the reason i made these kind of videos in English is because history and content about this topics are already available in urdu and hindi but for people who only understand English these types of content rarely get uploaded by other UA-camrs ..however I will try to put urdu caption option in my videos for the next videos I upload
How is the relationship between Chisthi and Qadri in India today with regard to Sama? I am asking, because I tended to associate Sufi sama primarily with the Chisthi order. Yet, if I listen to popularized Sufi poetry songs sung by i.e. Abida Parveen, I notice that poetry from Bullhe Shah and the latter's shaykh Bahu are quite frequently used, both of which belonged to the Qadri tariqa, didn't they? So, was and is Sama also preserved by the Indian Qadri tariqa? Thanks a lot for your elaborations and greetings from Switzerland.
Thanks for the comment Sama is actually an important among the sufis both for the qadri and chisti order however both have different interpretation for the same according to the famous qadariya razawiya order sama must be performed following the rules of shariah and there are different other rules for it like the person performing the sama must be educated enough in the knowledge of Islam , also according to many qadri orders of India musical instrument are usually not used in the gathering of sama , The qadris usually sing naat and manqabats in their sama , Chistis in India usually tend to use musical instruments and usually performed the samas in form of qawwalis you might have heard about it , qadris have done a great work preserving the essence of sama through their poems for a long time
@@TheIntrovertScholar Thanks a lot for this enlightening answer. Yes, this makes sense. I've been reading some texts by Bahu and the founder of Qadiryyah - Al-Qadir Jilani - lately and it occurred to me that both advocated a rather "strict" interpretation of Shari'a which then would make sense that i.e. instruments are not used. So, is it correct to state that the tradition of qawwalis - insofar as (to my limited knowledge) instruments are being used - are a proper of the Chisti order?
@@raphaelwalterlin1681 I'll be making a seperate video about the qadariya order and it's influence in India and yes the instruments are used in the chisti order , The chisti's have supported the idea of mixing local ideas and folk with their spiritual practices amir khsrow is a great example and I have already made a video on him about how he mixed the indian culture and sufism in his poems
@@TheIntrovertScholar Thanks for your patience and time to explain. I will surely check your video on Amir Kshrow. I often hear his name mentioned in songs i.e. by the Sabri Brothers or Rizwan-Muazzam. Keep up your good work!
CORRECTION !!
Sufis don't belive in the concept of Hulul
