do one on the master buss and then do one without it and the import into a new session and apply same settings and you will see there is something very different happening. I was guilty of this early on and once I switched to mastering a mix all my mastered tracks were more consistent.
iZotope AI has often been a little off for me as well. Good review of the differences and features. One note: wearing a hat over your ears struck me as odd; like watching someone wear a wetsuit into the shower to check out the new shower head. I've worn hoodies or hats in my studio on occasion. When I take off the hood or hat, the sound is WAY different. Especially the high end.
Hi! Mr. "Simulation" Could you please tell me what DAW you are using to create your songs & if it's user user-friendly and "not complicated to use"? I want to thank you in advance and look forward to hearing back from you.🤔
You are not weird. I don't like Ozone also. It makes my songs sound "plastic" , digital somehow. Whatever emulation plugin I put before Ozone to make the song sound analog as possible, the Ozone make it sound bad
An easy user interface with LANDR with a fast-paced life. Whoever can make an Ozone 11 training tool can make me more convinced and even get them more money. It looks like LANDR wins for those who are involved in "fast-based" living. 🎑 Yet, the RX 10 by Ozone is worth it to clean up stuff.
@@Алекс-й7х4ю that depends on where on UA-cam he is submitting. I put -7.5 LUFS tracks on my channel and they play great. (это зависит от того, где на UA-cam он публикует. Я выкладываю на свой канал треки -7,5 LUFS, и они отлично воспроизводятся.)
With your eyes open, Ozone seems more complete and with more "possibilities" at first. But with your eyes closed and just listening, Landr sounds warmer and prettier. On the other hand ozone sounds colder and sharper than perhaps sounds better in industrial music productions. For my ears, Landr.
@@MichaelJohn-xl9zn I use master plan its a very good mastering plugin i have compared it with ozone etc and i always go back to master plan its a good choice
I tried both - ozone 11 for the win for me
ozone 11 got it for me. the fact i can import a song and it can try to recreate the mastering of that song towards mind is mind blowing

did no one else notice the screens for ozone and landr are reversed in the intro
Oh dang, I didn't even notice this 🤣😱 Good eye!
Love Landr mastering and landr overall great! no issues so far! great video!
Aye glad you liked it! 😄
Thanks for the love!

I was thinking something similar

Is there any sonic difference between usingthe App and sending in your 48k/24 bit mix to one's Landr Account?
I just bought Landr Mastering and I love it! Ozone did a really good job too.
Glad you enjoyed the video 😄
Cheers Andrew!
Both sounds pretty darn good to me. I’ve got ozone 11 but might give landr a whirl
Agreed! both are very comparable with the right amount of experience
Ozone won hands down
That was my preference 😄
Was waiting for this! Might even convince me to upgrade from 10 to 11 of Ozone. We'll see. *gets popcorn*
Let me know what you think! 😄

He uses FL Studio, its not as user-friendly but you can get to understand it if you take 1-2 months time!
Thanks! with ozone 11 a lot is possible with your creativity
I've stopped using Ozone 11. Seems to kill all my mixes. (I don't like Gulffoss either) Maybe I'm weird.

I have and use both!
Landr "Low" is not low end, but rather low mids. (Had the Pro plan for half a year)
Oh damn that song is epic, what's the name, is it released anywhere?
Ha. You're mastering with a hat over your ears!??
Missing high freq on your final production? blame it on the built in ear to ear pop filter of the headsets 😛

Literally going through this right now and I bought both lol
The drumz and 808 sounded better with ozone11
Beard attached to the hat?
Shoot. Just now realizing that I should have been mixing through a quarter inch of cotton my whole life. What was I thinking...
lol
I liked ozone 10 ai however ozone 11 you just need to dial a few modules back like upwards compression and clarity
Totally agree 👍 both are very capable with the right amount of patience and practice
Can't go wrong with Ozone!!!
Agreed 👍 it’s great 😊
What i really hate is when i mastered a track and put it on youtube, youtube messes up the audio and you have a shit track again. so why even bother.
Это изза того что вы не придерживаетесь LUFS и TrasHold balance

listen to the Russian guy lol
"This is due to the fact that you do not adhere to LUFS and TrasHold balance"
FL Studio never looked as good as in your videos. I seriously thought it was a different DAW
Useful 🎉🎉 thanks
Off topic, The more I hear the song the more creepy it gets. 😅😂
😂😂😂
Bro is wearing low pass filter on his head while mastering 🙈

For my ears, Landr.
I liked the song❤ my intuition says ozone but my wallet says landr or The God Particle
i like LANDR ✌
Same 💯
Those trap drums do not fit
master plan is another good plugin and almost as good and way cheaper.

Much too fast. Speak slower...
Headphones must be worn on fur. hat! It's better to hear))
