Looks impressive man. I can't imagine the months (years?) of headache you went through to create this, especially to get it integrating with all those other applications and OS's. For a one-man operation that is a lot of work.
if you have support for one program that uses LUT's, you have support for all programs that use LUT's, simply because they use the same technology. Stil, it must have been a shit ton of work!
That's true, but each program that uses his LUT would need to be tested rigorously with test patterns to be interpreting the LUT values in the exact same way as 3D LUT creator is creating them to make sure there are no errors which can cause wrong colours or banding. I've been working with the 1D Windows LUT via SetDeviceGammaRamp (the one used to load monitor calibrations) and already have found for example that it's very picky about the values I send it; unless I scale all values to 65536 and then finally truncate to 65535 (rather than scaling directly to 65535) it can result in severe banding on certain LUTs. I am also applying this LUT to a .png file of a grey ramp which becomes the LUT used by ReShade to apply the calibration to games, and that wasn't working properly either: values near black were getting slightly mis-mapped causing banding near black. Then I had issues where gamma transformations on certain table values were causing divide by zero errors in my code, for example doing a gamma transform before truncating to the max/min value, rather than after, and I have to account for those cases (sometimes my program throws a "inf" value , othertime "-inf" (negative infinity) and other times "NaN" (not a number). Probably the hardest thing for me was making sure the smoothing around neighbouring polynomial quartics are tapering off to the exact same digital value, otherwise the transition isn't smooth and yep you guessed it again - banding! Working with LUTs is a lot harder than I thought so that's why I wanted to give some props to Oleg.
So why not use FLOSS algorithms? Or even ready to use libraries for non-linear color manipulation? No offence, but if you get DB0 or NaN, then probably it's your only chance anyways.
Lucas ...Você ainda usa o programa? Eu to usando e to com problemas..alias, tentando usar..ele importa do photoshop pro lut mas nao volta ..ele ta configurado certinho..vc poderia me ajudar? meu whats 016981226161 agradeceria muito
So let's say you wanted to remove also green from the skin tones in highlights and mid tones. If you did that - whole green background bokeh would shift to yellow. This is why you do this stuff in photoshop using masks - to do the hue changes locally to the area which needs color correction and NOT to the whole image.
Yes, I use my program together with photoshop all the time. If need to localize the correction, I can draw the mask, but as I use 3D LUT Creator to make the adjustment, the mask can be very rough and can be drawn in a few seconds, cause there are no color changes on the mask boundaries, but only on the needed parts.
Ok, but I think you might have mentioned that if you want to really remove green from skin tones you can combo it with Photoshop to achieve the best possible results. But I do like how it has no banding when it does color correction. :)
YakMan NC you can save images in 3dlutcreator to jpeg, tiff etc, but it doesn't contain any image editing functions such as crop, clone stamp etc, so usually I use together with photoshop.
Can you make a lut, and export a 3d lut for cameras to use, not just software? And if so, which camera support do you have? I’d love to create a 3d lut and then Put that into a camera and be able to record the image with that lut.
It's more question to the camera manufacturers than to 3D LUT Creator. 3D LUT Creator saves luts in almost all known lut formats. I don't know about the cameras, but sure there are video monitors supporting luts.

? I think this product is great , but it seem very hard to understand and follow, so I guess the ? question would be do you have any beginner version of how to use this panel.... also im very interested in how would you take movie coloring and create a luts to be able to apply to your photo
I just purchased a copy of it. You may take a still from your video, open it in 3DLC, edit this image and then save the changes you've made as the Lookup Table (as .cube for instance). Then you apply this LUT in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects, and the footage gets the look of your editer still.
Actually to me it seems very logical. You select the points located at the color you want to change and move them to another spot. Not complicated at all.
The thing that scares me off is author saying it's a feature existing only in his software. You know, HSL/V *curves* (i.e. not linear editing) aren't exactly unknown. One of the good, open source implementations would be in RawTherapee (Colors>HSL equaliser). It doesn't support saving CLUTs, but it's totally not a problem, as you can save processing settings and export it in own, layman-level toolchain of RT CLI + ImageMagick/GMIC or whatever you want. And you gain clearity, because - at least IMO - working with curves makes result easier to understand than tangled web; in extreme cases (like rotation of the whole web) the web would look 100% the same as original one, without any indication of changes.
I don't know if you did notice, but this video is 5 years old. I can't be sure if RawTherapee had this function back then, but since that moment many programs has adopted even the color grid itself. And still, HSL curve cant be the replacement for the color grid, how would you change neutrals with that curve?
@@agorka it's open source, so you can be sure. And that's just one of the functions, so you can change a lot more. Of course you got other implementations of non-linear color modifications, all way over 5 yo.
Makes great software, cant afford even few bucks for website design. And talking about website, why it does look like advertising landing page ( like most scam pages ) ?
Been using this since beta, it's actually much better than described here, it's truly amazing, for me no other program comes even close!
Love it. Can't wait to try it.

