So sad Ken couldn't be there to enjoy it in person. The Pro Football H.O.F. BLEW THIS ONE!! Stabler should have been inducted years before it happened. RIP SNAKE! Thank you for the memories. You'll never be forgotten!
The Snake! The greatest nickname for one of the all time greats! He should have received this honor when he was still alive. Holly smokes watching Snake's grandkids huging Fred was beautiful!
You are exactly right and he should've went as soon as he was eligible. You know how ol Snake was , he may have Snaked about half the voter's girlfriend's and wives..when he was single...The Foley Football Flinger , The Snake Stabler we won't see another like him. RIP KENNY STABLER you may be GBNF !!
I'm a Die Hard Broncos fan, and I have such a love for both Madden and Snake Stabler! I'm convinced that Heaven now has Football with both Madden and Stabler up there.
Kenny was the swagger king of the QB. He threw darts, on time and on target. Watching him throw to Freddy , Cliff and Casper was like watching a ballet.
My favorite player of all time. He truly bonded my family as we watched our Raiders of the 1970's. "Snake" you have no idea that not only my family bonded over u and the Raiders but also many other families. Thank you for all the comebacks on Sunday's.
It was awesome to witness. You knew he was going to drive the field to win late, the other team knew it. The will to win. He was Mr. Cool in the clutch. Never seen anything close to it since.
As an old Dolphin fan, watching that crazy end over end waffle pass, in the sea of hands game, still gives me nightmares, costing them a fourth straight S.B.
I'm from Pittsburgh and the only player and team the steel curtain feared was snake and the raiders RIP snake always respected u even as a steeler fan. Way to long for hall of fame nod
@@williamtate6268 Yes as a Steelers fan I came to respect Stabler & all the great Raiders. Imagine these QBs if they hadn’t taken so many hits. They would’ve had much longer careers where they were still excellent until the very end.
I was 6 years old in 1972 my dad and my oldest brother both had season tickets to the Oakland Raiders so I got to go to every home game from 1972 up until the year they went to Los Angeles. One of my favorite games was when the Oakland Raiders played the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night and I got to watch Ken Stabler and Terry Bradshaw battle it out in Oakland.
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my login password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Dallas Gannon i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Rest in peace snake you made it into the Hall of Fame where you belong now you with Bear Bryant I can hear you all say roll tide roll we all miss you snake we all still miss you Bear Bryant and we all love you
He personified the name Raider, as well as Snake. A clever, sneaky pirate. He could always find a way to get it done. One of the most colorful and interesting as well as skillful players ever. Unforgettable. Miss him.
LONG OVER DUE! I feel so blessed to have seen him play in a pre season game in the summer of 1976 in Tempe, Arizona against the then St. Louis Cardinals. Such an incredible athlete and "The Guy" that is #1 in the hearts of Raiders fans everywhere. Rest in peace Snake!♡
God Bless the "SNAKE" !! The only injustice is He was inducted After He passed!! He was as tough and clutch as they come. In the mid 1980's I asked Bubba Smith his opinion of Stabler. His response I will never forget "HE IS THE TRUTH" Bubba said to me. He did not have to say anything else.
they call jim otto mr raider. ken stabler was the COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE. as an original OAKLAND RAIDERS fan and supporter. dear kenny, we miss you and we love you. you are now gods starting quarterback. KEN THE SNAKE STABLER. one of the best quarterbacks that ever lived.
The thing about Stabler, more than any other QB I have seen, you always felt the team had a chance until the end. He was the first and perhaps the best of the 4Q comeback, at a time when offenses were not designed for it.
Thanks for the memories, Kenny...John Madden said it all. Nothing else needs to be said...Glad you are in the NFL HOF #12. Better late than never...THROW DEEP BABY!
It's about friggin time. I can't believe Jim Plunkett, Cliff Branch, Lester Hayes, and Tom Flores aren't in the HOF yet...especially Branch and Flores. Jim Marshall of the Vikings should've got in 25-30 years ago too just like Stabler. The HOF is a joke
Nobody better with 2 minutes on the clock and down by 6. Nobody. If you never saw it, you wouldn't understand. We were spoiled by greatness. A shame he didn't get enshrined while still with us. But that's the NFL. Always getting their digs in on the one team and owner that defied the League. Al had the NFL by the balls as Comissioner of the American Football Conference. He had all the lucrative TV contracts locked up for the AFC and was ready to bust up the NFL, then along came Lamar Hunt who brokered a merger deal behind (then Commisioner of the AFC) Al's back.
