In this Lords of the Fallen video. We're going to be taking a look at the four hidden or four unlockable classes of Lords of the Fallen. I'm going to be showing you their starting equipment, talking a little bit about each class and telling you guys a little bit about how to unlock them. Full details on how to unlock them will be on the wiki so you can check that out if you want all the details, but I'll just be kind of giving you a rough synopsis

Can I just ask if you have to play the game through like 2/3/4 times to get all these classes? I'm assuming you only get 1 class per ending right?
One thing Fextralife forgot to mention on the Dark Crusader is that his throwable also heals. If you throw it at your feet or hold the button to charge it it'll heal a decent chunk of health. Works in a pinch during a fight, but is best used to keep yourself topped off when going from fight to fight to save on your good heals.

The lord and the dark crusader have the coolest armor of these four I think.

I am in love with the Radiant Purifier set. Especially that hat. Don't see much cowboy/western hats like that in these kind of games

@KamadakeX All the gear from starter classes are obtainable in game.
@@BlackGoatsEgg thank you for confirming. I wasn't sure if the hidden classes gear were the exception to that rule. Have some gear strive for now. 🙂
@KamadakeX No problem. The only thing the starter/hidden classes do is give you additional point in certain stats, gear,spells, and weapons that are obtainable at different parts of the game, so like early access for a late game spell for instance. But like I said it's all obtainable in game.

Just wanna thank you for all the hard work! I used to hate souls like games because they are too difficult and have horrible tutorials, but with your Elden ring guides I learned how to play the game, and now it’s my favorite genre. I beat Elden ring twice, I’m having a blast with lies of P, and this game is next on my list!
Good to hear! Welcome to the community. My story is similar. Started with Bloodborne and Fighting Cowboy got me through. I found Fextra not long after and love his videos.
You need to play the dark souls remastered and ds3 when you done with ya ventures they better than what you’d expect I mean ds3 is know fire but ds1 just immaculate teaches you the basics of soulslikes
Elden Ring is the most accessible by far. Great game as well as a great introduction to the genre to be honest. My first exposure was the original Demons Souls game. Have been playing the remastered version recently on PS5.

I heard that the Dark Crusader was nerfed because in the earlier versions it was melting bosses effortlessly.

@@NONxXxFiction A Paladin build is really strong in this game. It might start off a bit slow, but once you get a decent Radiance stat and start upgrading the right gear, it's beastly in both melee combat and ranged casting. I started with the Dark Crusader and added Agony's Light catalyst, Pieta's Sword, and the Bloody Glory grand sword. May weapons get scaling mostly from Radiance, so I have a lot of points that can be allocated elsewhere like for stamina and health.

That sword looks dope. Very quick for its dize with huge range and nice moveset.

wow. these look excellent; yet another reason to play.
Guess I'm going for Lord first. I got Deluxe edition so I've been rolling with Dark Crusader, and it's felt pretty balanced so far. Decided to spec into an Umbral caster with it too.
Lords set looks awesome
Class concepts are so cool, i'm already planning multiple runs based on that. I hope the devs can fix the game.
For those who own the standard edition of the game and don't want to wait until you complete the questline for the Dark Crusader class, you can buy it as an add-on as well.

I won't lie, I haven't made it very far into this game yet so I never knew these classes existed until now, but now I will grind to get the umbral class ending because I want to create an umbral reaper like build and this would be a great class to start that off with

The class is awesome to make people want to try to do it without beacons but the one for all beacons is pretty good too and I'm not good enough of a player ever at the start of these type games to want to try to do it without bonfires in the blind. May cheat somehow and just unlock all the classes and never try that. /shrug

If you want to beat Lightreaper, you can summon a high level friend at the Vestige and make short work of him.
i think the best bet to beat lightreaper at start of the game is to start doing co-op at the first vestiage and keep doing it until you're level 200 or so :P
Honestly, fextralife's gameplay is like a tutorial on how to dominate 'Lords of the Fallen'. As for quin69? It's like a tutorial on... what not to do?
Definitely getting Umbral Class for first playthrough as there is no class that can start out with umbral magic
At least with Radiance and Inferno you already have the option just weaker
Few notes about the class
You start off with a pretty good weapon with B scaling on both stats at +10 and its a short sword

Hi, and sorry if this has already been answered, but it seems you don't get achievements in multiplayer if you are the visitor (barring multiplayer achievements), so does that mean I can't complete the game in, say, Inferno in my partner's game and unlock the class for my game? We both want all three classes but don't really fancy playing the game 6 times. 3, I could maybe manage, but 6 times seems a bit much!
Is there a location I can get that lord axe? Or is it only available to you if you choose the lord class after obtaining it
Dude the putrid childmos amazing...he is my fav right now..mix it with holy.or fire then u put the poison umblu skill omg..so many stats and they die instantly
Is it possible to get the lord armor from a vendor/location/enemy or is it only unlocked through getting the class?
If you meed to beat the game to unlock them, isn't that a waste then? Why would I start a new class, when I can continue my leveled character?

