regarding armenia, the walls could actually rotate, so before the final chorus everything that rosa was doing was visible to the audience, you can actually see the whole structure begin to spin at the end of the second chorus if you pay attention to the floor.
I was a volunteer at Eurovision and saw it live multiple times. Basically the whole structure is rotated towards the audience up until the close up to her face before the last chorus. During that moment the on stage staff spins the structure, so that the removable bit is facing the audience, an then she tears it.
I had no idea Finland sent The Rasmus to Eurovision. I just had the video recommended, saw the thumbnail and went wait...is that? I used to LOVE them in high school. Remember their song In The Shadows? That was ICONIC.
Thanks for the video, I loved re-living all those great moments! What a great year! I can't believe some people were saying it was a weak year (just a few months ago). I was really happy with how things worked out, but three things that disappointed me were: San Marino not qualifying (c'mon, Achille Lauro put on an amazing show!), France coming second to last and Germany being last.
Serbia being announced as the last qualifier, really made me anxious till that point. Last time I was so worried, was in 2013 with Greece, also announced last in the second semi.

They choose songs that are good for the radio. And anything out of the ordinary isn't good, in their eyes. We had a good band this year, one that could've done it, I forgot their name but the ONLY reason they weren't picked was the fact that their song wasn't "appealing to the every day radio listener"
I adore the charming song and attractive personalities of Systur 🇮🇸 They constantly, all this time, supported Ukraine and it was very pleasent to watch how they sincerely rejoiced when we won. Lovely people 🥺❤

I had much more emotions from Portugal 2018 postcards with the lovely music and experiences of the artists, as well as the dances of 2019 in Isarael.

Yes their song were good enough to deserve the win but in the end we all felt that it was more about the politics behind the win and not the actual song. Their win were so predicteble that it was hard to fully enjoy it. There were many song. Flawless songs. Unique songs. The dude Who played the flute diden't actually play it during performance. It was a record ing played back so he can dance. Also in the finale one singer from ukraine had a voice crack/whrong pitch. Greece and france did it with no mistakes. France's was unique also, Greece just had AMAZING bass and very good voice controll. Spain was mainly dancing but eh and the UK guy had amazing voice But think what you will. There is a super large group of musical ppl Who listen and judge. 1 mistake and no vote. And somehow ukraine got a record number of votes. It seems very obvious that this war got them pity points plus the points they'd gotten anyway.

Whoc ares? It made the Ukranians happy when their lives were full of fear and grief. These "Ukraine shouldn't have won" comments are honestly so insensitive. It's just a song contest. Why is it so bad to go out of your way to make others happy?
In a normal circumstances Ukraine would not be in a top 5.
Personally I think it still would have had a good chance of being in top 5. But what is Eurovision if not a chance for Europe to show its support to those who need it? The entire competition exists for that reason - to unify Europe. I think it was just win combining a good song and an important message of unity and support Europe has for Ukraine.

@@mariasirona1622 Yeah, I do know that. That's exactly why I said it's meant to unify Europe. ESC can try as much as it wants to be apolitical, but it's never going to fully achieve that. We've had sympathy votes before. We've had the entire audience boo at the Russian artists. Hatari with their Palestine flags. As long as there's live audience and televotes, it will never be non-political. And that's fine. This time Europe came together to show their support for Ukraine. You absolutely can show your support in more than one way. Just because voting them at the Eurovision isn't going to buy Ukraine weapons doesn't make the support and what their victory can represent meaningless or useless.
