Cliff Edge Abandoned House Everything Left Behind - Untouched For 20 Years

  • We explore an abandoned house that sits on the cliff edge, 20 years have passed without a thing being touched. As the cliff erodes, the house becomes closer to the sea.
Beds are made and the table is set, the only reminder of its abandonment are the vines that crawl through the windows and the sagging walls.

This place was just so sweet, so relieved to see a place that vandals haven’t trashed, just decay. I loved seeing their books and magazines as well. You really can imagine the people living there. I have seen another video on this place and they said an old lady lived there for a long time and people still see her spirit on the cliffs! You guys are so good at this 🥰

Glad you enjoyed it Trudie! 😊 Certainly is, it's good to keep locations under wraps for this reason, when they're a bit more out of the way they escape the vandals too.
Wow, that's interesting, we did feel a bit spooked outside afterwards whilst taking photos, Karl heard a whisper in his ear too! 😲

This brought a tear to my eye's, I'd be afraid of a landslide and everyone going over the edge, strange place for a house I noticed it was up on stilts. Lovely beside the sea but not a cliff top. Beautiful wee home nevertheless..sad vibes with this one. That interview was with elton john regarding the salad if i remember correctly. "CAN YOU RIDE TANDEM". pg tips. The sinks in the bedrooms look like what you would get in a bed and breakfast. I read the Dandy and Beano as a child, then went onto Bunty. Lovely explore i enjoyed it. Cheers S and J xx ❤️💙

I used to have those wooden slatted dining room chairs in the 80s - I remember my parents getting them from Habitat I think..also the Funday Times! Wow those things took me back to my childhood. I'm amazed at all the untouched places you guys come across. It's really fascinating how these places just get left and untouched for so long! Thanks for sharing them with us. Great videos guys 👍😊.

I thought this quite a sad video,I kept thinking of a family there that had made memories of bygone times. The little Teddy and Dolly left behind, but as Jess said"they have each other" I loved the Blue dressing table,a lovely bit of up cycling,so sad it is going to waste,it would look lovely in an eclectic home. I have some tiny drawers and an over mantle from one that I have painted. It makes me feel sad seeing all the lovely furniture and crockery just sitting there rotting away.

    • @Samandjessexplore
      @Samandjessexplore  3 роки тому

I agree, there's always a degree of sadness, I try to think of the good times that would of been had there.
It's really a museum of their life, out living them, allowing people beyond their time to appreciate their personality through their belongings.

A lovely time warp location . Sadly it is unlikely to have a long term future. Decay is taking it over gradually, but coastal erosion will literally send it over the edge in time. Great that you were able to do an explore, especially as it doesn’t seem to have suffered much vandalism yet, which is always good. The usual respect was going on there, during your walk around. You are the people to keep these great explore videos going. Thanks again.

Cute home. The corner bedroom sink, we never had those in homes here in Indiana. I've seen so many like that one in your videos. It's almost like, why didnt people here do that! Anyway, the stove was absolutely the cutest! The iron, well let me just tell you, I wished we had one like that when I was little lol We had the handle that had interchangeable iron bases, so while you used 1, the other base was heating on the wood stove lol The cat cookie jar that had no top they used as a planter, we had one exactly like that in the early 70s. An that push broom you called a Hoover, that's still popular here in the U.S. when young people say go to college. Great for bare floors and or indoor outdoor carpet. Jess just needed to push an pull faster lol Loved the video! Short and definitely sweet. xx

You are agents of spiritual utility as well as curiosity! From an anthropological standpoint your channel shows how humans live and die! The Egyptians collected their possessions and were buried with them with the view of ownership in the “next world” Some of the properties you show are unbelievable both in their splendor and impoverishment! I think how could this home/possessions be just left- the Waste! But your channel shows that when we die we really can’t take it with us. Through family dysfunction/death-no communication etc there is wastage! When I consider and am saddened how my grandmothers property was “given away” I just click on your channel. Thank you. The PG Tip catchphrase- You hum it, son, I'll play it!

Judging by how old the electrics are, id say that building was constructed around the 30s - 40s, the plug on that iron is a pre 1947 BS546 5amp round pin with the socket on the wall to fit.. the square pins (the plugs we use today) were phased in around 1947 onwards.

Im working my way back through your uploads.
And having wondered into my own drift of thoughts from last nights incredible views
    Of astounding video footage
Up in the valleys upon the peaks
    of the Welsh fountain sides)
I some how wanted to say,
That the UNIVERSE could sooo benefit from you guys grabbing a fat euro lotto win !! (Not sure they still do them but you catch my gesture)
Because with you and your team on the tasks,
I’m certain the delegation and the deliverance of jobs and men required
Would see so many others benefit from the outstanding results that you’s would Achieve.
My drift of thought was this,,
    Had you and yours
    Of been discovered
    before Lloyd Grossman
It would be your name on a tasty type of sauce jar and
Through the key hole couldn’t ever of been as popular as it were!
You guys keep it real and that’s what makes you an addictive channel to tune into .
No doubt if you were to bring a flavour to the market
It would not be superficially tasteless !
Everything you do shows great respect for the owners home items both in and out of their properties.
What a dream it would be to be able to buy
A handful of those place and renovate them back to life!!
The furniture and furnishings sure were made to last!!
Thanks to people such as you and your crew
Both old and young peeps will have a common
And modern ground creating a talking stage
To combine old skills with new skills
Joining hands in places were the ground is probably full of decent nutrients still.
Imagine the plums and the cherry’s the gooseberry and the grapes
The spinach and the lettuce .
With all that woodland space you’ll find
A few firm yet fair footprints
    Heartily encompassed on that ,
    Could genuinely assist
    in healing that which
    Young miss Greta spoke of!
Thanks to your variety of feeds
The next generation won’t be getting to bogged down by the Covid malarkey (fears)
And instead will be positively taking productive action
To keep all things bright and beautiful .
    Thanks for
    Reminding us all
    Of the equal shares
Of beauty that we get to share
    in the lands out there.
    Regardless of our stature.
    There’s always be beauty found
    in togetherness !!
Stay safe !! And thanks again.
My insomnia isn’t half as haunting of late !!
(My head is a jungle jungle , and some of these houses /buildings/ factory’s : have reminded me , that we as humans
    can be abit like
    abandoned houses
    should we get
    to distanced from that
    which is indeed
    our personal trails of corn
(breadcrumbs) so the story goes in Hansel and Gretel’s tale !
    ( forgive my spelling )
Sunday Blessings to you and the readers !

Btw that was not a hoover it was called a carpet sweeper, people used them to do a quick sweep between main hoovering or if you had maybe dropped something that needed a quick cleanup, no electric.

But they were useless at picking up anything smaller than, like, half a sandwich. My nan had one :-)

      I see! Brilliant, very handy.
Closest thing I can relate to that is a mini handheld hoover my grandad used to have, I'd eat biscuits clumsily just so I had the pleasure of hoovering up the crumbs... lol
      Thanks for sharing 👍😃

Those sweepers were mostly made by a company called ewbank. My gran had one and thought it was great as a kid sweeping up the crud from the floor.

Back in the day it seemed to be more common! Not so much these days. Maybe something to do with having less bathrooms, everyone then had a personal sink for brushing teeth and washing things off if the bathroom was busy. Might be more behind it than that 😊
