I got on TRT at the age of 58, been on it 14 months now. I personally feel like TRT doesn’t give me anything I don’t earn. If I don’t eat for my goals and train hard I get nothing out of it. Honestly I feel like a really good nights sleep does more for me than the TRT. Just MY 2 cents

Right. I have patients on TRT and don't even lift. Other older patients might be lifting but not serious and still have 14" arms after 5 + yrs in the gym. Right. Sleep, diet, nutrition and lifestyle (avoid alcohol, avoid stress) can have a bigger effect than the TRT / HRT.

By the way, I am on 140mg of Test cypionate per week, work out 5 times a week, keep a close eye on my diet, protein and carbs intake, do cardio and follow a very strict bed time frame, ah I am 56 years old, and TRT does make a huge difference.

@aeoliun a guy who is extremely generically advantaged will have more muscle than a lot of poor responders on gear or not as genetically gifted individuals on even high doses, take that genetic freak on roids and you have a Mr.Olympia.
An average guy on gear with average response will outgrow most moderately talented naturals. Gear doesn't do all the work but for someone like 215lbs at 5'9" at 21% after 1 year of lifting and you sauce me up for 5+ years I won't guarantee I would win a MR.O but I would look like someone who competes at that level provide I can handle the gear.
My point is genetics are everything but gear can add 30-70 lbs on top of your peak physique and you will attain it faster.

PED’s make a world of a difference. Ofc you’re gonna have to set the stimulus for muscle to grow as well but since you’re recovery is better and your PS is elevated 24/7 you’re gonna have a much easier time to put on muscle, at least until you come close to the maximum muscle building potential on that dosage. I know people that went on to 300 mg per week just recently and boy it makes a night and day difference. There’s a reason why these substances are banned. They are very potent so ofc they work and make a huge difference. Now that being said, it’s not to take away from enhanced people’s training, they still have to train right but saying PED’s do not make a huge difference is simply not true.

The whole natty or not debate is so pointless. The real discussion should be GOOD vs BAD genetics. A man with bad genetics can take a full blown cycle, and still be smaller or look worse than a natty with great genetics.
Notice how it's always natty dudes with good genetics calling steroid users "cheaters" and saying that they earned all of their gains through "hard work". In reality, you were born with a significant advantage over most steroid users, and i imagine you actually probably don't train as hard as dudes with terrible genes who are desperate to make gains.

For all the guys doing U/L split, how do you manage your volume during leg trainig?
The sweet spot is between 5-8 sets per muscle group per workout, but isn't doing that for such large muscle groups too hard on the CNS? After 8 sets of quads, how can you properly train your hams? I know that the solution for most is: start one day with quads, the other with hams
But what about a front/back/shoulders&arms day? With one day where you train all your mirror muscles, and in the other you train both back and hams?

Nobody in the history of ever believes that taking TRT automatically grows muscle without training ! Everybody in the history of ever believed that TRT will enhance the effects of training!

I get so tired of seeing people comment all the time:
"Yeah but try that as a natural!"
    "What about for natural lifters"
"That workout only works if you are on gear"
"you wont recover from that if natural"
    etc etc etc
They just do not want to hear that it makes virtually no difference when it comes to training. For one your CNS doesn't care if you are enhanced or natural and that's the real factor when it comes to overall recovery and quality of training long term.
Most it seems just want to use being natural as a coping mechanism or excuse to not train hard
Im natural and trained for decades natural using both high volume and high intensity in each workout and having tried near everything out there and every variable inbetween find my best results working a bro split lol. Although I will still switch to a higher frequency split from time to time just for a change before switching back

@@sengunvolkan If your goal is strictly bodybuilding / aesthetics (or even strength included) Id likely give up deadlifting if its causing issues. its a heavily energy taxing excercise that isn't really needed for bodybuilding and if anything can hold you back, especially if its already giving you joint issues, i'd consider avoiding it and replacing it with another exercise/s.
In fact try and avoid any hinge movements for the Si joint (deadlift or squat variations) if having issues.
These can easily be worked around and you'll actually save more energy allowing for more weekly volume if you wished in the long term.

I’m also today for fact it’s a metal thing as well. I’m 40 6’4 252 and I train with two others 39 5’6 205 and 38 6’0 215 and they take TRT . But I move more weight than them . I been training since I got out the army in 2013 and man they don’t push as hard as I push . I train to look good naked for the wife and I know 252 but I’m at 24% bmi that’s great so it’s a mind set . I do no ego lighting , and I work 12 hr shifts . So I have to manage sleep , training and family life style . That’s very hard but I believe I was bless with good genes .