I was fortunate to see Kenny on the field at Alabama but also on the field in the NFL. It was a tragedy for this not to have happened in Kenny's lifetime but I'm thankful it did occur in Coach Madden's. Someone else rightly pointed out the HoF got this one wrong and I couldn't agree more. Lov ya Snake!
Stabler epitimized what a competitor is and his play always gave you hope and you always felt there was hope if there was time on the clock. he always found a way to get it done...it was beautiful...about time he was recognized...next is tommy jackson...roger craig, etc...
I'm so glad have been a raider fan since 1968 and sold malts and sodas at the coliseum, while living five blocks away and having true earlier years signed memorabilia.... I saw a lot of these games personally year after year.... Generation Blanda, Lamonica, Stabler and Plunket alumni... John Madden, speaks for himself.. Carr...Hmmmm!
The first time I saw Ken Stabler, he gets on the field, and the Sportscaster says, "George Blanda says Ken Stabler has a lot of potential." Here is what Ken Stabler did, from Wikipedia, the first time I saw him: "Stabler made his first regular season appearance as a Raider in . He first attracted attention in the NFL in a 1972 playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. After entering the game in relief of a flu-ridden Daryle Lamonica, he scored the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter on a 30-yard scramble." Wow! They actually showed that here in this video! I remember hearing he was nicknamed, "The Snake," in High School for a touchdown run winding down the field. The "Sea of Hands" game against the Miami Dolphins, 28-26, I will always remember that passes Ken Stabler made in that game. Sad, he had to die before they figured it out!
With only 2 minutes or less on the game clock in the 4th Quarter of a big game, there are only 3 QBs that I would want to drive my team down the field to score the winning TD and they are Ken "Snake" Stabler, Roger Staubach and Joe Montana. And of those three, my first choice would be Stabler! Three huge playoff wins (which really should have been 4 but for the freakish , illegal "Immaculate Reception" play in 1972 by the Steelers) against the Dolphins in 1974, the Patriots in 1976 and the Colts in 1977. Frenchy Fuqua allegedly went into the Raiders' locker room in Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh after Oakland lost to the Steelers in that 1972 playoff game and admitted to the Oakland players that Bradshaw's desperation pass hit him not Oakland's Jack Tatum on that play!
I'm glad The Snake Stabler got in the Hall of Fame he should have been in there long time ago. Now what about Cliff Branch , Jack Tatum, Lester Hayes, Rod Martin, etc.
Bob Griese also won 2 Superbowls in the 70,s. Went to the Superbowl 3 times in a row. Went undefeated in 1972. He also belongs with Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach and Ken Stabler. Nevertheless Snake you were topps. R.I.P.
So many great football and baseball players are overlooked for the Hall of Fame by writers, while the players are still alive and kicking. I don't know who picks the football players but guys that never played the game still pick the baseball players. It's a terrible shame Kenny Stabler was not able to give his own acceptance speech to show how grateful he was to Bear Bryant and John Madden. The only quarterback to ever start for both coaching legends and he died before they let him in the Hall.
I hear Dandy Don Meredith from Dallas is not in the HOF. Is that true?! I am a Steelers fan but seriously I think if that is true, then he deserves to get in. Any thoughts?
This kind of stuff kills you, doesn't it. Lol. As a college QB, I got the rare chance to scrimmage, sweats only, with the Raiders, some of whom I spoke with face to face. It was a trilling day for a young man.
I Think 🤔 Its A Crying Ass Shame That The NFL Waited Till The Man Died Before He Was Voted Into The Hall Of Fame When Other Great Player's From His Era Have Been In Since 1989 Like Terry Bradshaw ! To Me It's A Disgrace On The Part Of The NFL That Ken Stabler Wasn't Enshrined Into The Hall Of Fame Years Earlier While The Poor Man Was Alive I Watched His Entire Career ! The NFL Has Gone Downhill Just Like The Rock-n-Roll Hall Of Shame, Which Was Started For Rock Stars And Disgraced When They Started Putting People In There Like Madonna A Pop Star And Even Hip Hop Artist Yet There's Still Many True Great ROCK Bands That Are Still Not In There ! I Agree With Ted Nugent And Gene Simmons Both Of Whom Care Now Nothing At All About The Rock-n-Roll Hall Of SHAME !
Snake's storytelling would've been one of the very few HOF speeches where the crowd wanted an encore
Ken Stablers HOF induction was way over due. Quarterbacks of the 70,s were tough as nails
@Jim Shepard the truest of travesties ... shame on HOF ... not anyone more deserving than these 2 & include John Madden !!!
When John Madden talks about Ken Stabler you can tell how much he truly felt about him.
They loved, respected and trusted one another.
