I've been a musician my whole life, including a full-time pro for 8 years in Hawaii and California during the 70-80's and I'm a tough sell on performing bands. I am happy to say that this great band, Leonid and Friends, gave me chicken skin listening to and watching them and a huge smile from ear to ear. If there is a better argument for bringing people and nations together better than the performance of great music I have never encountered it. God bless you all and thanks for your hard work and devotion.
Never in my wildest imagination would I have dreamed that Russian musicians would fifty years later replicate perfectly my favorite bands’ famous hits. Incredible, amazing and exciting!

Danny Seraphine, one of the true founders of Chicago and part of the band in those days the band still deserved to be named Chicago, paying tribute to this incredible band by joining them on drums > well one doesn’t need to say anything more. Passion and music can make anything happen ;-)
We were fortunate enough to see them in Clearwater. The show was beyond amazing. Such a talented and fun band. America loves you , Leonid and Friends. Hurry back!

You just can’t get any better than that!! Never forget the fact that if there would not have been the original Chicago, there might not have been a Leonid & Friends. Chicago’s sound was so unique. That’s why people couldn’t decide which type of music they were playing? Rock, Jazz, Fusion, et al.? I’m not sure, but when Leonid first heard Chicago a long time ago in Russia, he was blown away. It’s his almost lifelong dream come true, to be able to give us this wonderful gift of recreating the music of Chicago!

I have met the real band and seen them numerous times over the years . . . most recently as a year ago. I have to say that if you close your eyes and listen, Leonid and Friends sounds like Chicago when they originally played the music 50 years ago. They are amazing. GO GET 'EM!!

Honestly, I've never been a fan of Chicago or their music, but this band just blows me away with their enthusiasm, spirit, energy, musicianship, moxie, elan, panache, verve, and love. Man oh man, I can't get over it.
That must have been really fun for him-to experience playing with such a great band who has the energy of people who aren’t jaded by the whole music biz. Just play your heart out and none of the politics.

I am a retired (due to multiple surgeries) professional drummer, worked in Los Angeles for almost 30 years...Love Chicago (I now live very close to Chicago also)....I wouldn't pay to see them but I would pay to see you cats! Bravo!! Igor is amazing...and sounds so much better with the group than the other drummer....sorry, just my opinion. ROCK ON!!!!
andrew shourd- Yes, they are KILLER!!! Igor is great but the band had to let Danny Seraphine (Chicago's original drummer) sit in because it was a treat for Danny. That tells the story of how amazing these musicians are!! I wish Leonid and Friends would tour on a larger scale.
@@mbeeps - Agreed, Danny was the first drummer I ever knew to perform one -handed drum rolls. His technique and skill is still amazing. I play drums but I'm in awe of Danny and Igor! They're on a whole different level!!!

The truest test of talent for any musical group is the live performance sound. Studios are magical places where mixers and technology often help bring it to the levels of greatness. Live however is the test. This wonderful group sounds AMAZING live! I just don't have the words to describe the greatest sounding cover band that has ever lived. I am going to get tickets because this would be tragic to miss.

This amazing collage of a great band was superbly planned out..especially the audio! The mixes are top notch and virtually identical. It's rare to hear the bass lines and tone so clearly in most live vids. Top notch all around👌❤️

Super intelligent, incredible musical talent...oh and she’s also one of the most stunningly gorgeous women walking the planet. Just awesome.

This blows me away every time I watch it! What a testament to just how consistent this amazing group of human beings is from show to show, to be able to cut and edit one song from several different shows together so seamlessly is a feat all in it's own,,,but to be able to do it with every single song you played is unheard of and damn near impossible,,,such impeccable timing every time! FANTASTIC!

Thanks a million to whoever took the time to edit this so very well. It makes you notice how seamlessly all these versions of the same song can be blended together. The same pitch, the same rhythm and emphasis and the same tempo. I'm not a musician, but I don't think many bands can deliver such performances!

Have to add to the chorus of WOWs! Not only is the joy of this band apparently on their faces, but the balance and sound quality from venue to venue is mind blowing. Not only is Leonid a great bass player and singer, he brings that Russian perfection to the sound! The mix is perfect in every room! All it would take is the right original tune and this group will be topping the charts. Please come to Charlotte NC soon!
This is the best cover band on the planet. This full band style we grew up with is practically gone to non complex, bad lyric, no harmony music. Amazing work guys, I know you spent many months rehearsing. If you get back to the US try to schedule a Nashville show.
The Chicago Trumpet book is not particularly difficult. This trumpet player has more than enough talent to make it look easy as does the original great Lee Loughnane
Growing up Chicago was my favorite band. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear and see your fine musicianship. It is a pure joy to watch and I would love to see you in person someday.

