As a nurse I can tell you most if us don’t care about healthy treats (especially after a long day) and are happy with every little gift from patients, it’s not required for us to care for you obv but it makes us feel appreciated ❤

@@The_AvantGarde Look, I’m not trying to be mean or anything, but your nursery design just isn’t great. Baby’s are happier in nursery’s with warm or bright colours, not dark ones. The tree with the dark green is beautiful, but that dark blue wallpaper is not good. In my opinion (as an interior designer) , would suggest keeping the wall white with some cute decorative frames. That way the baby will be in a lighter environment and make it happier

Now they just look bleh to me. It's all vending machine stuff. I mean, I like the lip balm. But it would also be weird to show up with a bunch of home made stuff. You do realize that 1.) the RNs appreciate whatever you give them no matter how small it is 2.) Social media shows people going way over the top on absolutely everything making soon to be moms who don't have the money to do things like this feel horrible about theirself. Becoming a mother for the first time is hard enough as it is. We shouldn't be putting more pressure on moms, but especially first time moms 3.) You do realize all of the RNs, CNAs, Dr's, and the cleaning staff who work at the hospital are getting paid to be there and they literally chose that profession?? 4.) RNs make good money. CNAs do the hard work and heavy lifting and are not paid enough and are constantly overlooked. Cleaning staff at hospitals do not get any kind of recognition and it's not right. They probably have the hardest most dangerous jobs as cleaners than other cleaners unless you're a crime scene cleaner or work at the morgue. Let's start showing everyone the kindness and appreciation we want shown to us. I say let's put the GOLDEN RULE back in place and start treating others how we want to be treated. Let's show eachother grace when someone is having a bad day or a hard time in life.
I'd say fix a basket of snacks and set it out in your room with a sign thanking everyone that works in the hospital and offering everyone who comes into your room a snack.
By the way, we need those snacks that are considered unhealthy sometimes for the little bit of a sugar rush to make it through the last couple of hours of a bad shift

in don't buy chips and junk food like this...but if i'm stressed and in a rush and it's right in front of me I'd demolish it. I was sugar free for 3 years before i started working in an office where some , "thoughtful, kind person" started leaving treats on people's desk chairs. It's not a kindness to leave food with no nutrtional value nor protein, full of chemicals for busy nurses. Will they devour it if they've been working 10 hrs and haven't gotten a lunch break and be glad something's there? sure. You could have at least included some more upscale treats and varied it with some healthier treats so those who are trying to eat healthy aren't tempted. Also things that have day-glo orange dust on them? probably not a good idea. just b/c people eat junk food doesn't mean it's a gift to give it to them. This doesn't look like a gift it looks like you are restocking the vending machine.

Having spent a lot of time around the medical profession I can tell you if this was me getting this I would take it down & give it to the less fortunate. It's the patients that are the less fortunate that give you the smallest but most genuine thank you's that stay with you for life. Honestly I'm not trying to make you feel bad but if a homeless man on the street helped in some way would you do the same. When you are in positions where you experience all sorts of people from all walks of life you learn that people always make a point of doing things like this for the wrong people & post it all over the internet. Seeing this just makes my heart ache & makes me lose faith in humanity even more.💔😿

It's ironic that you say that b/c if you were to step back and reflect on your comment, you sound so pious yet you are making assumptions, you don't know what she does behind closed doors, you don't know the motives of her heart, I'm glad she posted this video because it's inspiring and it encourages others to be generous.
God gives different individuals gifts and talents and desires.
While others bless the homeless, others bless nursing homes, hospitals, animal shelters, woman shelters, prisoners ect...
Don't lose hope in humanity instead check yourself and see if you are part of the problem or solution 🙏 Blessings💗

So it’s always good for you to have it be a space you want to spend time in. As well as a room that makes you and the mom/parent feel comfortable and relaxed (especially of breastfeeding) because it will reduce your stress and thus premoting the baby to be more calm and it Aalto help with recovery and lease the chance and or effects of postpartum depression and or anxiety.
