Definitely a classic vacuum cleaner, I believe at this time too Panasonic had a similar design with there upright vacuum cleaners.
Yes there are some panasonics that look exactly like this
@@PerformanceReviews thank you for letting me know, I thought so!
As far as I know, this machine is essentially a Panasonic Jet-Flo that was manufactured under license by Riccar. So you are correct.
Yes, my I bought my mom a Panasonic version this vacuum back in 1973.
HP2000/HP2100 were the first vacuums made by Zeng Hsing in Taiwan for Riccar. These would be around 1986 or so.
They were basically copies of the Panasonic MC661/MC672 which Panasonic manufactured for Riccar in the early 80's and sold under the model numbers HP20 HP21. Later models were HP25/HP30 (Panasonic MC5130/MC6210) The Panasonic Riccar models were all Maroon in color.
I still have a Riccar 2200 in my garage still going strong that came from that era.
A very nice classic riccar.
The old riccar machines were still the best (in my opinion). They've become way too expensive and way over-engineered... ie: tandem air technology.
Great vid, had many of these (and the Panasonic Commercial Jet-Flo) in my fleet years ago.
We still have one that’s working well!
I remember there was a super early model Riccar upright that was essentially a rebadged Panasonic Jet Flo 6200 series.
I like mine! Good machine and cleans well
Nice Video! I found a 2150L at an estate sale the other day, runs great, just need a new bag and secondary filter.
Didn’t have the R30 long before I had problems with it twice. You know that I have no tolerance for such things so now I have a Sebo G4
my grandma bought one new and used it for years then found a green kenmore at a goodwill for $15 . i assume she didnt like the 2 belt system on the hp-30 has a flat belt and a hoover rd . for the clutch would wear out soon . but it still works i have it in my collection.
those vacs are built to last
very similar to the panasonic jetflo and the sharp twin energy vacuum.
I've got a faulty thumb switch on a Riccar 4812. It has poor contact. You have to hold your thumb on it to keep it to stay on. I'd like to see how to get to that switch to make repairs.
I’ve been on the hunt to find a Riccar 2150
My patient has one it works great it just quit working no power it won’t turn on
I was thinking about buying a Riccar r40p but I’m still not sure if I should get it I know there is Sebo and Miele but the riccar looks like it performs better
What years were these machines made? I have an 8955 that I bought new shortly before they discontinued them and I see a lot of similarities.
What year did you purchase and have you had to replace or repair the motor yet? Thanks
A 1980s Refurbished Riccar with a HEPA bag :)
