Lambeau is the Meca of the NFL. Owned by the fans, not by some conglomerate or billionaire. Waiting list for season tickets is decades long. Season ticket holders leave their tickets to their heir's in their will. Tailgaiting and sitting in the sun, rain, heat and cold (FREEZING).

Home field advantage is real in American football. The Offense of the visiting teams can’t hear plays called or snap counts,so they have to use silent counts and hand signals to run plays. So much can get lost in translation if you can’t hear. The more home team fans, louder it gets 👍

The funny thing is that Green Bay is a city of just 105000 people. Tiny compared to the massive cities where the other teams are located. The stadium itself holds over 80000 people. So it can almost hold everyone in the city. Just crazy!

The Green Bay Packers added an addition of 6,600 seats to their stadium about 10 years ago. Although they also have a reserve fund, at last mention they had $474 million in the fund, they sold stock to fund the build.
Not just like any stock sale. This stock has no value. Pays no dividend. Can't even be sold. Yet they sold over $60 million of a piece of paper that says you are a stockholder, a partial team owner. Display it well. Obviously Packer fans in every corner of the world, as over 17,000 people from California bought stock at the latest offering.

For me the enjoyment of football peaked back when the Vikings played outdoors at The Old Met. For me football should be played outdoors in whatever the natural conditions would be. I loved it when there would be sub-zero temperatures and there wouldn't even be sideline warming benches because Bud Grant felt his team practiced in extreme cold and were used to it and other teams, especially those from warm/hot climates, came to town and the temperatures were shocking and created an even greater home field advantage. A field that's frozen hard as concrete or a mud bog because it's Fall or Winter but above freezing. Too me, that's football.

The thing with the 2 most expensive stadiums, Allegiant and SoFi, is they end up with a mix of both away fans and home fans because people will set up vacations to see their teams play against Raiders/Chargers/Rams in those stadiums and because the teams are newly moved to those cities (Raiders used to be Oakland, Rams with St. Louis, Chargers were San Diego). '
So, although the stadiums are really cool, the atmosphere is a bit muffled compared to going to a home game at somewhere like Lambeau, or Lumen Field, or Mile High Stadium as another example (the Denver Broncos stadium). Just something to keep in mind. Not that it'd be a bad experience at all just not typical of most home games in the NFL.

Personally I prefer the more traditional open air designs. Arrowhead, Heinz Field, Lambeau Field, weather games are so iconic in the football experience that you almost hope to be at a terrible weather game. Went to the Dolphins Steelers game where the field got so bad due to the downpour no one could score for nearly the entire regular game and the Steelers won 3-0 with a field goal in the last four minutes. Watched the fog bowl between the Bears and Eagles back in the 80s. After the first quarter no one could see more than five to ten feet meaning pass plays were near impossible and many times all you could see was shadows moving in the fog.
Weather games are incredible to be at and that never happens in a domed stadium.

So your favorite was Sofi Stadium in LA. That would be an excellent choice. Not only could you visit the stadium, but you could spend weeks in LA and not run out of experiences. The beach towns, West Hollywood, Orange County, Disneyland, 6 Flags, the Rose Bowl.
I used to live in LA…. You’ll have beautiful weather, and endless things to try. Americana big time. Plus, the food culture in LA is one of the best anywhere in the world. It’s very diverse. The Mexican food is fully authentic since the Mexican American population is massive there. Also, as the largest west coast city (2nd largest in US behind NYC) there’s a huge Asian influence. All of the major cities on the west coast have incredible Asian food (Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, etc.).
LA is also the birthplace of the cheeseburger. The city is the best burger city in the world. Gotta get some In N Out, but there’s countless local spots that will have you shaking your head at how good it is.
And, I’ve seen you guys salivate over Texas BBQ. Fear not, LA has you covered on that as well. There’s plenty of Texas style BBQ spots in LA. Legit Texans who moved west and brought there system and secrets with them. I know, because I lived in Houston, Texas as well. LA delivers if you find the right spots.
Anyways, the other stadium, Lambeau Field, that has the history that you guys said you’d like to see probably isn’t worth the trip… unless you have tickets for a game. Green Bay, Wisconsin is a smaller town and there isn’t much there besides the Packers.
Remember, America is HUGE. I live in Seattle right now (west coast and north). For me to go to New York it’s be about a 5 hour flight. I’ve been there four times in my life. It’s like you guys going to Athens or maybe further.
A trip to the US will be entirely different depending on what you want to see, what kind of weather you prefer (think Portugal vs Finland), whether or not you’re interested in cities or more of a nature trip (sometimes those can be fairly close together, like if you did San Francisco you could also roadtrip up the Nor Cal coast and check out Yosemite and the Redwoods… tallest trees in the world).
Being from Oregon, originally, I’m biased towards the west coast. It’s just prettier. But an east coast trip or the south would be great trips too. I’ve been over 30 states, so I’ve been blessed to see most of the country. So, you’ll want to prioritize what interests you most. America is simply too big to experience everything. Heck, I’m 51 years old and there are tons of places I’d still like to see. And I’m pretty well travelled and have lived a fairly broad life.
Sadly, there are millions of Americans who have never been out of their home state and never been on a plane. Wild 😅.
I enjoy y’all’s vids. It’s interesting seeing outside perspectives of my home country. Sometimes I’m shaking my head at what people say and think is true. Mostly because America is so diverse that we’re hard hard to define. Most of us are just normal boring people living a life. ☮️

