What surprised you the most in the jury vote and televoting results?

Seeing Malta get so little from the public was so funny since on social media everyone was hyping that song up before the esc started

I am gonna say in one word what surprise me between jury voté and Televote in one word: Ukraine
As an Italian, I literally was laughing so hard from the France-Switzerland-Malta loss, but seriously, France was so good and Switzerland gives me the CHILLS. Malta was kinda funny to see because everyone hyped it up, but it ended up getting way less. It just did not fit the 'genre' of Eurovision, celebrating their own culture or language, like Ukraine, Russia.. and almost everyone did. Mata Hari, Fallen Angel and Karma deserved more points.

The most surprising for me is jury's voting for Ukraine. 170 points of difference!!!
It’s the fact that neither gave Albania more points for me.
Say what you want about juries but they often turn out to be slightly less cruel than the televote

the juries have no taste and play politics too much. Malta, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Belgium should've placed lower while Serbia, Lithuania, and Ukraine should've been placed higher
I disagree only malta should’ve been lower and lithuania higher (also finland) but for the rest it was fine
You have no taste Belgium and Portugal are some of the most classy acts this year, and absolutely deserved the points from jury. Jury rewards class acts and technical brilliance, like Switzerland and France. Malta is the only overrated one, but Destiny still is an excellet vocalist, even if everything else about it didn't work

Well the public is looking for mainly flashy weird acts, acts that you wouldn’t probably hear on the radio that can be a good and a bad thing because they can vote meme songs that people don’t listen to on the radio or brush off many great songs. The jury is there to balence that in order to make sure a song that people actually will hear is sent(but they make mistakes as well). They saved Belgium, Portugal, Bulgaria, Malta, all from being just outside the bottom 4.
This year I agreed more with the juries than the televote(except for SHUM and Discotek). Also, if it was 100% televote only, it would be awful(just look what happened in the 2000’s when it was televote only, pure garbage)

problem with slow songs is that there were toooooo many of them. France and Switz had amazing songs, but after Q2 i honestly couldnt care less about balads