So sad Ken couldn't be there to enjoy it in person. The Pro Football H.O.F. BLEW THIS ONE!! Stabler should have been inducted years before it happened. RIP SNAKE! Thank you for the memories. You'll never be forgotten!
Just like the other hall of fames. They seem to get a perverse kick out of posthumously screwing the Legends.
Absolutely the same case with Cliff Branch too.
I was shocked! I assumed that he was already in the Hall.
Yes
As with Cliff Branch, this was beyond appalling.
The Snake! The greatest nickname for one of the all time greats! He should have received this honor when he was still alive. Holly smokes watching Snake's grandkids huging Fred was beautiful!
IT TOOK WAY TOO LONG FOR SNAKE TO GO INTO CANTON !!! WATCHING THE GRAND SNAKES WAS HEART WARMING. THX SNAKE !!! R I P
You are exactly right and he should've went as soon as he was eligible. You know how ol Snake was , he may have Snaked about half the voter's girlfriend's and wives..when he was single...The Foley Football Flinger , The Snake Stabler we won't see another like him. He was Mr. Cool in the clutch. Never seen anything close to it since.
Stabler played in some of the Craziest Games of All Time .....one of kind!
The Holy roller game against the Chargers comes to mind...
Playing The Steelers was like looking in the mirror.
Funny as a raider fan I hated Terry but now I love him.
@@williamtate6268 Yes as a Steelers fan I came to respect Stabler & all the great Raiders. Imagine these QBs if they hadn’t taken so many hits. They would’ve had much longer careers where they were still excellent until the very end.

Nobody enjoyed being a professional NFL quarterback more than Kenny Stabler, The Snake had fun and beat you doing it. Stabler was awesome.
I know Im asking the wrong place but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I stupidly lost my login password. I love any tips you can offer me.
@Stefan Ronin instablaster ;)
@Dallas Gannon i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Dallas Gannon it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my account :D
@Stefan Ronin Happy to help :)
Stabler tossed a football as if it was a dart - a touch passer who was extremely accurate. I loved watching him on TV.
No one will ever make me believe that the Canton busts of Madden and Stabler don't talk to each other at night.
He and John are with each other now 😢
Rest in peace snake you made it into the Hall of Fame where you belong now you with Bear Bryant I can hear you all say roll tide roll we all miss you snake we all still miss you Bear Bryant and we all love you
I'm a Giants fan but I'm amazed how long it took to get Stabler in the HOF. Same with Cliff Branch
He personified the name Raider, as well as Snake. A clever, sneaky pirate. He could always find a way to get it done. One of the most colorful and interesting as well as skillful players ever. Unforgettable. Miss him.
He would out drink you on Friday and beat you on Sunday. My man. Never be another one like him. Luv ya Snake 🐍. RIP
absolutely !!!
my kinda guy
Friday?!😂😂
Try Saturday!!
The snake was the best. I was Lucky to be an Oakland Native and had Raider season tickets to all the Snakes games.
God Bless the "SNAKE" !! The only injustice is He was inducted After He passed!! He was
as tough and clutch as they come. In the mid 1980's I asked Bubba Smith his opinion of Stabler.
His response I will never forget "HE IS THE TRUTH" Bubba said to me. He did not have to say anything else.
Mr. Charm - beautiful man inside and out. Love you Kenny.
He is the most popular Raider of all time on a team full of some of the most popular players in NFL History
Snake not making the HOF in his lifetime is about the biggest injustice I can think of in the history of the NFL. Seriously, WTF?
Agree 100%
Long overdue he should have been a first ballot Hall of famer
True
I agree
You got that one right!!!!!
these guys were from a different mold ,,,,,,flat out tough RIP in piece Kenny Stabler.
they call jim otto mr raider. ken stabler was the COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE. as an original OAKLAND RAIDERS fan and supporter. dear kenny, we miss you and we love you. you are now gods starting quarterback. KEN THE SNAKE STABLER. one of the best quarterbacks that ever lived.
truly well beyond brilliant, even these words are inadequate !!!
I DON'T THINK WE WILL EVER SEE ANOTHER SOUTHPAW LIKE SNAKE !!! R I P KENNY !!!
The other southpaw from Bama might surprise us...Tua for Heisman..
Never debate the snake Ken Stabler we love you from a one Oakland Raider fan
Rest in Power, 🐍.
Legend!!
RIP Kenny I’ll always have your signed jersey on the wall
That's an awesome treasure right there!!
Long live Ken ” The Snake ” Stabler

What took so long? Really? About time. PERIOD
Well deserved and looong overdue...the Snake was amazing to watch!