When you come to the US, figure out which teams are closest to you. The US is huge, from New York to LA is about 3,000 miles, so unless you're willing to buy a plane ticket to go to a specific stadium, just go to one close to where you'll be. The only stadiums I would avoid is the one in Washington DC. It's awful in comparison to most others. Difficult to get to, expensive and it's falling apart.
The reason just about every one of these rankings has Lambeau as #1 is it's an iconic stadium. When it was built is was more of a high school field than stadium. When I went to games in the late 70's and early 80's the outside of it was covered with that ribbed tin you sometimes see on roofs of buildings. Now it's an awesome stadium after they put hundreds of millions of dollars in upgrades into it in the last 30 years. It's a bucket list experience and if you go there, get there early and check out the tailgating experience.

Baseball stadiums are much more interesting; they all have at least one unique trait and every nook and cranny is part of the field of play. Lambeau is legendary but the fact that the community owns the stadium isn't gonna heighten my experience. Give me SoFi, Allegiance or Minneapolis.

Just so you realize... you talked about the crazy money being generated by the Packers and how they are able to afford to build these stadiums and renovate them etc. This is WITHOUT a relegation system. The money is shared equally among the teams and the "draft" is where the teams make progress. Not the pocket books. Just an interesting talking point I thought I'd bring up.

    • @douglascampbell9809

I would try to follow two or three teams just in case one is a real 'dog'. Which stadium to visit? I would do some research which stadium has the best facilities (not always the newest or biggest) and find out who has the best prices per seat & best priced food. Some times the worst teams have the best prices but not always.

The NFL returns to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Autumn!
New York Jets vs Minnesota Vikings, Sunday 6 October, 2.30pm BST
Jacksonville Jaguars vs Chicago Bears, Sunday 13 October, 2.30pm BST

Fan is short for fanatic, anything that has bragging rights will be bragged about. 2:53, he's right. Someone is gong to be a hater no matter who you pick. Football is the biggest sport in the US and the NFL and has the higest revenue of any sports league in the world. 2nd is Major League Baseball, 3rd is the NBA.
The Packers also have very loyal fans. They weren't very good for most of the 70s and 80s. A long time passed between Bart Starr's retirement in 1972 and Brett Favre's first season as starter in 1992.

Sco-Fi Stadium in LA is hands down the best in the world. It's the home of two NFL teams. There is a really good video on how it was built that's worth cehcking out, It cost an estimated 6 billion dollars to build it.

Arrowhead in Kansas City is not new and fancy but is the loudest record holder, not Seattle and without being built for it. Best tailgate in the NFL and currently has the best player in the league and the current undisputed dynasty. I give not one damn on hotels or 4k if I had to go to one stadium to watch a game it is Arrowhead. Oh and I am a Raider fan but the truth is the truth.

As a Chiefs fan I must say that this is only partly true. Arrowhead is actually designed to amplify sound. The field is actually three stories below ground level which creates kind of an echoing effect.

Kansas City and Seattle are the best atmosphere to see a game for good fans and the loudest fanbases. Arrowhead (KC) is louder than Seattle and the current Guinness World Record holder. Atlanta is really cool because they keep prices on food and beverage reasonable.

These expensive stadiums are not good. The ticket prices are outrageous. Fans also have to buy a seat license just for the right to buy tickets. Also, these owners shake down the cities and threaten to move the team unless the taxpayers help pay for the stadiums.

For the sake of your own home security, might I advise that you not let the world know that your home will be unoccupied for an extended period of time? I've known too many people that told the internet they were leaving for vacation, only to come home to the surprise that their home was burgled while away.