We drove 500 miles round trip to see L&F in Los Angeles (2018) and it was worth every mile. It's astonishing how good they are.

Bravo!! Igor is amazing...and sounds so much better with the group than the other drummer....sorry, just my opinion. ROCK ON!!!!
andrew shourd- Yes, they are KILLER!!! Igor is great but the band had to let Danny Seraphine (Chicago's original drummer) sit in because it was a treat for Danny. That tells the story of how amazing these musicians are!! I wish Leonid and Friends would tour on a larger scale.

@@mbeeps - Agreed, Danny was the first drummer I ever knew to perform one -handed drum rolls. His technique and skill is still amazing. I play drums but I'm in awe of Danny and Igor! They're on a whole different level!!!
Drew Shourd no your right!!! I would pay them over the present Chicago... they are definitely the better especially the horn section..I played trumpet to a lot of this... I don’t hear any mistake I heard them in the early Chicago in their concerts

The truest test of talent for any musical group is the live performance sound. Studios are magical places where mixers and technology often help bring it to the levels of greatness. Live however is the test. This wonderful group sounds AMAZING live! I just don't have the words to describe the greatest sounding cover band that has ever lived. I am going to get tickets because this would be tragic to miss.

This amazing collage of a great band was superbly planned out..especially the audio!
The mixes are top notch and virtually identical. It's rare to hear the bass lines and tone so clearly in most live vids.

The greatest cover band in the world playing some of the greatest original songs in the history of popular music. And did Ksenia hit the genetic lottery or what? Super intelligent, incredible musical talent...oh and she’s also one of the most stunningly gorgeous women walking the planet. Just awesome.

Please, don't let the fans and audience demands eat you up as it has with so many; continue as you started - doing "your own thing" and what you want, not necessarily what "we" want. This blows me away every time I watch it! What a testament to just how consistent this amazing group of human beings is from show to show, to be able to cut and edit one song from several different shows together so seamlessly is a feat all in it's own,,,but to be able to do it with every single song you played is unheard of and damn near impossible,,,such impeccable timing every time! FANTASTIC!

I love that their regular awesome guy stepped aside for a few. Their guy is soooooo good and I heard him praise Danny as the greatest in an interview.

Leonid! I've tried for ten minutes to write something here. If I praise one person then I'm afraid of not praising someone else enough, and everyone - the band and the crew - was responsible for me smiling, laughing, and singing for this video. Spasibo! I can't say enough good things about everyone's performance! Please say that your U.S. tour is not a once in a lifetime event!

Thanks a million to whoever took the time to edit this so very well. It makes you notice how seamlessly all these versions of the same song can be blended together. The same pitch, the same rhythm and emphasis and the same tempo. I'm not a musician, but I don't think many bands can deliver such performances!
Fantastic -- need to come to northern CAL! You all nailed it, perfection across the board... and Ksenia, well, if there is a more beautiful gal and angelic voice than hers in music, I don't know who that would be.

This is SO well done, it gives everyone who cares to see just how good L&F are! I edit this because I forgot to mention that I really LOVED seeing Danny Seraphine in there on the drums on several segments. He was THE drummer for Chicago, and he was definitely "diggin' it" here, it brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for this wonderful post! PS: We saw them in Jim Thorpe, PA in July, 2019, hope to see them again on May Day, 2021, tickets are in hand! (Cancelled from 7/16/20)

Have to add to the chorus of WOWs! Not only is the joy of this band apparently on their faces, but the balance and sound quality from venue to venue is mind blowing. Not only is Leonid a great bass player and singer, he brings that Russian perfection to the sound! The mix is perfect in every room! All it would take is the right original tune and this group will be topping the charts. Please come to Charlotte NC soon!
This is the best cover band on the planet. This full band style we grew up with is practically gone to non complex, bad lyric, no harmony music. Amazing work guys, I know you spent many months rehearsing. If you get back to the US try to schedule a Nashville show.

Growing up Chicago was my favorite band. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear and see your fine musicianship. It is a pure joy to watch and I would love to see you in person someday.
