Mike I had a G07 on my shelf for two years because I gave up on it. After watching this I checked my B+ pot and that was it - thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
I've got some arcade cabinets and I'm working the courage up to do some servicing. I work on electronics just haven't dove it yet with CRTs so thank you for all this sharing., I'm hoarding CRTs now and hoping I can repair in the future, LOL
I love it when its simple! Great timing too. I just pulled two dead G07's out of my Ms. Pac and Jr. Pac. They bought the farm at the same time apparently!
Dang I think that fixed the horizontal width issue I was having with my crt just sweeping the pot back and forth several times fixed that issue. Thanks now to tackle the problem of very little green. Blue and red work great but green is very faint. I have to turn the red and blue almost all the way down to see green. Any suggestions? Can I read voltage coming out of the pots or from the transistors? BTW someone replaced the monitor in the Galaga with a newer one, the crt is a Samsung and the chassis and the tube are both labeled WG1466760 whatever that is? Thanks 🙏
Have you done any WGM2794’s? I just picked up a Big Buck Hunter arcade and the screen is totally dead. I have power going in, fuse is good. This is new to me so I’m not sure where to go next
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair ok no worries. I did find 2 capacitors that are leaking so I’m going to start there. Fingers crossed! Is it possible to switch out the monitor chassis for something more common and reliable?
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair No problem Mike, I understand life gets in the way at times. I was referred to you by some arcade groups. my Ms Pac Man/Galaga reunion machine is having some monitor issues. The bottom part of the screen has a line out of place on test which is causing the screen to be squished at the bottom and the words 'FREE PLAY' upside down and backwards and stretched out into the play field. the rest of the monitor is great.
I have a g07 monitor that keeps blowing fuse f902 and I’ve checked diodes d901-904 and they all check good at around 500-800. Any ideas at what the problem is?

Sweet! You’re welcome

another great video! You are a wonderful asset to the collector community. Thanks
Smeggin awesome documentation sir !
Outstanding video, sir!👏
Thank you for explaining this perfectly! Outstanding teacher.
thank you! , it has been very useful to me!
Good Diagnosis.
Thank you.
Hi Mike, wondering if you have ever covered how to use magnetic convergence strips on a monitor?
Not yet but soon!
Hey Mike, any chance you'll ever cover Sanyo EZ 19" chassis rebuilds and troubleshooting?
If I get one across the bench, sure!

Awesome. If the pots on the neckboard are good, it’s very likely the tube simply has a weak green electron gun. Might need a rejuvenation.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepairThanks that’s kind of what I was afraid of 😂
Such a small thing completely disabling the monitor! It would have taken someone without your experience a long time to figure this one out.

No, unfortunately. Just 9200s. The digital monitors are such a pain that most people don’t work on them.

Unfortunately no.
What is g07?? Saludos desde uruguay
Mike, are you accepting monitor boards for re capping? I have a WG K7400
Not at the moment. My apologies. Going through a home remodeling at the moment and I still have some backlog to get through. It just needs recapped?

Check the B+ resistor. If it reads shorted, the voltage regulator is bad. Also make sure the ceramic resistor next to the rectifier diodes is good.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair ok, I’ll take a look. Thanks
After measuring the b+ resistor I am getting 211 olms. Also the cf11 cap is bloated at the top, could that be the problem?
Yes!
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair ok, does a regular g07 cap kit include that cap? Sorry for the questions I’m just not really knowledgeable with monitor
Nope. It’s ok. You can get it separately
how to contact? can i send you a board to check n rebuild. thank you
This guy sounds familiar. Hmmm. 😂😂
Those metal pots suck :) I replace them when I can.