@@CDA843 this game is a remake, the original wasn't even fun, and it's definitely not a souls game, it make look like one. Unless you are a content creator, I don't see any reward to replay this NG+, especially those that pre-ordered the deluxe version that has the NG+ already unlocked and playable.

I wanna let you know your info on “you can light beacons and still do the Umbral ending” is a lie. If you light the beacon you cannot give damarose the seedpod. So it locks you out immediately
Putrid Child: Takes by far the most effort to unlock.
Also Putrid Child: Has the worst items, spells, and catalyst of any secret starting class and its amulet is replaceable with better options in the first hour of gameplay.
Why couldn't we have at least gotten a really good weapon like Ellianne's Sword.
Wait, after you finished the game. Do you have access to the unlocked classes in NG+
You can’t change class so you have access for a new character, all the gear for all classes is found ingame though
I’m not a fan of unlocking other classes AFTER you beat the game. If you’re like and only play with one character then this is kind of useless to you. Also this also asks the question “why aren’t these already an option at the beginning of the game?”
I think they are an option in the deluxe edition if I am not wrong

@@respicio2990 the dark crusader is. Also is very scummy that they did that too. Remnant 2 also did this and I’m sure we’re going to see this more regularly since it’s being normalized by the audience.

Be careful even with the Radiant ending, you can fail it and not get any class.
That happened to me. Cleansed all beacons but never did the rune of adyr properly i guess.
I fought adyr and never got the radiant class at the end. Have to speedrun NG+ now for it
You didn't explain how to unlock the lord class or show how to? I can visit the wiki and find the same info you just provide and with more information cause you did mention more stuff you had to do to unlock the class. Great video but missing important details
He explained quite clearly you do everything you did for the last class Except just dont cleanse anything.
Maybe pay better attention.

Hey on the wiki it says to do the umbral ending you give the thing / kill damarose but she's not in pilgrims perch because I clensed the first beacon because I assumed that was what I had to do to progress the game. Is the umbral ending bricked now?
If you cleanse any beacon the umbral ending is no longer possible

Ahh yes, Dark Crusader. The "weakest". That armor singlehandedly hard carries a lot of fights, and the one handed R1 attacks are pure gold for mob clear.
I think he meant weakest of the 4 secret classes, still stronger than starting classes.
He said out of the 4 secret ones not the weakest out of every single one... but he also said that about Putrid Child... so grain of salt and all
So as long as you meet the requirements, you have these classes for NG or just NG+?
Logically, they have to be available in NG since going into NG+ doesn't involve creating a new character and choosing a class.
Are these classes only available for ng+ runs or can you start a new character on New Game with them once you unlock them? I can’t find the answer to that online.
You cannot change your class mid game so you cannot use them in NG+. The classes unlock for new characters. That said, all the equipment they use is available in game as you play so you can just put it on.

The strongest class in this game are the throwable ones, the hammer hits really hard '-'

I spent the whole game praising how strong and tanky it was, really loved this armor set.

Yes you can find the armor near endgame

You still can get the radiance class then do it over to try and get lord
Anyone else having serious performance issues frame drops and stuttering while playing on ps5? The performance issues are so bad it makes the game feel bad to play
I'm on XSX and it's running horrible
PS5 here and no issues. Turn off motion blur and also turn off HDR. For a lot of people, HDR is bugging for them and making the game have issues running at 60fps
Yes, I play on performance mode and there are constant FPS drops, so it doesn't not feel like smooth 60 FPS.
@@zackeryh250 I’ve heard that the hdr is a big problem from a post on Reddit looks like I’m going to try and switch around my settings to see if it helps.. future edit turns out my hdr was off the whole time and the game has been running like garbage so I really don’t know what else I can do to get the game to not run like garbage
@@zackeryh250this needs to be pinned somewhere. Everyone is saying to just turn off the visual- motion blur etc etc. HDR off is the answer. 👍🏼

With the exception of Dark crusader they are unlocked depending on which ending you do. So at the very least you need to beat the game 3 times to get all classes
You can still play umbral. Like any starting class they are just low level optimized to build on from there. But you can just turn any class into an umbral build as you move through the game normally so you’re only missing out on a small head start on your first playthrough. And you’ll get all the stuff the class starts with eventually anyway.

