This was the first Killing Voice. Previously there was just “Killing Verse” that showcased a live compilation of a certain rapper’s performances. Somewhere in the UA-cam universe there exists a pre and post performance interview where Solar explains that a year prior she had contacted Dingo to do a “Killing Verse” to promote her solo ep. At that time Dingo rejected her idea because they were focused on rappers. After the covid shutdown, Dingo reconnected to do it with Mamamoo as a whole. You can see some of the graphics say “Killing Voice” while others still say “Killing Verse”.
Mamamoo has a very wide discography. They are always trying different genres... And they are also successful solo artists 😀

I highly recommend you check out their 4 seasons, 4 projects releases. This is a project that Mamamoo worked incredibly hard on. Each project represented a season for each album with a title track and solo songs for every member.

Red moon (summer) title track: egotistic
Blue;s (fall) title track: wind flower
White wind (winter), title track: gogobebe
For their solo stuff, here are my recommendations:

Welcome to the rabbit hole of great vocals. Might want to check out the fancam of the opening of MY Con. All four have released great solo projects. So they switched songs and share parts on four others.
The title of the song written in Korean that you asked about is Starry Night. I think it would have helped if you had turned on subtitles. You might have caught the song titles shown in Korean besides understanding their what they were saying to each other and tho the lyric translation was mediocre you'd have had an idea of what the songs were about. The song title was on the top line and the album title and year of release were underneath, tho there was one mistake - Dingga was on the Travel album along with the final song Aya.
Nice guess Karla but Dingga doesn't have anything to do with bells. Dingga is a slang word meaning fool around and have fun. Dingga was Mamamoo's way of cheering us up when we were socially distant during the pandemic. In the song and MV they fantasize about things they'd like to do with friends of all ages including eating ice cream, playing children's games, roller skating, going for a drive or drinking like a fish.
This medley is just a small sample of their discography from 2014 to 2020 but you're correct about the diversity of their music, which includes hip hop, latin pop, r&b, jazz, bossa nova, ballads, reggaeton, pop dance tracks and much more. They've released over a dozen albums as a full group and another dozen or so as soloists or a subunit besides OST songs for films and kdramas, CF songs, and a ton of collabs and features with other artists. As you might imagine, Mamamoo is best when they're live and there are hundreds of hours of yt videos available. They rarely tour outside of Asia and I felt lucky to see them in NY and Baltimore earlier this year on their first US tour.
You should watch the MV for any of these songs you haven't seen already. I Miss You doesn't have an MV so watch their performance on the tv show Queendom. There is only one problem with Mamamoo... after hearing them you realize that they are in a league of their own.
4 succesful solo artists while also being a succesful group of friends coming from what used to be a small company.
Unlike some groups, they don't stick to a genrre. They don't rely on CGI's or acrobatics but each focus on their sound. They are best when singing live and you haven't seen anything yet until you see how they feed of the audience in performances.
The running joke with them is that they have a major flaw, it being sucking on lip singing, which is why they very rately do it but instead always have their mics on. :)

These are basically their biggest songs at the time. But their discography is huge. Too many good sings to list really. :) Some highlights: "Immortal Songs Medley" must watch. "I Miss You" from the Queendom competition. There's a version that shows their competitors reacting to their performance. "Gleam", "WooHoo" and "Wanna Be Myself" are all fantastic and are actually commercials (glasses, LG and sportswear). Mature is a pretty accurate description about their performance and song content. Maybe not their personalities. 😄 Their MamamooTv content is great BTS stuff.
If you like the Killing Voice format I highly recommend Seventeen's performance. It's a party and a half! Red Velvet also did one just a few days ago. So fun watching you guys jam to Mamamoo live. 😺

They have over 400 videos so a lot of content. They sound mature because they were older than typical for lpop idols when they had their debut in 2014. This dingo came out Nov 2020, Solar (the power belter) was 29 yrs old as was Moonbyul (rapper, she was 28 but her birthday is december), Wheein and Hwasa were 25 years old, so yes these are women singing not teens or early 20 something girls. Makes a difference. A newer medley from last year is on from the Hwasa show, Mamamoo hit songs collection, another medley but with the full song 1llella(from last year) and the ballad paint me. They all have solo albums, do a whole lot of covers and OSTs as well. One of their best vocal performances can be found in an LG phone commercial woo hoo and a Pikachu song. Their live performance are a must see because they just sound so good live but their MVs are well produced. Most will go to Immortal Songs for more covers and vocal flexing. Their Debut song is Mr Ambiguous, the first song on the video. Followed by Piano Man and Um ah oh yeh. with songs, covers, ost and collabs they do 25 songs every year. They have active youtube channels, Wheein and Moonbyul's are newer amusing content. Solar has Solarsido for the last 5 years, many covers on that. One of the best covers of michael jackson man in the mirror, acapellas, a franki valli cover as well as he doing a song from mata hari. They also have a subgroup mamamoo+ which released two mini albums this year, GGBB and Chico Malo or dang dang, save me all are great. Wheein just released a solo a few weeks go. If you want to cry, watch the live performance from Moosical of the song I love too.
I think Mamamoo one of the greatest and best kpop girl group after 2NE1..with the killing voice and they are extremely talented..

There are live performances, but they still have a lot of post-production still. There is a unedited version floating around the volume mixing is not as good and some of the harmonies are slightly off but even on their worst performance which this was not even close they are beyond incredibly talented and killed this performance. I would check it out if you want to hear them singing live.

I hope you will take them in order by release date. Personally, I always prefer when people start from the beginning so you can see the group's changes and growth over time. Their Debut song is the first one in this video.
The English title of their debut song is 'Mr Ambiguous'. That song is followed up by 'Piano Man'. :)
Obviously some songs BLEW UP and went viral while others remain comparatively ignored, which is a crying shame. ALL of their songs are at the very least 'good' if not 'GREAT!'.
These ladies came from humble beginnings so I hope you check them out very thoroughly. Nobody works harder in the entertainment industry than these four awesome ladies.
Their company was a Start-Up before they debuted. RBW is now one of the better-known companies in Korea, and that absolutely is because THESE FOUR WOMEN CARRIED THAT COMPANY ON THEIR BACKS for years on end. If it was not for Mamamoo, RBW would not still be a company, it never would have gotten off the ground.
I am not kidding about how hard they have worked. They absolutely deserve every little bit of fame and fortune they could possibly want. They are also GOOD people; nobody deserves to succeed like GOOD people deserve success.
