You can cut out letters and glaze over then remove the letters. I did it the hard way with an exact blade. It was cool!
I use a dog paw print as my maker mark so really enjoyed this video thanks for sharing
Transfer tape should work better as stencil - easier to remove because of lower tack than vinyl.
One other thing you can try is make stamps from acrylic, just be aware not all colours can be cut with a diode laser.
But overall it's refreshing to see how you're incorporating this in your craft, not just doing generic "laser gift" items.

Great concept, can the paw prints be used more than once or they just single use and then discard.
