I cant say im a big fan. But they definatley had a punk edge to there sound. They have a bit more debth than the bands dominating the charts at the time.
The trajectory that Hanoi Rock had was the one that every band should have, music and fun, that's why even in their last recent songs they continue to have that touch of progression, not like for example ''bon jovi, which in itself was already very commercial, now It has a very religious and boring tone.
This is not really a Hanoi song. Sounds like a Michael Monroe solo project left over (which it probably was). The only thing making it Hanoi is those downright nasty licks Andy plays during the verse, the I Can't Get It-style lick at the end of the chorus and of course the Hanoi Rocks trademark: the "Finnish Descent" which they do on Don't You Ever Leave Me and a bunch of the old ones
I just realized you said the same thing that came into my mind. Only months ago. I'm not here a lot and slow on the uptake...At least we appreciate the genius! So sad so few understand how great this band was.
Why this album is not in the spotify
Piece of Finnish pop/rock culture. Nice song for nice People.
"You need people like me!" Truer words have never been spoken.
Had them in my DJ library for years. Suddenly tonight, well, technically 1:20 in the morning I wanted to listen to a bunch of Finnish rock.

A well oiled machine. Mikael Monroes own words.