I have never been a Raiders fan but I did love the Snake
Thanks for the memories, Kenny...John Madden said it all. Nothing else needs to be said...Glad you are in the NFL HOF #12. Better late than never...THROW DEEP BABY!
If there would be a "Bad Ass Hall of Fame", Snake # 12 will be the first one to get enshrined in there!!
Kenny had the highest winning percentage of all QB's until Peyton Manning broke it.
"When in doubt, THROW DEEP!"
~Kenny Stabler
My favorite quarterback
I just assumed he was all ready in? I was shocked that he wasn't! He was as good as anyone during his time!
He is one of the reasons I love football. Read his book its great.
I AGREE jim Marshall, drew Pearson and OTIS TAYLOR.
The HOF has got to seriously look at Joe Jacoby.
My all-time favorite. Miss you Snake!
Nobody better with 2 minutes on the clock and down by 6. Nobody. If you never saw it, you wouldn't understand.

Ken Stabler is the true "Snake".
Stabler should have gone in way before this! Best 2 minute quarterback of all time!💯🙏
I'm so glad have been a raider fan since 1968 and sold malts and sodas at the coliseum, while living five blocks away and having true earlier years signed memorabilia....
I saw a lot of these games personally year after year....
Generation Blanda, Lamonica, Stabler and Plunket alumni...
John Madden, speaks for himself..
Carr...Hmmmm!
When I was a kid and we played sandlot everybody wanted to emulate Stauback...not me I was a lefty and there was nobody as cool as "THE SNAKE"
The snake my 2nd favorite QB back in the day he was awesome!! HOf well deserved 👏
As Madden said.....the most clutch QB ever.
I grew up a Cowboys fan. (NOT a current Jerry Jones supporter! ) How in the H E double L was the Snake not a first ballot inductee!
RIP Legend.
Everyone would have loved his acceptance speech!
Throw deep baby just win baby fucking love it

Snake should have been in the HOF long before 2016!
THE GREATEST
KENNY STABLER
A RAIDER.
I'm glad The Snake Stabler got in the Hall of Fame he should have been in there long time ago. Now what about Cliff Branch , Jack Tatum, Lester Hayes, Rod Martin, etc.
It's a negative mark on the FHoF Trustees and Selectors that Kenny wasn't inducted when he was alive.
Kenny was a fuckin raiders god
Bob Griese also won 2 Superbowls in the 70,s. Went to the Superbowl 3 times in a row. Went undefeated in 1972. He also belongs with Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach and Ken Stabler. Nevertheless Snake you were topps. R.I.P.
Bob Griese was inducted in 1990.
dammed straight, credit where credit is due...
Now its time for Flores,Plunkett, and Branch.
And Tatum.
Long Live Kenny The Snake Stabler 12# RN4L!!! ☠️🏴☠️☠️
About Time, Better Late Than Never, Go Raider Nation.
The Snake, what a fitting call sign for a Top Gun!
Ken Stablers fue el mejor Qb de RAIDERS DESCANSE EN PAZ

Dude is a stud
I hear Dandy Don Meredith from Dallas is not in the HOF. Is that true?! I am a Steelers fan but seriously I think if that is true, then he deserves to get in. Any thoughts?
The Steelers were not the eventual champions in 72. Hard to believe the HOF would make that mistake.
The quintessential Raider is Snake.
The GO.A.T.
Should have been voted in 25 years earlier....discrace
I WAS JUST A KID BUT THOSE PLAY OFF GAMES ARE ETCHED IN MY MEMORY
Sorry the Snake wasn't able to see himself honored by HOF induction. Shame on the hof for not giving him his props while he was alive.
⚘🏈⚘🏈⚘
Snake me baby snake ME!
Zappa
Nothing against Fran, but really, he made it before the Snake.
Its insulting they didn't chose him while alive.
Ken is missed!
did u make that ..?
RN4L Art Shell should have been on the left side of the Snakes bust. ..those who know know. RN4L
This kind of stuff kills you, doesn't it. Lol. As a college QB, I got the rare chance to scrimmage, sweats only, with the Raiders, some of whom I spoke with face to face. It was a trilling day for a young man.
The Snake. And GOD Bless Chris Berman! And John Madden!
He was just Snake. Not THE Snake.
Jake "The Snake " Plummer.
Stabler goes into the HOF with 194 TD passes compared to 222 interceptions.

That,s because Ted Nugent is a singing Fascist.
Kurt Russell bought Snake Stabler a bottle of the finest for his contribution to the NFL and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK
Stabler was a Hall of Famer while he had Madden as a coach and a very average quarterback the other half of his career.
Parents would see him in lake Tahoe casinos on a Saturday night before game on Sunday
