@@andrew_li I agree with you. It's a very short motif to be especial to the hymn, but maybe the chord progression also played a role to contribute to resemble the Soviet hymn, and also the tempo.

I bought the sheet music and are currently learning it. The sheet music is great, a bit more complicated than my level but I am chipping away at it because I love it. A very good purchase and only 10 dollars, very worth it.
I just wanted to note that I bought the sheet music thinking it would have full compositions of the five songs. Instead it was a five page sheet music that adds up to the six minute piece as seen in the video. It is indeed beautiful and I am grateful to have such beautiful music to practice but I have to say it was disappointing to pay $10 for five pages of sheet music. Part of it was my misinterpretation of what the sheet music would come with but I wish the description would be more clear. I hope no one else has to experience this.