Not a stupid question. They call it a starting class because you can "start" a fresh game with said class without going into new game plus. Like the hidden classes in Remnant 2.

its so funny to me that Lords of the Fallen has a proper viable "Hex" build like Dark souls 2 had (umbral scaling off of both spell casting stats) but Elden Ring doesn't.

So I can't find the answer for this question: To get the lord ending do I just kill the boss then walk away from the beacon? Do I interact with it at all? I don't want to fuck myself because I can't find anyone actually showing what to do or not do

@@600_pac8 I looked at the wiki. In the moment you activated one you can’t get the lord or umbral class anymore.
Than you should activate all the beacon to get the radiance class.

I think it annoys me that these are misable and locked out of getting them all in one run. Like now you need to know how to unlock them on your first playthrough so you can get atleast one, to then start with that play that and then unlock another. Thing is if you don't look them up you'd never know and going in blind means you miss out on some fun options for second and third playthroughs. Seems like you can either go in blind then have more work to do in other runs or look up a guide and ruin things but save yourself a lot of trouble.
Wish you could unlock them all before the end.
I expect the Radiant Purifier to be saying: "It's High Noon" 😆

So by the sounds of it the lord class ending seems like the bad ending not cleansing the beacons so i cant get that class or that armour unless i do that ending annoying i want the armour.

@@BlackenedRainvowPigs I decided from another reply saying the same to just unlock the class as I know you get the armour at the the end game area. So no use unless you plan on doing NG+ so I will unlock it and start a new character.

If you like more dark souls type gameplay over bloodborn then yeah it's a lot slower the BB and close to old dark souls like combat

If you want to play a good Souls like play Lies of P which is an amazing game with addicting combat plus it doesn't have a shit load of performance issues
Yes. It's a pretty good experience.
Depends who you ask. I would say it is but I'm a huge fan of souls like games and I'm a sucker for the lore, dark fantasy backdrop etc. Combat is Hella clunky and the camera can suck but if you can put that aside this is a gorgeous game

I don't know bro, I got the lord and the radiant purifier,for hidden classes they do feel irrelevant they delivering no uniqueness and they only have higher stats/level than the regular classes which the game recomends on your first playthrough

Forget unlocking a secret class I need the frame rate unlocked on ps5 game runs like shit
My concern with this is that *starting classes are used at the start of the game, so to have to play through the game 3 times to have all starting classes upon character creation is self-defeating because you'd be burnt-out of the game having played it so much.* Even if you started each NG with each new class unlocked from any given ending, why would you bother playing beyond that? Would you ever feel like playing the game yet again because its never the game itself that changes? Unlike with games like Nioh2.
And even then, you can make any class into anything once you find weapons/items and level a certain way so... like, this all seems like a very muddled reward/incentive system.
If however, the world itself changed with each ending and playing with an unlocked class, then I could see some replayability but as it stands, I almost don't see any point playing through the game more than once.

real question is why the heck would i care about unlcoking these classes when I have literally all this shit..but better base stats (nothing wasted like random points in strength) including the armor and weapons and spells lol. Like...they shoulda offered something unique. Aint not point...and you gotta essentially look up a guide for everythign (or you are a liar/data-miner) which takes the fun out of that part too cuz this game locks you out of questing by like touching an elevator and stupid triggers. Elden ring was confusing AF but at least I could hit up 99% of the quests at any point.
I like the game overall but the unlockable classes are offering nothing...literally have all of this already lol - and the quests to unlock them are annoying.
My character now is liek a more optimized version of the putrid child, and I have his armor (not wearing it) and no wasted stat points, and his weapon....all of it.. lol. But yeah let me follow a 300 step wiki to unlock it xD
I got a 4090ti and other high end rig components. Etc. this game runs like UNKEMPT ASS. Really awful stuttering. I want to enjoy it but I will wait until it’s patched before I try again. Refunded.

They need to nerf poison on bosses. I am seeing bosses get cheesed. It doesn't look healthy for the game when a boss is easily cheesed by poison. Just nerf the amount of time they are poisoned and a lower poison buildup. Like they are poisoned for a fixed amount of time. Like 7 seconds or something. It is healthier imo.