okokokok i admit that you know waaaaaay more about this than i do xD
So why not use FLOSS algorithms? Or even ready to use libraries for non-linear color manipulation? No offence, but if you get DB0 or NaN, then probably it's your only chance anyways.
Amazing, this is really impressive.
I'm not much for gear obsessing, be it hardware or software. But this looks genuinely unique and useful! Good work!
Thank you so much for the nice explanation!
I’m definitely buying this program
Can you make a detailed video on the things you did here with keyboard shortcuts used?
Lots of bugs. I've got color bending and lots other issues most of the time even working with TIFFs
what a great program!
Amazing piece of software
it's nice 🙌
This is super cool...
Amazing
This channel I saw it in a youtube ad this great the program
I'm Brazilian and this was recommended on UA-cam Brazil, it's very strange, but it's good.

amazing Software
Amazing....
uhhh Im gettin this
Is your software can make a selection, then mask, then transfer the mask to Photoshop ? Thanks
this is borderline black magic - simply genius!
amazing
Awesome
this is gold
coooollllll!!!!
nice !!!
you need to change that icon thought, a professional program like yours needs a more professional icon.
message me if you decided to do it.
joc auto Q
joc auto You're right. I did graphic design in college (uk) and if I made a logo like that, my tutor would destroy me.
haha so true.
Not really, look at Lucisart interface and how overused it was.
it's better not change now , or the learning cost will increase ,and will not be a good recognition for us.
really something new here
not like photoshop
i don't feel any thing new before cs5 until now with this ☺
JUST WOW! Can final edits be done and saved to any format distributed and used.. or would it need final touches in programs like Photoshop?
YakMan NC you can save images in 3dlutcreator to jpeg, tiff etc, but it doesn't contain any image editing functions such as crop, clone stamp etc, so usually I use together with photoshop.
Can you make a video on how to use a color palette and make color harmony?
Hahaha technology makes me laugh. This is beautiful.
like it 👍
intuitive
does this work with sony raw files? and can the colour corrected image be exported to capture one pro?
No don't buy
Dope
I m gonna buy it
need to know what i’m getting myself into before making the purchase
cool
Smart
how can i contact to color matching dialog??
Tried to pay with 2 diff cards and PayPal and nothing worked. Is it down now?

Is their a Mac version?
there is
Респект за программу ! Планируется ли русский язык ?
what the fuck damn I am excited
I use Mac, does it has a Mac version?
Jongli阿洌 yes.
Damn. How much is this program?
I think it is a text to speech saying this tbh.
My virus checker blocked the demo installation of 3dLUTcreator.
soooooooo sexy program!!!
Can you edit colors with it that contain RGB values higher than 1 (or 255) like they exist in Raw, hdr or OpenEXR Files?
NVM why do I even ask? Of course it can.
Stuntkoala if you load raw or exr, 3dlutcreator converts it to LogC curve, that way it can handle much wider dynamic range.
I request for the link coz i have no money to buy

Only one word to say: 相见恨晚
is this free?
too expensive for me
Just another ad for consumers- this is not proffesional software(the name of SW tells that itself).
Davinci resolve it's the best Color grade Software
VSauce
hola buenas tardes atodos
can i ask why not get a shitty camera and edit with this? l0l
what ?
learn HSL option in All Adobe software.
time wst
Simul Sarker you just didn't get the video. HSL is a hammer while 3DLC is a surgical knife
too expensive...
So you can change the color of a picture....
MR.BUBBLES
Is that not cool..?
$200 for pro-version? Way overpriced!... Its more expensive that any piece of software I own.
I need to know the name of the chick at 0:16
