people across the globe always claim Americans aren't well traveled. The thing is the United States is so massive there is more things to see than most people can afford to see in a lifetime. Beautiful mountains. Arid deserts. Forests. Volcanos. Beautiful beaches. Waterfalls. Massive cities like NY. Las Vegas. Los Angeles. Miami. Glaciers. Massive lakes. Rivers. The history of America is short, yet incredibly interesting.

American's constantly get made fun of for not being "world travelers" because most of us dont leave the states; especially by Europeans. What they fail to realize is that the USA is more like the EU, with each of our states being an entire country. This is not only true with regards to how big each of our states are compared to European countries, but with how different each states culture is. Im a NYer, from nose to tail its 8 hours (buffalo to the end of Long Island).
We have everything that can be seen when traveling abroad- Desert like the sahara? Arizona; Itching for a tropical destination? hit up Hawaii or Puerto Rico; Like skiing in the Alps? Hit up Colorado and Utah. We have the ability to see absolutely anything, without needing our passport.

I've recently learned from watching videos like these that many around the world don't realize how large and varied America is and think we're untraveled. Just last week I was accused of not owning a passport which I do. Took a trip to the Bahama's last summer. 🥰 I'm not a fan of flying and I too was a lot older (40+) when I took my first flight. Anyway, sir you are correct, we don't need to leave our country because there's so much to do and see right in our own backyard. And because if its size we need not only money, but time and planning to see much of it so many of us fly a lot. We don't have that luxury to just jump on a subway/train or go by car and be in another state in under an hour two unless you're near the board of a one. As an example: I'm in PA and to go from my state to NY by car would take about 7 hours. 18 hours to Miami, Fl, to LA 1 day and 10 hours and so on. We are massive. 😊

Driving thru PCH / Highway 1 / Highway 101 are my favorite road trips. The scenic Pacific Coastline with its picturesque coastal towns, stunning panoramic views, rugged terrain (e.g, Big Sur, Lost Coast), historic landmarks. It’s my perfect getaway from the city. I love exploring and appreciating the unique beauty of our coastline; the tranquility of nature - Avenue of the Giants & Howland Hill Rd - I can never get enough! There’s a reason why the Pacific Coastline is the ultimate road trip for travelers worldwide.
Also lived in Arlington, VA for a few months and the east coast is so pretty with the four seasons. The Skyline Drive during fall was unforgettable.

You are correct... there is so much to see in the US that many people simply never make it overseas. And, the average annual US vacation time of two weeks (vs up to a month in Europe) adds to the complexity; why spend 4 days round-trip travel time when you can go somewhere in the US within a few hours? Most people understand the importance of immersing oneself in a completely different overseas culture, and would love to do so, but the cost and required time is often impractical once you're a grown-up with a job.

That bridge is built the way it is because that’s all that’s needed to do the job. Remember…it’s 7 miles long!!! No reason to build it higher.

Russia and Canada are large but located further north so a lot of the country is very cold. China is similarly large but only has one coast and the western end of the country has mountainous and dessert terrain and is sparsely populated compared to the eastern half.

The US is massive. I mean the distance from seattle to Miami is longer than the distance from London to Baghdad. Europeans love to trash on Americans for never going anywhere, but when to cross two MASSIVE oceans to go anywhere else which costs significant sums of money then to only go to places in Europe that is also still very pricey compared to let's say much of SouthEast Asia, South America or Africa, it is a huge deterrent to travel to let's say much of Europe. After all, the equivalent to travel from let's say London to Rome would be pretty much almost the distance from Seattle to Denver, and you won't make it all the way to Denver either, so you won't even cross a third of the country at all. That's the thing man, Americans would LOVE to travel, but when it comes to price, convenience of not having to have a passport AND the US is still very varied, it's just easier to stay in the USA.

It is so dry that only Death Vallery receives less rain of snow. I could wash a load of six heavy towels and hang them to dry outside. The Redwoods trees, are actually taller than the length of a football field by 79 Ft. A lot of the South including Florida, is Very Hot and Humid, so be prepared. Not their in the park, I don't think, but part of Yellowstone is in Montana, and their definitely are hot springs you can go in their. Plus several other hot springs across the country.

This doesn't even scratch the surface of all there is to see in America. Places like Niagra Falls in New York and Devils Tower in Wyoming and Pikes Peak in Colorado as well as Garden of the Gods just to name a few. I've lived in America my entire life and still have not seen everything there is to see here.

The Hot Springs they showed in this video are not the kind you can soak in, if you like having skin. We don't generally travel abroad a lot because there is so much in the US to do and see. Unless you want to see a specific landmark, there is really no reason for the long, expensive flights, converting currencies, using travel adapters, or even having a passport. We literally have every climate, every landscape, and virtually every culture within the US that you can find around the world. We also get on average half the vacation or holiday time off than Europeans get on average, and very often it's not worth the hassle of going abroad unless you can go for at least two weeks. So Europeans have twice as much opportunity to travel to other countries than Americans do. Other than Canada and Mexico, we can't drive to another country in any reasonable amount of time like Europeans can. I don't think many Europeans grasp the sheer size of the US. You can drive from the left side of Great Britain to the right side in about 10 hours, or one day if you're ambitious. If i did the same in the US it would take about 40hrs., or 4-6 days That's the equivalent of a full work week to drive nonstop from coast to coast. I could spend my entire 2 week vacation just driving from my home in Maryland to California and back, nonstop, and get back just in time to go back to work because my vacation would be over.

There are so much diversity of landscapes and climate in the United States. There really is no way to do a top 25. There are thousands of places to see with awe inspiring panoramas. There is really no where else like it on the planet, it would take an entire life-time to explore it and you would still not see everything that it has. If you're interested in hot springs the world's largest are in Colorado. You're correct the hot springs of Yellow Stone are volcanic and dangerously hot. If you want to travel to the U.S you really have to research it and choose what type of climate and geography you want to experience. One video can not reveal how amazing it its. Its like no where else definitely in this solar system and maybe the universe.
