      Tbh bro I’m not sure yet because this first time doing it to the car, but on a lot of my other cars I’ve done it to. It never affected anything. When I get done lowering it more I took it back to get alignment to make sure i don’t go thru more tires. It never seemed to mess up anything bro. I’ve been doing it for awhile now and ima keep doing with lowering springs that are just not low Enough.

    This is real dumb and unsafe the springs came a certain way for a reason they were engineered that and way not to be cut by want to be mechanic hot boys. is too much compression, too fast. Stock springs are often soft, and removing length will allow them to compress too far. Shocks/struts not meant for lowering will be too soft for the short range of spring travel and will be too long. Now you've got suspension with a high propensity to bottom-out and dampers working well out of their range of efficiency.
    If the dampers can't control the up and down movement of the springs, the car will bounce. You increase the risk of bottoming out and breaking your shocks. Please don’t promote this bs, I rather get cheap ahh set of maxpeeding rods coilovers for less than $400 shipped to you then screw a car “ you care about” up.

    • @mattsauto6462
      @mattsauto6462  2 роки тому +3

      Is it really unsafe? If people out there driving around on factory springs that are 20years old and already clapped out. I know alot of wanna be mechanic hot bois that went to school for years and are well over ase certified and will still cut theirs springs. I also grew up in a neighborhood where we didn’t have the money to go buy the right stuff/equipment but we managed to Still get the job done. I understand how springs work and I’ve done it before ima do it again. I’m not against cutting springs 😄.

      @@mattsauto6462 forget those people ridding like that they don’t care about there ride or safety that’s why they drive like that. You sure you know how springs work? Cause cutting that metal most definitely changed it’s composition & integrity slightly from the Heat of being cut thereby weaking it. I mean honestly if you’d knew better you’d do better. @@mattsauto6462 it's not just how the car rides it's the over reliability of the suspension components but cutting the springs your ruining the spring rate the were set to perform. This straight your suspension components even more than lowering it with the proper mods.
