Scarface is one of my all time favourite movies so seeing all the Scarface references but with Cartman and KFC was hilarious and so fun to see. Randy also going to the lengths of getting testicular cancer just to smoke a joint is so in character for him
They made this episode just as Colorado was becoming one of the first two states to legalize marijuana for recreational use. Their existential commentary is on point.
Jamie Oliver is this British animals rights guy who's also a Chef. He once made a bunch of kids watch how chicken nuggets were made then cried when the kids still picked the nuggets over the vegan ones he made.
I will never understand why adults think that showing children where their meat comes from is automatically going to make them vegetarian/vegan. When I was in high school, one of my teachers did the same thing, showed us a slaughterhouse documentary and when asked if watching the documentary change our minds about meat , I told her no. There were a few who did and I turned to them and called them stupid. They weren’t doing it for ethical reasons but because the teacher, who was vegan, showed them some propaganda. I told her and those students, I was already very much aware where meat came from. Those kids didn’t for whatever reason. I told them about the fact that as a child, my class was taken to a farm where we learned all about where meat came from. They went quiet. I think one said she thought meat just came from the store. I need to stress that this was in high school.

A fun one with Randy in a semi-early episode is Season 3 Episode 8 - Two Guys Naked in a Hot Tub. It's one of if not the first episodes to introduce Butters as a character, and makes fun of how incredibly dumb the ATF was at the time, with events like Ruby Ridge and Waco happening. (The ATF is still very dumb nowadays, but that's some of their all-time greatest blooper reels moments)
Jamie Oliver is one of those TV personality chefs in the UK like Gordan Ramsey (only not so angry lol) He is memed on a lot for his effort to try and make school lunches healthy. Hence why the KFC Colonel wants him dead in this episode
I watched an episode of Jamie Oliver's healthy school dinners. He was talking to a doctor who said that he was seeing children who were so constipated from living on chicken nuggets, fries etc, that their bodies were forcing them to vomit poop.
A great early Randy episode is *Volcano - Season1 Episode 3* which I believe introduces Randy as a character. We also get Uncle Jimbo and Ned, Patrick Duffy for a leg, a celery hand, and Kenny being full of debauchery. Early _South Park_ was a different beast, as Matt and Trey were trying hard to establish themselves. I still love a lot of their 90's episodes, whereas they despise everything they did for the 1st three seasons. Randy is nearly all science and no weed in that episode
@@yeahhobbs Great!! Gonna watch that one now. Your boy said to recommend early Randy episodes, and that was the earliest Randy there was. In spite of what the creators say, seasons 1-3 had some gems. One episode that was really good was *The Red Badge of Gayness* in which the boys and adults all do Civil War reenactments. The interesting thing about that episode was that they had one lady doing the voices for all the female characters at that time, but she died. They had one week to do an episode where they had to have an all-male cast do the voices, so they came up with that episode, on the fly. That really is what makes _South Park_ so special. Nearly every episode is written, animated, voiced, and broadcast in a week. By putting that kind of pressure on themselves, what they come up with is pure and raw. They also made that episode when they were making their movie, so they really had to churn something out and it turned out wholly original. Try it at some point. It is *The Red Badge Of Gayness* Season 3 Episode 14

So the bit about the “Colonel don’t Play” isn’t exactly a joke. The man behind KFC Colonel Sanders actually sold the company and recipes with the intent that they follow said recipes when expanding the franchise. The new company executives decided to cut corners to save money since the original recipe was so expensive, and Colonel Sanders Sued KFC and the new Management behind them. They settled out of court for like 5 million and later for again for another 1 million for something.
