Yes b/c as I mentioned there's no logo on this cup so I don't need to try to center the engraved design off anything. The reason for the tape is placement, but in this case the placement really doesn't matter.

Doesn't the green line have an "engraving" at that spot the whole time? i did mine like that and when I frame, it seems to do just that

You can just turn it off and on. If you don't want to keep it in position you can set the cap part into the holder on the side of the laser module

When you cut with the blade you want to use the cutting mat.

i'm not sure about an SVG but I would reach out to xTool and tell them you have a part missing and hopefully they will send it.

My rotary didn’t come with the clear ruler & doesn’t show it in the manual either. Is this a mistake?
The clear ruler came with the M1, not the rotary.
The clear ruler comes with the riser base/ honeycomb. If you search you can find the Xtool project for the focus adjustment ruler to make yourself.
Can sublimation/sublimated tumblers be engraved?
I haven't tried it..but you certainly could

Can the M1 engrave on clear acrylic sheets?
No it can not.
There are other UA-cam videos that show how you can engrave on clear acrylic with this machine. Only engrave, it will not cut.
